Yep. You're 100% correct about very thing you've said about this kit! I built this kit before saw these videos. It took about a month of filing, filling, sanding, more filling, and more sanding plus a whole tube or filler. This kit was a bastard.

I had the same problem with the nose and the tail section being slightly off when I did a practice fit of the top and bottom hole and practice fit of putting on the tail section.. so what I did after gluing the top and bottom Hull together I hand sanded down the tail in section so that it would be completely even, and when I put on the tail section it was a perfect seamless fit..and did the same. WITH THE nose..BECAUSE there is a solid plastic wall that separates the top and bottom hull.from the nose and tail section after it has been glued together..leaving that uneven section to be hand sanded to make it a EVEN and armless fit for the tail and nose ...👍👍👍

And you Have excellent ideas and materials all you need to do is let us know where to collect those materials such as that aluminum foil that you said you had for years

wonder why they put bow planes on these boats , when sail- planes seemed to be popular , USN style ??
