And upsetting liberals/progressive/“woke” people. that is a big part of the steady diet they need. it is not about any given issue per se. It is just about upsetting liberals. Any given issue at hand, for example, putting back up statues of confederate “heros," is not because they care that much about any particular confederate soldiers. it's not really the issue itself that matters to them. what excites them so much at their gut level is the mere SUGGESTION of doing something that sane people like us find offensive. that alone makes it a winner for them. That’s why they cheer him on when he says he’ll put those statues back up. They perceive that as being offensive to us (rightfully so, because it's vile racism) so that’s all they need in order to love it. You cannot wrap your mind around how childish and obnoxious these people are.
One thing that is also going under the radar or that he’s appealing to many who don’t care about the system at all and just want to see an entertainer regardless, as to whether he’s a clown. Every time that Democrats say "disinformation", they NEVER follow it up with stating exactly what was incorrect OR stating what they believe is correct!? Why is that? Is everything, heard or spoken, a lie in their reality? Weird.
l have admired James Carville's candor for over 20 yrs; he never disappoints and speaks to my politics on all levels. He is telling the truth...period. Vote blue, vote for the truth, our democracy, our way of life, and most of all, decency.

He seems like the kind of guy I'd have a beer with. Am watching this election from the UK, and am worried about four things: 1) I'm not seeing much coverage of Harris's or Walz's interviews where they're reinforcing their economic message and what they're going to deliver for the American people, and above all, demonstrating why it's better than Trump's proposition. That also applies to crime, the border, gun safety, women's healthcare and fentanyl. This needs to be more visible, and needs to dominate the news cycle. 2) They don't seem to be getting out in front of the disinformation the Trump campaign is spreading aggressively enough and holding his foot to the fire. I think Harris is demonstrating that she's able to govern and respond to crises, and more than hold her own on the world stage. However, they need to shut down the disinfo, and repeat 'We're not going back' or 'They're just weird" until they're blue in the face. And this needs to happen up and down the ballot. A victory in the presidential race won't be too much use without control of the house and the Senate (and the latter doesn't look promising at this point) 3) Many swing state voters (particularly in Michigan) and young voters (who need to turn out in very high numbers) are very upset about the admin's position re the Middle East. What is she going to do to stop the US (and incidentally, the UK and other NATO allies) into a war with Iran, so she can focus more on issues at home? 4) Obviously there are issues with the Supreme Court and efforts to steal the election / refuse to certify it. What's happening there to get out in front of that? Perhaps I'm being ignorant about these things - but if someone can educate me, I'd be more than happy to take the learnings.
I live in NC and Virgina Foxx represents my district. She sent out a flyer of her big accomplishment, it was a bill banning trans women from playing on sports team! Like this is the top concern of NC residents! They are crazy

I LOVE that Harris isn't throwing Biden under the bus. She's where she is right now because of him and his wise choices. No shade on her and her hard work and intellect, but I have a lot of respect for someone who does not step on those who have supported and mentored them. Her policy platform is speaking for itself.

I was lucky enough to stumble on the Bulwark only a couple of episodes after their debut, and I've been a huge fan ever since. One of the under-sung things that I really appreciate about them is the healthy masculinity that's always on display. It is SUCH a notable difference compared to the what comes out of MAGAstan, and so much more like the men that I have in my own life. We don't celebrate healthy, functional men enough, and I just want to say thank you to the Bulwark for being a consistent reminder that positive change is STILL HAPPENING, even if it doesn't feel like it all the time. They don't want to put their butts on the line against Trump, because they all have extended families that hope to have careers in politics. They need Democrats to take care of Trump for them, but aren't willing to make any sacrifices themselves. Same problem as with certain high-ranking ex-members of Trump's administration, who SHOULD be endorsing Harris: They have seats on corporate boards and/or are working for hedge funds, and don't want to put their incomes at risk by making any waves.
I think this business of betting on our elections is really harmful. And dangerous. Corporate media turning what should be a serious and thoughtful process into a horse race, a game.

Tim, please - encourage your audience to DO MORE THAN VOTE. I love the Bulwark - never miss a podcast. But let's face it, it's really just entertainment and analysis for uber-informed anti-Trump voters who are already voting for Harris. It's changing no minds and influencing very little. Please consider starting and ending every podcast by asking your audience to 1) GIVE MONEY TO HARRIS, 2) tell others to give money to Harris, and 3) volunteer (which is easier said than done). Donating money to Harris is the easiest thing most of us can do in addition to voting. Use your platform to push people to do so! This is the first time I heard you mention doing more, but it should be a central theme of your podcast. Keep up the good work!

I know they say don't meet your heroes, but I would do anything to meet James Carville and have a conversation with him. He's been the political personality I trust most since I first became aware of politics. I have a bachelors degree in political science largely because of James Carville firing me up at a young age.
