I've been a cat person all my life but dogs like Bailey make me want to adopt a dog someday. The pure joy she shows when you come through the door or pay her any attention at all is amazing. I'm equally as interested in her as I am in the garden 😂
I'd love to see more updates in the future! Seeing the plants go through winter will be interesting. I wonder if Tim's garden will be any different from yours in terms of how resilient the plants are. It's also great to see Tim be so comfortable in front of the cam. Love the dynamic between you two 👍🏼
The two of you together are so jolly. Not forgetting Bailey 😊. Love the tug of war with the ficus 😅. By the way, shout out to Tim. Hope he's on RU-vid as well. 🫣🤗
I love the lighting in Tim's house. Wish I could line my plants up in a long hallway and open doors for a gorgeous breeze. The new garden is amazing. So cute, your puppy friend.
Hi Jan, Tim and Baylee 💫 Timmy’s garden is looking so good…. I absolutely adore your professional tools lol, I do use the same a lot and wow! The way you manhandled that Ficus out of the ground… Grrrr….. Can’t wait for the next update. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend. 🙏🏻💫
Tim’s back yard looks great! Love the root sculpture - truly! Puppy needs more balls, toys, tug-of-war rope, and safe healthy chews to keep her busy! Rubber tree, is gorgeous! Great work, guys!
Ok I just enjoy these videos sooo much! The garden is looking amazing and Bailey is growing so much 🐶 “Remember when I said it’s about the tools you have” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The plant that Tim’s neighbour gave him, the one with purple undersides, could be a tradescantia spathacea, or moses-in-the-cradle. Here in Asia, we use it to brew into a beautiful purple-coloured herbal tea.
I almost forget you guys are heading into autumn for the amount of new growth ( especially that ficus cutting!) Bailey and Tim are settling in nicely too. Great update, thanks. 😻
Check the back and stems of all the eaten leaves for caterpillars. Some of them are so well camouflaged that they are easy to miss. I've had an epidemic of different caterpillars eating my plants here in Hervey Bay. Latest victim was a new leaf on a cutting of fiddle leaf fig. I've had my variegated devils ivy eaten. They can do a lot o damage in a day. Nice progress in Tim's garden.
Another great video, thanks. BEWARE the cannas! They take over (speaking from experience) Will push other roots out of the way or simply smother them. Also the magic stick; bloody hard to keep fox tails from giving up. Mine died a slow painful death. Loving Bailey, missing Brad . BTW a wall herb garden near the window would work 💚💚
It’s all coming together beautifully you guys 👏👏 Bailey has stolen my heart - she’s such good fun & loves being with you both. Hugs for Brad, haven’t seen much of him lately. Is he busy on his iPad? 😂😂
Thank you so much for the time you spend creating these before and after type videos. So time consuming but so worth it!!! If we can’t all live where you are and spend the amount of time that you do on your plants, at least we can appreciate your climate and dedication. Thanks again!
I would LOVE to have a garden the size of Tim's. His is so Beautiful. I do not think I could ever keep my yard as Pretty even though it is only a small half acre.
I am surprised that your neighbors aren't trying to hire you to help beautify their gardens. I wish I could keep plants on my balcony but I get full sun in the summer and I don't think they would survive that or the cold winters here in Wash DC. Thanks for showing the plant updates and cute Bailey too!
About the Cana cleopatra rhizomes lol when Tim’s said “uhhh..I don’t think so” I always passed out! lol You’ve created a monster Sydney!😂 I love it!💚💚💚
Almost jealous how quick it’s all growing. Here, half way between Syd and Mel, it’s much more challenging. Anyway, for the empty wall near the bar I think some trailing ripsalis might look good.
I love Tim's backyard. The palm tree thing hanging I thought it was decoration. Bailey is too cute and friendly/happy. I like the fern and the xanadu. My xanadu is giving me yellow leaves so I am wondering if its a nitrogen issue. I like the fake grass too, it completes the overall look. That is what my plant is called Alocasias regal sheilds. I purchased it at trader joes and I keep it in leca and its so easy.
Congratulations Tim! Bailey is gorgeous, may wanna plant actual grass now ya? What are you thinking Jan?! Those palm pieces hanging on the back wall are beautiful!!! lol Tim “stunt leaves” 😂 love it Jan: “oh she’s a biter, just like me in high school” 😂😂😂
We'll plant grass when we're heading into spring :) for now Bailey can use the artificial turf (which is what she's used to) so worked out perfectly :)
Wonderful update. Have enjoyed your channel for years. Need to know the name of the other channel please . Now for the bad news. From experience I can tell you that the dirt you have piled up on your wood fence and stucco wall will damage it. You will be repairing the stucco and replacing the fence you need to slide something between the dirt and the structure. It will be worth it.
Everything looks great and is growing up nicely, guys.😊 Little miss Bailey was 'paws'itively a great masseuse for Jan as he was planting the Dubia. What a helper she is!! Looking forward to seeing how everything progresses. Not to mention what you come up with for the small area in front of that small wall, behind the table. (Maybe a long rectangular pot the length of the table), filled with tricolor jade, lower growing cacti/succulent species perhaps? Or maybe sanseveria varieties of snake plant?
Great growth going on. If there is enough room, would Tim consider moving the breakfast bar so it’s facing the garden rather than the wall? That way you could put some pots against the wall.
I think there has been a large grasshopper eating leaves. Very cute grasshopper big and brown. Congrats on the growth though. In spring, the sad alocasias will look amazing even if every leaf disappears 🎉🎉 Jan wait till you see a new huge seed pod emerge on the palm🌴, you will love it. Then, the migratory birds will arrive to eat the red seeds. So gorgeous 😍. This video is so funny 😂
Tim's garden is also becoming more and more of a small jungle.🪴 You have done a great job, the fence is also perfect. The little cute lady can settle in really well😻
Thanks for the updates! Couldn’t believe how well that ficus rooted in. 🤩. Love me some variegation too! You probably know this but dog urine has high salt content killing plants or real grass . Might consider a fence. Dogs want to please you (unlike cats 🤓). don’t encourage nibbling or excessive barking. As she gets older it won’t be so cute.
Beautiful backyard!! Great job. I would have put landscape edging between the fence and the dirt you added as it will probably deteriorate from the dirt and mulch next to it but what do I know lol. Love the puppy. I like the name Ruby
Sorry about the last replies I made, but I didn't save. I enjoyed the garden and the puppy. If you can, Will you please start to include some names and kinds of birds that we hear in the background? Thanks much.
Hi guys I haven't been watching you very long can you please let me know what you grow your own plans in your pots I don't think 🤔 you grow them in dirt am I right please let me know thank you and Tim love your puppy she's gorgeous ❤
You may regret where you planted that Bird of Paradise, in the ground they get quite huge. Here in south Florida we tend to chop down trunks as they grow because they just get so massive. And as a clumping plant, it is going to encroach on the deck as well. Basically, there is going to be a lot of maintenance to keep that plant in line.
You might have gotten this comment already but have you considered putting the ficus in a plastic pot (with a few small holes in the bottom) and then put it in the ground? We do this with invasive plants (like mint, but also bigger plants). It allows the plant to still be in the ground, with the benefits of not beeing in a pot, and still not destroy the garden or anything else.
