I mean most nation can't afford our goods due to our insanely high currency value, I don't know why Trump is doing this. It doesn't make us export more, just make imports more expensive.
It means buy American products and that brings work and manufacturing back to America, what’s so hard to understand about that. The majority of Chinese products are trash anyway, the little bit more you’re gonna pay for American products is worth it.
the so-called expert didn't mention the key word "inflation" as the direct result of tariffs. right now inflation is about 3% and your general public already cry like babies, imagine you import tariff reaching 100% how your consumer will react
I have lived in Thailand for 14 years and there is a 300% tax on imported cars not manufactured in Thailand. People live here just fine and there are too many cars on the road here.
Can be higher, will it benefit US citizens, yes Chinese export less to US but where to buy cheaper , look what US is importing from China? Buy from Made in Mexico ?
If Trump be elected as the next president again and he determines will execute his policy for increasing the tariffs for China made products . Trust a lot of Manufacturers in China will move or invest to elsewhere in Asia in order to maintain their business operation , especially for those which have been supplying their products for US market since . Unfortunately , the export business for China will be badly impacted if such policy will apply to every single products which are made in China.
