Fun fact if you go to Mexico and live there they'll want you to speak Spanish crazy right the country you moved to want you to speak their language that's so crazy
Yes, Most people speak English in the United States, and so what? You shouldn’t shame people that can’t speak it or that are trying to learn it. THERE'S NO OFFICIAL LANGUAGE IN THE US AND GLORY TO THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA.
Here in Europe, speaking several languages is a sign of distinction, culture and intelligence. Almost everyone speaks at least two languages, the Spanish being of the main ones. The only country whose inhabitants are not able to learn more than one language is...United Kingdom.
I get both sides but to be quite honest, Trump is right. Imagine an American who only speaks English goes to France or Spain and only speaks English. Learn the language of the country you want to move to. My father moved to the UK from Morocco in 1968 and now has a perfect English accent you wouldn't even know he was is an immigrant when speaking to him over the phone. He spoke four languages Spanish being one of them. It's having respect, and people might say well America doesn't have an official language no it doesn't but it does have a National Language by de facto and that is English!!! us Brits are terrible with it as well we go to another country like Spain and Turkey and instead of learning a few phrases we speak louder as if they will comprehend us at different tones!!!
