I've put my brain cells to work and come up with some luxury fashion predictions for the year ahead, aka what's in fashion in 2024. I've thought about which luxury brands will be having their moment in 2024, which might be struggling along cough Gucci cough as well as trends that I think will rear their heads. Basically this is what I expect will be in fashion in 2024...ENJOY!

Cassie, this video takes a lot more work than juuuuust looking at the pretty pictures and "liking fashion". This is an education. Props to you girlfriend. You can tell than you don't do luxury as a result of being an influencer, but youre an influencer because you grew up on luxury and in this world with a keen eye too.

Im with you on Alaia!!! I’ve loved the brand for a long time and I still remember that part in Clueless when Cher gets mugged and tells her to get on the ground and she says “This is an Alaia!!” Nostalgia!

Jane Birkin personalized her bags as well as the iconic basket she carried around with her belongings overflowing the top. I think it's the feeling of being well loved and becoming a part of who you are is what we're after in this particular look.

I've never been a big Gucci girl but I was in a Gucci store a few days ago and fell in love with the Blondie Tote in small - white with silver hardware and liked it enough to buy it until they told me the price. $3850!! For a Gucci tote!!! If it was $2850 I would have to think about it.... But close to $4,000 USD for a Gucci tote? They've lost their minds with their pricing.

The Bottegga tote is $4900! Nice, but not that nice. It's crazy. I'll keep that money in my account, not theirs. I find it odd how so many of these influences push the same bags all of a sudden. Americans just hit 1 trillion dollars in of credit card debt. These folks are fanning the flames to grow their own wealth and part of the problem, in my opinion. This girl, I like though.

It's obvious NONE of the so called luxury brands are worth anywhere near the money they are asking - you are simply paying for the NAME - and to add insult to injury the QUALITY has dropped in some cases - plus REPLICA bags have become big business which means just about anyone can have one in their possession. But if you want to buy the REAL thing and you have money to burn the price makes no difference - it depends on what YOU value in life - just be careful about QUALITY issues before splashing the cash.

I love this! One thing I have been doing since 2022 is any bag with a twil/twilly, I add a pin charm to the ends where the twill sticks out! I wrap my twilly around the handles as tight as I can and then add pins that I have been collecting over the years. I always get compliments about it! Especially when I color coordinate the pins with the color of the bag. Only downside is having tiny holes in the end of the twilly, but it gives it so much character, especially if the bag is plain!

Happy New Year 🥳 I wonder if these fashion conglomerates (Kering & LVMH) will be scoping out contemporary designers to add to their fleet in the next year or two. It seems more likely to add a brand that markets to a lower price point than have luxury stagnate their prices in the foreseeable future

Seen all this new creative directors I am a bit frustrated to not see more female creative directors but also more French creatives directors. I mean a lot of popular luxury brands are French but very few creative directors are French other than the founders 😅. Even more frustrating when you can see so many small French designers being extremely talented but none of them getting into luxury creative directors seats

I agree with you on the following predictions: 1) I think Tiffany will be doing more collabs too.. but I think out of desperation to revive the brand. 2) Brands into sportswear in general. I think this is because the pandemic opened a lot of eyes up to health and I think people are finally catching on that they need to start taking care of themselves. Also along sports specifically around skiing and horse back riding vs one skateboard- skiers and equestrians have money (same with boaters). Generally speaking skateboard people do not. In rough economic times and recessions, the people with the money are the ones luxury brands want to target.. so it's going to be people who can afford to ski endlessly in the winter, own several horses, and take their yacht out for a night on the water. 3) Vintage. Skyrocketing prices plus declining quality means people are looking for the better deals to get the most out of their money.

I love bottega thru and thru so I’m excited for what they have in store this year. Over the last 3 years I’ve bought 2 bottega bags and 4 shoes and all my items have butterfly soft leathers and durable hardware. They deserve their flowers when it comes to cost + value

Maybe LVMH buys Chanel and puts Hedi Slimane as head designer...It is crazy enough to work. It would be a miracle of fashion we all need right now to unclog the stale and underwhelming fashion moment we are all in right now. I think it is very doable. LVMH has the money it takes, Hedi has talent ( and know how ) it takes...it would be amazing to see this 🤩

Oh my gosh Alessandro for Fendi could be so good. I bet he would do velvet baguettes with floral appliqués or pearls. I could see sorbet toned exotic peekaboos, 80s style faux furs, the monogram with a floral overlay, classical sculpture motif, maybe Fendi beauty. Fingers crossed that happens.

Cassie, you maybe correct about Gucci finding its feet but I suggest you delve more into their archives. Go back 25 years or more and you’ll see plenty of styles focusing their classic shapes in different types of leathers. Happy New Year!

Cassie I am so afraid of the Gucci platforms becoming a thing. Those looks like ankle breakers!!! In terms of vintage, yes! I used to not be huge on vintage but recently I have been. I have 2 vintage bottega bags and I no longer want a larger sized Jodie since adding them. With LV new denim, I would love to purchase something but the price point for everything LV recently has just been a bit odd😅. I’m sick of the huge price increases. Feels like they only do it to gain more exclusivity!

I love Dilara findikoglu, London has a lot of talent in these bubbling brands that are a bit drowned out I feel. its sad because a lot of them struggle and have to move on because its so hard to keep afloat with the outgoings. Stefan cooke is one of the ones I love, I went to one of their sample sales recently. they have a very British heritage brand feel but still very experimental and new and exciting. they did a collab with mulberry on some one off bags which I really love
