The closest I have been to a judge is watching Law & Order, Judge Judy, and The People's Court, and I can't imagine anyone even on those TV shows getting by with talking to the judge like that.

Very true. While I like Seth and the show, he's feeding into what made Trump a big player in the first place. I can hardly remember "A closer look" that wasn't about Trump. It's infuriating that Trump gets so much attention and also very repetitive in terms of jokes. The news channels also should stop reporting every detail for hours and hours. This is the real reason Trump is attending all the hearings and sessions in person, though he doesn't have to. It's keeping him in the news constantly.

It's odd to me how many people think that works. It's never worked. Seth and his team are responsible for creating jokes and finding humor in the absurd landscape that is our lives. The truth of the matter is Trump and the entire MAGA hoard are absurd, and we need to acknowledge that and dismantle it without fear. And how they go about that is a fair criticism that deserves attention and adjustment. But we are not where we were in 2016. The shock regarding Trump's behavior has been replaced with disgust and contempt. Btw, I believe the last time A Closer Look wasn't about Trump it was likely about the GOP-controlled House, DeSantis, Greene, Boebert, Lindell or Giuliani. So just as absurd, but fairly easy to remember. I'm not sure why you can't recall.
