Danymok wind mills are soooo majestic to me. I feel at peace looking at them knowing we get clean energy from them. this is weird I guess but whenever I imagine what my dream house looks like I always picture a field of them in the background slowly spinning over sprawling green hills 🌬
I'm actually an electrician for wind turbines and LITERALLY NEVER SEEN ANY DEAD BIRD'S!! I'm on the fields from the beginning to end, with over 150 and more!
I have seen a few dead below a couple of wind turbines (in the philippines mind you)....that being said, I'm all for wind power..it's safer and less harmful to animals than shit like coal..birds die more with pollutants than turbines..
Can we just take a moment to realise that the thing he's calling a "windmill" is actually a "wind turbine"? A windmill was used to mill grain, while a wind turbine is used to generate electricity.
@cj p I live in Kansas. We have wind turbines everywhere. Lots of space, open air, literally no issue. You talk as if wind energy is going to supplant all other forms of renewable energy as the sole source of power. Frankly, as Hamidkhan says, you're an idiot.
@cj p The blade pitch is centrally controlled via computer. Literally no problem. As for maintenance, wind turbines have a maintenance shaft inside, and all generators etc. are in the housing on top. The blades themselves do not have to be maintained, only the electric motors that turn them. There are harness points on top. Also no problem. Servicing radio towers or cleaning skyscraper windows is much more dangerous.
it would be a good interview with Bill O'Reilly, who'd start by saying, _"the wind blows out, the wind blows in... you can't explain it, it just does,"_ and the challenging Trump to provide an explanation for this uncanny mystery that is the wind.
I appreciate your personal account. I think the Audubon society also has worth while info on this. Wind turbines are a must. Making them safe for migrating birds is also important. www.audubon.org/news/will-wind-turbines-ever-be-safe-birds
There are a few around where I live too. I like how they look. It feels like living in the future. Would choose it over smoke stacks from coal any day. (Geothermal and hydroelectric probably the best but location specific).
... having been part of a wind turbine project; that's not how any of that works. Good day sir. P.s. feral cats are more dangerous than wind turbines when it comes to birds.
@@Ren-db4hi He's saying that Trump is wrong about how wind power works. And some birds die due to windmills, but as Ryan said, feral cats kill more birds every year than windmills do. Also, WAY more birds are killed by oil spills every year than by windmills.
@@suddeysabdulbasat1963 If injured, than certainly. Bald eagles have flown into populated cities, where feral cats can be found. Though feral cats will kill an array of birds, while wind turbines only kill birds that try to go near it or nest in them. In my studies, the amount of birds turbines kill may kill up to 50k or so, but feral cats kill at a generous guess of over 1 billion birds. The stark difference there. Other things killing birds are higher, but feral cats take the cat, since they naturally hunt them.
@@Ren-db4hi Well to a degree. It does generate electricity through the blades spinning, than is stored and eventually distributed to the grid it's connected to. Most wind turbines do have a maximum speed and will shut off if the wind is too high or too low. This is a safety net as the battery can only take so much in. Wind turbines are a form of a generator, but also act as storage units, which is common for those especially on off shore due to distance and location. Off shore wind turbines also have had some plans to work with some form of hydroelectric generation, though their mostly in testing last time I checked awhile back, but that may change as those were being developed in Europe last time I recall.
@@Ren-db4hi This is true, but bird deaths related to wind turbines are actually low. Though do not use wind mills as they aren't turbines in the case of what Trump is saying they are. Wind mills found in rural areas on farms are rather small and were mainly used for grain production or very basic electrical generation. Turbines meanwhile are massive and have been prone to bird deaths, though most studies rank them on the lower side. They can kill up to around 50k+, while feral cats can average beyond 3 billion. Not only that, but his beef comes from years prior as stated in the video. This kind of beef over sea views occurred in Massachusetts for an off-shore wind power program which was set off cape cod (a lot of rich folk and heavy tourist location in the summer). The project had been on hold for years due to people saying it'd ruin the view, despite the fact that turbines would of been miles away from the shore line and leave a minimal impact on the view. Not only that, but most wind turbine parts actually have origins in Scandinavia, due to how many they've set up and Europe being one of the leaders in it's utilization. The project in Mass. came to a close due to the company hiring some Euro folk after years of being stalled and essentially breaking their contract. This is why the electric company were the first to back out, before the company on the project couldn't afford the space (mostly due to being stalled by the rich locals). The bird thing is just a nice way for the wealthy to cover up their desire to make everything pristine and clean (in their eyes).
@@ericl8743 if this was the 15th century probally no but this is the 21st century, the newer winmilles are for energy, the older classic once are mostly for tourists attraction, and sometimes pumping out small water i think, not sure bout the water part
When I first came to Europe, I saw the windmills for the first time. Quite a lovely change of scenery compared to all the smoggy oil power plants from where I live. Them windmills still amuse me to this very day.
@@ezras8889 Are you talking about nuclear Power Plants? Then you are damn right. Except if you also count in the storage of nuclear waste, then we are talking about an enormous economic disaster. In Germany, 40% of the total electric consumption comes from renewable sources, and the biggest part of it comes from wind turbines. They work and they are cost efficient. www.energy-charts.de/power.htm?source=all-sources&year=2019&week=11
@cj p kinda hard nor to belive it when the dotard is siding with putin over his own country , admiring Kimmy and antagonizing our oldest military and trade allies. :v
Exactly WHY he hates it! That vain little POS probably bursts blood vessels on his forehead every time that clip of the wind exposing the back of his bald empty head while boarding Air Force One is played.
Windmill: " Lacks of huge blades and his rotor is not working anymore. It probably needs maintenance because he must have raccoons living inside his generator. "
This pun is genius on all levels. Windmills are kind of like giant fans, except they rely on the forces of wind. Fan would also mean liking a franchise or celebrity.
@partywrestler I think it should be mandatory service for all citzens in the US. I have some valid reasons but I understand the opposition point on that issue as well.
Dear God I feel like now more than ever he is literally dumbing down people... "Darling I want to watch TV, sorry the wind isn't blowing." Sweet Jesus, did he pass middle school?
Would be so funny if he’d claimed he was smarter then a 5th grader I guarantee you every 10 11 year old would’ve challenged his orange ass in every subject😏🤨.
In Germany 17.5 % of electric energy is generated by wind. The Average Blackout Time in Germany is 16 Minutes per Year and in the US it is 4 Hours per Year.
16 minutes of blackout per year? In Germany? I am living there. I have not seen a blackout for at least 10 years. Not a single one. Neither in Southerm Germany nor in Northern Germany. So where do you take these numbers from?
@@christiangeiselmann Probably 16 minutes in total of individual districts of cities or entire small towns going dark. My village went dark for about an hour a few weeks back when we had strong storm winds, apart from that, nothing that affected more than our home probably in the last 10 years or so.
😂😂😂My ten year old just said "what wind energy doesn't work like that." Trump said "I know a lot about wind." My baby said "obviously you don't."😂😂😂 Sad😢
This is one of those moments where, if this were fiction, we would say: "Okay, that weird 'windmill' thing is such an obvious reference to Don Quixote, right down to the name 'Don'. Don't you think it's a bit too ham-fisted? I mean, try a bit of subtlety. This 'Trump' villain character is just too simple and over-the-top. I think this story would be more interesting with a more intelligent, complex, and realistic antagonist."
I'm watching from a Sh*** country and believe the American president is who we watch for entertainment. ..so sad the world has totally lost respect for the great USA oooh sorry former *previously known as) great ..si saaaad😔
He was testing the waters since he began his campaign. The more stupid and outlandish the lies are, the more applause he gets. Why change that, if it's working ?
It's almost as if he enjoys having people talk shit about him constantly. Either it's an act or he doesn't have the mental capacity to process the reality of these situations.
Not really. I have an open mind but I'm intelligent enough to know he's worse than a buffoon, and his lemmings are under-educated racists like him. He doesn't know how to spell.
Well Mam howdy to you!. Guess Scotty could be listening & going hey, there still time before the whole shit hits the fan.. LOL! My bad.. @@memewalkerb5305
@@Alexeon They kinda were: read an article recently that said the mountains of horse manure, and the carcasses, made early 1900s NYC worse than living between a pre-EPA coal plant and a sewage treatment pond.
Sherry Sink he’s also worried about the birds, wind turbines kill hundreds of thousands of birds a year plus wind turbines are not that good as a energy source
@@lilmonke2190 if he really does care about the birds, maybe try to say global warming is real and address issues like combatting pollution. Birds still breathe air, am I right? If he cares about clean energy, then why is he so obsessed with coal? That's perhaps the dirtiest source of energy out there. Why didn't he go with geothermal or even nuclear, both proven to produce massive amounts of energy and still have cleaner emissions than coal?
Joshua Selfjr cars and tall buildings kill more birds every year... Irony that Trump owns both... Climate change is not a real thing for him which also kills birds, cell phone signal towers makes the most damage for birds so, now what?
Trevor said 'Origins' right at the beginning of this video instead of 'Oranges'... I'm guessing that either this was filmed before that debacle or that low hanging fruit is being saved for another segment 😂
WOW Am I in the Twilight Zone? This is the 21st century... I cannot hardly believe what I'm witnessing! Rational and Logical (critical) thinking are eroding before my very face. SMH Thank you Trevor, for trying to keep us sensible and most of all SANE!
For all his gripe against windmills, he is raising a BS argument about only ONE form of alternative clean energy. Nevermind that a TV and lighting, his worst complaints, uses a battery. Thinking they'll run on windmill alone is just ludicrous.
Spanky is still butthurt about losing the battle over windmills near his golf course in Scotland. Even if he was not paid off by the gas & coal industry (which you know he is), he would never support windmills because of that. He can't remember how to pronounce "origins" but he remembers the losing the court case conflict in Scotland.
I’m pretty sure if you drop a bomb into a coal mine (which tend to be filled with highly flammable coal dust) you’ll get a much bigger explosion than if you drop one on a windmill
When I worked at a coal power plant in Halltown, WV we had a major fire due to coal dust. There is NO such thing as clean coal!!! This orange dummy has never ever even been in a mine.
Uh...no! He already tried a golf resort in PR; a highway was built to schlep his guests. He bankrupted it. And Puerto Rican taxpayers are still paying for it.
There are 240 carbon atoms in 1 coal atom. 1 in natural gas. 0 in the atmosphere (wind). What does this mean? If complete combustion is achieved CO2 and H2O is the result. If incomplete combustion is achieved CO (Carbon Monoxide) and H2 (Hydrogen) is the result. CO2 is converted by plants back into oxygen. And H2O is water. CO deadly poisonous explosive gas. H2 the same. Again what does this mean? The more Carbon atoms in a fuel requires more oxygen atoms for complete combustion. The required amount of oxygen to achieve complete combustion of coal is 240 times that of natural gas. That means 240 times that of CO2 released, and in cases of incomplete combustion 240 times the CO. Wind requires no exothermic reaction, combustion, or fuel to create energy. In conclusion, Coal is not clean, natural gas cleaner, and wind cleanest.

They were laughing then at him... Windmills in Texas froze up and millions are without power during this polar vortex. This arctic weather we have this week ain't funny.
you point the tip in the genral direction of the wind getting more and more parallel to the wind as you close it so if the wind is strong and did break any of the ribs, it forces the thing closed so you can get inside
Yeah, that had me laughing so hard! He's like a little kid when he says those things. "I know a lot of words... The best words." Hey Trump, wanna cookie?
Ofcourse he is, I'm sure your son is very smart but honestly my dog is smarter than this orange man playing president on TV... oh wait he's really president? How the fuck did this happen?
What he means is coal that has been prepared to be used because when you get a bunch of it usually comes with other elements attached which could cause negative chemical reaction once you mix it with heat/fire/friction
notImpressed coal is still really inefficient compared to other sources of energy like hydroelectric or natural gas if you’re looking at energy output.
It's unclear when exactly America became this stupid. They cheer for a slob who is working on taking away their healthcare, eliminating regulations that protect them as employees and consumers and has already destroyed our standing in the international community. Trump is just a symptom. Science seems to be dead here. Diseases that were virtually extinct are making a comeback thanks to brain dead anti-vaxxers. Flat-earthers are now a real thing as opposed to just a joke. Few understand how the economy, taxes and politics work. It's full out Idiocracy
My family has some windmills on their farm I can testify that I've never seen nor heard a bird getting hit by a windmill beside from bird enthuses who don't understand windmills and green energy in general. But if a bird is dumb enough to fly into a windmill it's dumb enough to fly straight to your car while you're driving so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My best guess is that people were sick of normal politicians and their practices and with him doing whatever he wanted that wasn't normal for political leaders they liked, no matter how dumb it was, because it wasn't what most politicians would do. And to think this guy was president on the first election I could vote for and while I was a marine.

Am I seriously the only person alive who finds windmills aestheticly pleasing especially compared to other sources of energy?? Like idk bout you but a windmill farm in the distance located on a hill looks a lot better than let’s say a nuclear power plant or a coal power plant either spitting out enormous amounts of vapor or smoke
