Excellent discussion Harry and Andrew. I loved everything about this. Casual, sometimes humorous but filled with facts and opinions that can be trusted. I love you guys ❣️
I watch you guys on MSNBC all the time but it was very enjoyable to listen to you both discussing these complicated matters in a casual setting. Thank you Harry and Andrew!
Thank you, thank you, thank you both! This is the exact reason why I am delighted every single time my talking feds notifications is triggered. The combination of knowledge and plain speak is outstanding.
Thank you for such an in-depth look at the book by Pomerantz and his theories and contentions. Long-form discussions from knowledgeable individuals certainly clarify issues involved in such cases. I hope you both will do more of these.
The Dynamic Duo, love hearing you guys give your expert opinions, here and also on Deadline. Looking comfortable and casual on the weekend. Big Aussie fan watching from Australia.
Harry, I like listening to your video's, you and your guests provide more indepth content that we just don't get on cable networks. Look forward to your next video.
I think you guys had a lot of fun tonight. There’s nothing like having a deeper conversation with somebody who knows all the ins and outs iof the background of what you’re talking about so you just get to PLAY!
Two of my favourite men in the world. Unfortunately it's way past my bedtime here in Ireland. BUT!!! I will definitely come back to RU-vid and watch this tomorrow. I'm going to bed happy, looking forward to it. 😊☘
Two heavy hitters to talk about the Mark Pomerantz book. How much better could it get? I think we're all deeply offended and concerned about the ways Trump hurt the DOJ and Rule of Law and want him held to account. Trump knew how to evade hard evidence of his guilt. That said, there may have been wounded ego involved in settling accounts. Thank you for covering so many aspects of this case.
This was excellent. Thank you both! What a treat to see and hear you in a more casual setting where you can dig down in the nerdy legal weeds that so many of us have become addicted to, thanks to you two. Thoroughly enjoyable.
This was a treat to listen to two engaging, informed, likable and admirable fellows. I hope both of you continue to give us the benefit of your musings
I would have loved it if Glenn Kirschner was part of this discussion, because I think he might disagree a bit. I have respect for all three of these legal minds.
Agreed! It's great to be a nerd and get to listen to you two brilliant and witty nerds talk in depth on this (or any) legal subject. Always a pleasure to learn from you both. Thank you🙏🤓🙏
Ok Late to the party.... But, I am always glad I got to attend! Such a treat when you two sit to discuss important political and legal issues, Thank you xo
Thank you for this. This is like watching a great act on stage, energizing and leaves us wanting more. Would love to hear the two of you take deep dives into how Trump can be stopped from ever holding office again because our judicial system appears to be incapable of constraining him and as History tells us a tyrant thwarted but not removed will grow bold and attempt to strike again.
Bragg needs to resign because he has not done his job going in to three year's after trump left office #disgraceful and #lawless and anyone who says anything different are lawless themselves and I would not trust ???
Excellent discussion by two very qualified attorneys. I’d like fewer interruptions by Harry but I learned a lot from the conversations and they were very interesting.
Thank you, Sirs, for this great video 💙💙 I hope that Jack Smith will finish the Trump saga soon. It's been going on for way too long. I feel like Trump has held the American People Hostage.
As a non american livibg outside of the US Ive been very interested in the ongoing long running Trump prime time legal saga I've come to value the opinion of these two commentators, along with a few other regular legal contributors. Couldn't agree more with the last point raised in this discussion and it is qas enlightening to hear what questions prosecutor's think need to be discussed
I learn so much and I gain so much understanding from the explanations and walk throughs that you and Andrew have provided for us here of the insanity that TFG and his related ilk have dumped into our world, Harry. Thank you. It's seriously so refreshing to get the deeper story than anything available on Deadline WH or elsewhere.
Great deep dive into the subject. Respectfully disagree on a couple of aspects - Bragg/Garland have slow-walked SO MANY potential avenues of potential indictment that the idea that ANY book is going to "spoil" one or all of them begins to look ridiculous - if it looked like SDNY were actually going to do anything then maybe, but Pomerantz's point seems to be "you had all these shots, you didn't take any of them," and that's got to be given serious weight in all this. Massive Dumps is STILL unindicted. STILL!!!!!
There appears to be so many indictments that could be brought against the former president, and yet all we’ve heard are crickets! It’s so disheartening to think they’re operating on two levels of Justice! One for rich and one for every one else? Why such hesitation to go after DJT? Can’t they decide which case to go after first? What are they afraid of? Pick one & indict him! For crying out loud!
I really appreciate this kinda insight. I really appreciate taking feds for doing this. Even though sum of the information makes me furious. So are we saying we can't prosecute criminals unless we have an informant. Our law system is so inept that it won't work unless we can flip one of the defendants this seems ass backwards. I'm sorry rich criminals have it to good in this country. Good Lord!!!
Very interesting, academic discussion. Will Bragg now indict the big, righteous case, or limit the charge to the hush money? If the latter, pretty unsatisfying, especially if not a felony.
Cohen "Cash or Check?" Individual 1 "Check." Cohen "okay, I'll need to start a new Company, tho.." Individual 1 "..okay." - there's LOADS of recordings, remember. already used in Court.
It's sort of a chicken and egg thing. It seems very likely that the threat of this book is the only reason Bragg brought the current case, so he's trying have it both ways - going as lightly as possible on Trump & Co., dragging his feet, and then when the book's imminent publication forced him to do *something*, claiming that the book is impeding him. I could be wrong but Bragg sets off the same alarms in my mind that made me think Trump was a crook, a liar and a blowhard in the 80s when I first heard about him. Bragg just oozes smug corruption.
Interesting take. Remember Cy Vance (and every NYer) knew trump was corrupt for decades and did nothing until he was getting ready to leave office and then threw it like a grenade to Bragg. I don’t have a good impression of Bragg but him passing is no different from Vance passing.
According to a person who is close to the source, they only wanted to have a glance through to make sure he doesn’t say anything that would harm an ongoing investigation.
Meanwhile the war on drugs denies medical care, no way to clean up a medical record and no pain relief for people like me. No day in court, no help investigating the mess and finally after reporting descrepencies in my record to investigators general I will never know the results and I continue to suffer. When will he war on drugs be reviewed? I’m still screaming for help.
yeah because it is going so well also - what an absolutely ridiculous premise - as well as war on crime - that people actually thought it was a good idea is so pathetic . I am someone who really does not see racism in everything but really what other choice is there - it makes no sense
Although my appreciation for you both as a tribute to the legal profession is most definitely felt, it is relatively clear that those in the legal profession using the moral imperative of the rule of law are frequently losing out to others in the same profession who see it as gamesmanship only. Prosecutors of Trump-like thug bosses are throwing a party that a rather large percentage of the American populace will unlikely attend. Many lawyers in Trumps world take great pride in having cleverly gamed a system to win a case. The fact that Al Capone could get away so very long with his shenanigans is depressingly regrettable, but an ex-American President is, for a democracy, apocalyptic and I dare say a possible game changing event that no morally driven prosecutor may survive.
Word of the Week: "dibby-dab". I will now spend the rest of my life waiting for an opportunity to use this locution. I may or may not give attribution (depends on circs).
Paying back the bank after committing bank fraud does not clear the acts of fraud committed, nor dissolve culpability of numerous other criminal acts that were perpetrated in the obstructions of the investigation. Judicial and witness intimidations are reprehensible.
Pameranz did a brave thing and put his career very much on the line . Balls to the Wall. I suspect you guys would not have done the same and you are berating him spouting his story, while you are safely in the bleachers. You sound like how Garland talks to himself….the old way, that doesn’t have enough Chutzpah to go after a criminal of this caliber. Take off your debutant ball dress, and go look what’s happening in the kitchen! Oh, and stop playing politics with Bragg, ie smoozing him🥰. In interviews, even Pomerantz is softening his criticism of Bragg. POWER AT WORK.
Instead of all the speculation, innuendo and behind-the-back accusations, would have been a better discussion if Pomerantz had been included and directly confronted. You just gave him free publicity for a book your trashing.
they would have to be able to get him to want to do that - and why would he ? they are not going to attract enough eyeballs to make it worth his interest .
I thought it was strange that he put this book out and he still wants him indicted. To me that makes no sense. to me. I have never worked or have any knowledge of anything legal.
It's harder to follow a point when the one laying it out, is interrupted. It's nearly impossible to hear two people coherently at the same time. The way the mics/system pick it up is -- one at a time -- with a delay to make comprehension even harder.
I don't know why it is so interesting to listen to these two basically talking shop, but it is. Kinda reminds me of when my girlfriend, who was a neuroscience professor, got together with her colleagues and talked shop while out for drinks or dinner. I'm an animator and I found it interesting to hear these people talk about academia. That doesn't work with a lot of vocations, it would probably be very boring to listen to accountants talking shop.
