The planet does you fool and he covered up NIAID participation in funding certain types of research. that knowledge could have helped saved people all over the world. now that's a bit of an extension, but he was looked at as a leader for health policy worldwide. And his policies were bad@@brockreynolds870
Fauci and Walensky should both be in a tiny cell for a long time. Her receiving that award is the perfect example of how twisted bureaucracy is. Rewarding someone who should actually be criminally prosecuted. Disgusting
Thank you Dr. Prasad. Early in the pandemic I defended Dr. Fauci because he gave the commencement speech at my medical school graduation and I trusted that he was doing what was best. I have had to go back and apologize to friends and family and admit that I supported corrupt policies. And it’s clearly corrupt rather than “we didn’t know yet.” Thank you for shining a light on this.
@jacksonian, be careful about who you choose to "defend". If you had been paying attention, you would know that Dr. Fauci's entire career was based on his political support of the primary proponent of the HIV/AIDS theory. This man has destroyed thousand of careers during his 45 year tenure as the Emperor of all CDC grant awards. This man is a purely political animal. He has utter contempt for the Hippocratic Oath. And, he funds the torture of beagles for fun and profit. He has no virtue whatsoever. Fauci was a lightning rod for criticism of Pharma capture of the regulatory agencies involved in healthcare since the early 1980's. He was both the man behind the curtain, and the spokesman for this whole regulatory capture swindle. He is NOT a man of character, integrity, or virtue. He is a Technocrat who has parlayed his position of power into a personal fortune that is vast. He is a poster boy for corruption. Thank you for having the integrity to reach out to those you had previously shared a misinformed view with. This is what thousands of professionals should be doing. Errors denied cannot be corrected.
I'm a doctor, and I've lost trust in the sysem. People went to ERs with vaccine injuries and were gaslighted because to acknowledge any issue was career ending. As professionals, our livelihoods need to be independent from profit based or political interference to prioritize patient care. When even doctors fear loss of jobs for political or profit eroding reasons, things will only get worse from here. Let's start with appropriate pay that has been eroded since the 1980s. This is a professional white collar position due to responsibilities and ongoing knowledge base and not a public servant job like I used to think.
Liberal journalists/subscribers join a what they believe is a liberal publication and then get upset when they don’t publicly endorse the liberal candidate. Shocking and who cares
Bravo for calling out Fauci and Walensky and for not being afraid to admit that RFK Jr is correct about a lot of things even though you disagree with him on some things.
I am hoping the Fauchi crowd is held accountable for their crimes in about 2 weeks. I would enjoy seeing an RFK headed tribunal putting the former propaganda heads on trial and exposing the harm they caused under the Biden regime.
I think he also wants to get away from giving babies and children 5 jillion jabs, which I can imagine is one of the reasons some people are trying to say he's "anti vax". One of the guys from MERCK was asked why give a baby a Hep B vaxx and he said "because we can." We should demand new RCT's run by someone besides Big pharma and Ivy league jackarses.
I keep reminding myself that the only benefit that came from the lockdown was how we got a front seat to see the corruption & disgusting indoctrination going on in schools. My daughter is now homeschooled through a fantastic program. It feels like everything since 2020 was played out from a script.. until today. Some of us were awake.. sadly some still aren’t. It’s still playing, hopefully more wake up.
When I first saw Dr. Walensky on cable news, I knew she was cluless. She was having great difficulty reading the darn teleprompter. And you always got the impression that she had no idea what she was talking about.
Vinay … you are THE BEST! thank you for your commitment to this cause. You were one of the few who kept me sane through the madness of 2020/21… I thought i was losing my mind. And I am a scientist by background! It was all so fake, twisted and maniac, it was like living in a dystopia. Even more so, i am shocked at how little covid was discussed in the current presidential race, it’s a crucial issue that none of the candidates wants to address; the Biden administration was a disaster!! Disaster!!! And Fauci should be in jail
Yes a very good.point. Republicans once again fail to appropriately follow up on an enormously important issue. They should be hammering Harris , Biden, Fauci, Whitmer, Newsom and every other Democrat shyster guilty of covid lies. Not just Rand Paul like a falling tree in a forest. And IF Trump gets elected (in doubt due to Democrat cheating), his administration should aggressively pursue Fauci et al.
The last nurse practitioner I saw at the clinic was wearing a spaghetti strap peacock dress. And she was huge, shaming me for for not taking my health into consideration because I didn't get the magical poke. It took so much for me to even want to see a Doc, and I haven't been back or done the blood test check ups prescribed that day.
Bravo doctor for telling the truth. Unfortunately many of your fellow physicians stopped practicing medicine long ago and have become political zealots.
Thank you, Dr. Prasad! I work in a large hospital corporation in Radiology, and I see so much fraud that I do not care if I get fired. The "Research" we do at UofA is shameful!
I’m in the Newark airport as I type this, coming home from a trip to India and Nepal, and the CDC is literally testing people off international flights for COVID. How useless. How embarrassing. If they really want to test for something, perhaps there are more important infectious diseases that could be entering the US from various locations, but COVID is not one of them.
@@sassysandie2865 It was random, so thankfully no. It was a woman in front of me. I would have asked if it were mandatory. But frankly, “they” are still bullies, and it is easier to go along with a nasal swab then somehow have problems when you’re entering the country (or just trying to live your life). This sort of inane, unscientific bullying (and people trying to stop it) must be playing a factor in presidential politics for RATIONAL people, no matter the side of the isle they’re on.
I have followed you long before COVID. You never disappoint me in your sound logical thinking and knowledge. A voice of common sense in the medical world. Thank you.
the damage to public health confidence is entirely self inflicted, and they cant even admit their mistakes, so they have learned nothing. not only that, at this point they are actively asking people to deny their own memories, experiences, and the evidence provided by their own eyes
Whether Walensky did a good job or not depends on what her job actually was. If her job was to manage a public health crisis in a logical, meaningful and effective way than she failed on an epic level. If her job was to push policies and messaging that drove high vaccination rates in an effort to maximize pharma profits then she absolutely deserves the Dr Fauci award for excellence in unethical medicine...
No one trust anything that is attached to the gov period. Why everyone thinks this one person will be our savior for four years is baffling. It's only ever gotten worse for the general public. Don't forget to get your booster, they care so much about you 😂
Blaming RFK, Rogan and Weinstein for reducing trust in public health is like blaming sports show hosts for reducing trust in game officials when they talk about blown calls. It's not the fault of the people pointing out the mistakes (acknowledging that they'll sometimes be wrong, too), the officials need to be better because that's their raison d'etre.
It has always bothered me that a newspaper would endorse a candidate even if I agree with the endorsement. I was a Democrat for years and my Gannett-owned local newspaper always has supported the Democrats candidate. Just give me the facts and I will make my own decision. Just tell me facts like Biden met with the head of Ukraine and authorized the sale of weapons to Ukraine. Let me decide if that is someone I want to support or not.
A media entity ('medium'>middle) that derives it's protections from the First Amendments recognition of the Press, should NOT be anything BUT 'middle'. The 1A doesn't recognize that protection for the interest of the press, but THE PEOPLE, of course - it is the Constitution after all. The interest of the individual, corporeal living being. If it can be demonstrated that a media entity strays outside that guideline, however difficult a 'slippery slope' it may be to navigate, then their 1A Press protections should be challenged. In the end it is about the People, not the press.
Let me get this straight... Nobel winners for economics... endorse a person who had participated and actively supports policies that have and are destroying the American economy. To the point where, over the last four years thousands of stores have been closing. Since 2020 most of your academic peers are insane. Probably before that.
Thank you! I continue to dress up for clinic and have been known to where a heavily starched clean lab coat as well. I was taught that it is a sign of respect for my patients indicating I am willing to dress up for them and convey a superlative effort to treat them. That said I espoused common sense approach to the treatment of my family medicine patients in 2020 and continue to do so now. Thank you for your robust and sustained challenge to the COVID debacle!
it's pretty clear why they don't want to endorse....they don't want to end up targeted / losing money if Trump wins....it certainly isn't about their non-partisan principles.
I totally agree with you. The hubris of official endorsements in general is quite hard to stomach. If anything, if I'm voting Republican, and some newspaper tells me that I should vote Republican, I'm now significantly more likely to vote Democrat. Don't tell me what to do, ya pricks.
I'd never depend on a newspaper to tell me how to vote, but I do think it's iconic that they have endorsed a Dem for , I think it's the last 4 or 5 presidents before this and now that Trump is running away with it in the polls, they don't want to talk about it. 😁 I think you should talk to RFK Jr on the phone. I don't always agree with him either but at least he has the receipts as to why he came to that conclusion, unlike some people we know. Love you XOXO
Agreed about the APA. In addition to their partisanship, as a psychiatrist you are REQUIRED to give the APA money in order to participate in board certification renewals (if you want to do the easier path with article review, as opposed to the q10 year massive exam). There are no other options for membership as a psychiatrist in this camp.
Frequent listener of this channel here, which I find very informative and insightful. On this political issue of the endorsements by the two journals, I believe, however, that Dr. Prasad makes a mistake. He is right, of course, that these endorsements have never played a direct electoral role. But they played a significant role in other ways, essentially making explicit what Dr. Prasad refers to as the obvious political leaning of these journals The journals as institutions took a political position. The non-endorsement now sends a powerful message. First, that owners, with their obvious corporate interests, limit the editorial freedom on which the political role of these journals is based. Second, it sends the message to the left-leaning readership that positioning an institution on the Left is risky, a risk these corporate owners do not want to sustain. This is consistent with the paranoia on the Left that the open society itself is at risk, paradoxically a message quite contrary to what might have been intended. And, more globally, this is a move toward de-politization, which is the ground on which authoritarian regimes are built.
Day 1 someone said those who are elderly and have pre-existing conditions are those at risk of serious complications, I forget the phrase exactly, was probably the most honest thing ever said during those years. Why would you vaccinate children whose complications are extremely minor.
Vinay: 1- RFK doesn’t oppose child vaccines overall, he is calling for restoring Manufacturers Liability and Trials for these, doesn’t he? Why don’t you invite him. 2- The « Covidians » are NOT « Left »: they generally oppose Universal Healthcare, Free College, etc… they are Corporatists ridden with conflicts of interests & corporate capture of the Regulatory.
The Nobel Peace prize has lost all credibility. The Nobel prize in economics might as well follow, and there have been tinges of partisanship in the other prizes more recently in the past. Supporting a presidential candidate who touts price controls, tarrifs, and government expenditure as sound economic policy says you're at best a political hack or a fool with at least one good idea.
I had a family member die of a massive heart attack this summer. Well boosted. He had some heart problems, but nothing that would suggest a life-ending heart attack while he was out driving. He had been a doctor two weeks previously and was told everything was good. Two cases of cancer and the heart attack in a family of 4 since Covid. All 3 were vaccinated and boosted. The 4th was not. Coincidence?
5 people in my life died suddenly of unexpected heart attacks (one was an aortic rupture) during the 1st 2 yrs of shots (all in 50's and early 60's), plus my cousin's infant grandson died of myocarditis, and 2 close friends developed immune problems: 35 y/o got Crohns and 14 y/o Type 1 diabetes. Oh you just reminded me another this past summer. He was 80 so not so surprising, but no preexisting heart problem, fatal heart attack while driving.
ironically, given their positions and stances it makes perfect sense for walensky to get this award. it is also meant to give her an extra layer of protection from her bad judgement.
Not endorsing a candidate creates more buzz than endorsing hence it’s a better strat to get wider discussion and more media. It’s a Streisand effect political tactic.
Dressing up for clinic. The best thing about Covid is that they allowed me to start wearing scrubs to clinic. I’m a doctor and they want me to wear pajamas to work! I never looked back.
Because they want us as public servants rather than as executive professionals making critical decisions with our extensive knowledge, and we shouldn't want to interfere with medical policy and profit. Act how we want to be perceived and dress appropriately. Let's take back control to prevent this nonsense next time!
I disagree with you that publishing a recommendation of who to vote for changes anyone’s mind, any information someone consumes has a possibility of changing someone’s mind. Which is exactly why they’ve done it all these years! Everything else you are 100% right on the money on. Trust is completely lost until we have acknowledgement and consequences for their injustices.
I agree with what you say regarding the presidential election but I rely on the Post here in DC for more depth on city council members who I often know virtually nothing about
If kh 'wins', imagine the mandates and control pushed on us Americans. If you want freedom from the gov making you take poi$ons you don't want, better food, and less idi0t$ controlling your life, better think about who you vote for. DJT 2024 for your lives and freedoms
I wish our media was truly unbiased but we have learned not only are they biased but they are partisan as well. Not endorsing in a truly unbiased environment would be correct, but since reality is they are heavily biased, I think its good they continue to show their bias with their endorsements.
Not only did they lose trust in those things, for me, they've also lost it because they have absolutely zero knowledge of nutrition and rush to medications before food.
I agree about the endorsements. A news agency should not make any endorsements. I expect the media to be objective. That’s different from an editorial on one side of an issue. But the agency itself needs to stay neutral.
Good common sense thank you. Walensky is indifferent. They’re all indifferent and they don’t care about you, me or anybody but themselves that’s what this proves in my opinion.
