Kisin is NOT disinterested. His lineage holds the same anti-Russian grudges as Nuland, Blinken and Vindmann. Russia has NOT lost half a million men. UKRAINE has. Trump is not a war-monger, nor is he a fan of NATO. Plus, Putin knows that Trump doesn't HATE him. Thus, there is a chance of peace short of Russia rolling all the way to the western border.

I recently learned that Eisenhower in his speech, the one where he famously used the term "military industrial complex" had *originally* called it the *Congressional* military industrial complex, but, was discouraged from using "Congressional," for obvious reasons, and agreed to drop it. I've always assumed, for instance, that when Colin Powell testified before Congress, before we started the war in Iraq, that Congress was played for the fool - because Colin Powell plainly lied to them. It never occurred to me until recently that Congress might have been complicit in the lie in order to encourage support for the war. From what I've seen of Congress, both the Republicans and the Democrats, being almost rabidly in favor of a war with Russia in Ukraine the *Congressional* military industrial complex is alive and well and clearly visible to see.

Very true. He acts like only the West wants to negotiate. The truth is Boris Johnson obstructed a peace deal in Turkey in March 2022. The Chinese had a similar peace proposal dealing with the realities of Eastern Ukraine. The Global South and most of the planet have rightly complained that there are no genuine peace initiatives coming from the West. The deindustrialized weakened West has been very slow to come to realizations that printed money, rheoric, bravery, and wonder weapons by themselves have never won wars. Logistics usually do win them, and they do favor Russia. Losing this war of attrition 😮is the reason he is changing his inconsistent stance. The West has lost numerous Neocon wars from Vietnam to Afghanistan after dumping tons of money absorbed into the corrupt military industrial complex Eisenhower warned about back in 1961. This war has never been about Ukraine. It has been about weakening Russia and enhancing the racket of profits for Lockheed Martin and Blackrock. The West is underestimating those Russians again as well. Hyper sonic missile technology, the world's biggest nuclear arsenal, vast resources, and a close relationship with a manufacturing power house with China and the Global South. What could go wrong? Is Russia really isolated or the West? The West has more to lose on this hill to die on with Ukraine. Ironically, it the West increasingly getting isolated over weaponizing the dollar as 40 countries want to join BRICKS. Fun times ahead.

It also knows that the aim of Russia is to eliminate Ukraine and its spirit to live independently. Then in the "big war" the Russian school children are being prepared for, send the conquered Ukrainians into heatwave attacks to complete the expansion. Broadcast with Kremlin approval on Russian Media @JuliaDavisNews : "Appearing on Russian state TV, Apti Alaudinov tells Vladimir Solovyov that the invasion of Ukraine is just the beginning. He says that even after the conclusion of this so-called "operation," Russia will keep fighting until it ends up on top of the world". The day before Russia attacked on 22 Feb 2022 Zelensky vowed to join NATO & to get nukes. @dnotleythere
@dnotleythere 2 месяца назад
@barrythompson5680 Absolutely, as a veteran from another failed Globalist Neocon war, I can say wars have never been won by just wonder weapons, rhetoric, or large amounts of money by themselves. There is a popular public delusion in the West that just spending money fixes wars. I do not know why. Money can not create new man power, trained troops, or mass equipment that needs to be produced or does not exist yet. Globalist Neocon wars are truly great in propaganda. You can not ask how the money is spent. Otherwise, you are not supporting the cause. Never mind the realities you see of weapons ending up in the Black Market or the enemy reverse engineering your weapons learning to fight you better in a grinding war of attrition. Neocon Globalists elites that lead us know best. They have such a good track record in fighting proxy wars for the West. They are great at ignoring the practical logistics in war, such as trained troops, efficient use of resources or money, motivated incorruptible parties, sensible tactics, practical instead of expensive weapons for battle, and mass ammunition production when needed. All of these things are missing in Western proxy wars. They always end in disaster from Vietnam to Afghanistan with no accountability. But Blackrock, Halliburton, and Lockheed Martin are happy with the money. This is what is truly important in all these conflicts the West engages in and why NATO expands. That is also why so many veterans, like me, are critics of this nonsense. Eisenhower was right. The West has not decisively won a war since World War 2 and the peace after it since the Marshall Plan. You would think they would be interested in the money being well spent before making generalizations about the West spending yet more money in war. It is a deindustrialized West now that has to preserve what it has. We also have to fix our corrupt, inefficient military industrial complex before conducting yet more wars.

Well most, if not all people living in Crimea were happy with the status quo because they received the pension from Russia. This was a proxy war for the US and Europe in an obvious attempt to unsettle Russia.

are we caring if ukraine gets a good deal or not? whats it matter? and unless you are able to find a whole lot more support somewhere you might want to come to terms with the fact that ukraine is not going to get the support that it needs and the longer it takes to figure that out the worse things will get. where do you see this conflict in another 6 months? or a year? or 2? you really think ukraine is going to get the upper hand by then?

Fun fact: The idea that HIMARS and the stuff we’re giving them is outdated is false. The US does NOT currently have any newer MLRS systems. We simply don’t. The reality is, we have no capability to offer to the Ukrainians that we aren’t already offering (except for limiting our targeting of HIMARS inside Russia and for good reason, since our personnel are directly responsible for targeting, not Ukrainians). It’s a myth that we have anything much more we can offer them that would change the calculus without our direct involvement through deployment of much more specialist troops (e.g. to operate more Patriot systems). Ukraine has hit a brick wall due to a shortage of personnel at this point. That is their chief problem. Not “lack of modern kit.” That’s not to say Trump couldn’t make a deal, but that’s because both sides seems to be open to the idea and are looking for a politically viable off-ramp, not because of any viable threats.

No, the West is giving Ukraine not enough weapons, and they are giving everything much to slow. F.e. they have given less then 100 modern battle tanks (Leopard 2, M1 Abrams, Challenger 2), but they should give at least 500 (which they can do easily: 200 Leopard 2, 150 M1 Abrams, 60 LeClerc, 50 Ariete and 40 Challenger 2). Still Ukraine has no western fighter jets (some F-16's from the Netherlands and Denmark are coming soon), but they should give at least 200 (which they can do easily: f.e. 80 F-16's, 60 Tornado's, 50 Mirage 2000's. Mostly older and stored planes, but very usefull for Ukraine). And so on. Only with enough weapons Ukraine can drive the Russians back, and force them to the negotation table in a serious way.

@@marcelbuurman201 The fact you think Ukraine has the ability to staff these shows you should watch less Hollywood movies about war. Read Syrskiy’s and Zaluzhniy’s articles. Ukraine’s problems have nothing to do with a lack of weapons and everything to do with personnel shortage.
@marcelbuurman201
@marcelbuurman201 2 месяца назад
@@russ_6214 Absolute nonsense to say that. Yes, Ukraine has a problem with personell. But the bigger problem is the fact they are getting not enough weapons, and not the right weapons. Most, if not all, military experts agree this is a major problem for Ukraine. Of course they could handle these weapons, as they have done with the weapons they did receive. About the fighter jets; it will take time to train the pilots (as is being done with the F16's). All the more reason to start immediately. The only way to peace is making it possible for the Ukrainian army to push the Russians back. They did it in the summer of 2022, nobody had expected they could (with for instance hardly any air support!), and they recaptured a big piece of the occupied territory. After winter 2022-2023 the Russians had the possiblity to make a strong defence line. So the element of surprise was gone, Russia reinforced and gained with enormous losses just a little bit of terrain. But Ukraine has the spirit to strike the Russians back again, if they only get the means to do it.

I completely agree. Both Zelensky and Putin need to come to the negotiation table. If Zelensky is unwilling we can withhold arms. It is more difficult to make Putin come, I would guess. We need to be willing to ramp up the military support to Ukraine significantly so that the price of continuing the war becomes to high for Putin. Perhaps then a compromise can be reached that would be painful to both sides.

I would like to make the following points regarding the repeated suggestions that there should be a negotiated settlement: If a person puts a gun against my head and tells me to give them my wallet or they will kill me, that does not mean they acquire legal rights to my wallet or the contents therein. The same applies to any negotiations between Ukraine and Russia where Ukraine is forced by threats against the lives of Ukrainian citizens to cede territory. I think that Ukrainian allies must make it perfectly clear to Putin that they will not recognise any treaty signed by Ukraine under duress. In addition, they must make it abundantly clear that all sanctions currently in force will remain in force until all Russian forces leave Ukrainian territory as defined by the United Nations and recognised international borders prior to 2014. And: The Russians must make full restitution for all of the damage caused by their illegal war including fully compensating the families of killed and wounded victims of the war.

Do you mean that it is ok when we do it or what? First of all, Luhansk and Donetsk declared independence from Ukraine. That is totally fine according to UN charter. I do see some problems as I see problems with the illegal bombings of Serbia, the illegal bombing of Libya or the illegal occupation of parts of Syria. I could probably go on and on on this but this is what comes to mind. Yous see, I dont think we in the west has a standing on this. There was a UN resolution in the Libya case but that was regarding a no fly zone and not bombing the country into a failed state. I see that USA and NATO has its "Rules based international order" Why wouldn´t Russia have something similar?

Ukraine lost its sovereinty status when its legitimate goverment was overthrowen by a cxx backed military coup in 2014. the bombing of east Ukraine then intensified prompting desire for independance in some eastern parts of the country. Of course the new Kiev dictatorship didnt recognise this. The first wave of Russian vehicles ( you know ,the ones that got stuck in the mud ), were humanertarian aid but the west of course announced it as an invasion as if Russia wasnt capable of something better than that. Putin does not need to invade a country to add to his domestic problems. But the west wanted a war and now they have got one. PS.- Ever wondered why Serbia are pro Russian?
