This band got me through a tough period of my life in my preteens and teens and into adulthood. Even now I go back on occasion and feel like I can still relate to songs like retina and the war is over. Their music really hasn't aged one bit. I hope they put out something soon. They've been such a great band.
I got into this band because as a kid I downloaded a rare deftones song called “Hover”… Then eventually found out it wasn’t deftones but actually trust company I went a out and bought the lonely position of neutral on cd and I loved it. It was a great time, skateboarding, baggy jeans, spiked gelled hair. Good memories.
"The Lonely Position of Neutral" is one of my top albums of all time. It's one of the few albums I can listen front to back with no skips. This band was so good, sucks they stopped.
Downfall might be TrustCompany's most well-known song, but they've got a swarm of excellent songs. Falling Apart, Stronger, The War Is Over, Silently, Crossing The Line, Erased, Finally, Deeper Into You, The Fear, Running From Me and Someone Like You are amazing as well!
@@_-_-_-Prof.BoskoBiathi-_-_-_ I had a 5 speed little blue ford escort back in the day and I loved to blast Figure 8 and act like my car was fast revving it up back in the day
They released an album in 2011 called 'Dreaming in Black and White' that's significantly better than anything they did before it, I would highly recommend everyone give it a listen
@@ericmarvel909 I love their first album too but it’s definitely a product of it’s time, I feel like dreaming in black & white has a more timeless sound
Y’all will all be happy to know that the band got back together and is touring again! 😁 I saw them last night and they truly blew my mind. They sounded phenomenal! If anyone is interested, The next date so far is welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, May 9-12!
The Lonely Position of Neutral was a great album. I remember getting that cd in '02 and listening to it so many times. The singer had an interesting voice, and the band had a good sound.
Painfully underrated. Theyre debut album was huge in my formative years and still listen to this day. No skips. Played it once at work and a girl working next to me liked it and inquired and told her about it and said "came out the year you were born haha" and her eyes got all big lol. Hopefully a new wave of exposure is in the cards for them and they get the recognition they've deserved.
Trust company is insanely underrated. How whenever Top whatever " Rock one hit wonders of the 2000s" lists are compiled and "Downfall" isn't on the list or even mentioned is absurd. You know bc can't omit songs like " Headstrong" ( the most corny, lame overrated song of the past 25 years), the Franz Ferdinand cover of take me out called "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven or " Wherever you will go" or whatever 1000 songs it ripped off or bands that ripped this off and don't forget the awful covers bc "Downfall" doesn't compete and wasn't 13 year old girls favorite song.
Any 2000's ALT/Nu metal list without "Downfall" or "Wasteland" by 10 years on it instantly loses any sort of credibility (imo), MX Unleashed and the song Downfall is forever burnt in my memories lol such good times.
I love being reminded of bands I forgot about. I had the CD. No idea what happened to it. Thank God for Spotify. Any band. Anywhere. Any time. I'm gonna listen to them tonight.
Bama native here. Kevin visited a restaurant I was working at at the time and got a pic with him. Super chill dude and that was like 10 years ago. I remember “Downfall” being on that Disney Skating game.
Still a fan of TRUSTcompany as they are one of the few bands from their era that aged well. They also produced good albums instead of just wrapping 40 minutes around the three singles you wrote. One of the few bands from the early 2000s that I can say never disappointed me. Hope the best for all members and hope the reuniting goes well.
I still listen to their 3 albums regularly, have all 3 of them sitting right here. SO underrated, Stronger, Downfall, Running From me are just masterpieces of skate punk metal mixies. Their last album Dreaming in black and white is just a masterpiece from start to finish. Each album was even stronger (no pun intended) than the last. it's so sad they disappeared. I'm listening to a least a few of their songs once a week at least. True Parallels, Lonely Position of Neutral and Dreaming in Black and White are all 3 masterpieces to my skate punk metal heart..lol
The biggest promotion they got was arguably by WWE of all places. Having not one, not two, but three songs used as themes for PPVs watched by millions and sampled every week on national TV got their name out there more than anything else.
I heard Downfall when WWE made it a theme for a PPV back then. I liked it so I bought the album soon after. I think I still have it or maybe not... Just another band from my years of youthful exuberance...
I bought their 1st album when I was 11 and would get home from school shortly before my parents and jam out to this while doing homework on my dads stereo! Good memories.
The song was the theme song for one of the WWE pay-per-views, I can't remember which one. But that's how I became a fan. I got introduced to a lot of hard rock music because of WWE. Drowning Pool, Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit, Trust Co, all had ppv theme songs.
Saw these guys in late 2008 and was fortunate enough to meet them all. SUPER nice guys. Very friendly and polite. James actually walked up to ME and initiated a conversation (due to my Trust Co shirt). Literally the nicest band I've ever met. and I've met a good amount.
Saw these guys open for Korn and Disturbed in 2002. Shortly after that they just poof, disappeared from any spotlight. Always wondered what happened to them. Thank you!
As a teenager in Montgomery, my friends and I would go to their shows (41Down) and do a little bit of partying with them. Good times from what I can remember
Trust Company such an amazing band. They don’t get enough love. Downfall was my walk out song for wrestling my senior year. One of my favorite bands The lonely position of neutral is amazing
The LPON stayed in my old car single CD player back in 2002 for months on end. I could listen to it straight through over and over and never got bored. man I miss those days.
I love when one of these videos pops up and gives me one of those, oh yeah, that band! Then I go back and listen, and there's a flood of memories. This band had some great tracks, and they hold up.
I live on the Gulf Coast, and I definitely remember the huge buzz 41 Down had as a regional act before they became TRUSTcompany. It was pretty exciting to see a band from this area get signed to a major label and have a hit song.
I have those first two albums and enjoy them a great deal. They had a nice sound, without all the screaming associated with much of their contemporaries. You don't need long hair or a marketable image to make good rock music, and these guys proved that.
Great video! I was fortunate enough to be close with these guys during their time in Florida. I first saw/met them as 41 Down when they were playing small clubs in Orlando. Watching and being a part of them getting bigger was exciting. The last time I was around them was when they were on tour with Korn around 02/03 (?). Great times!!
Ok I think this is the first time this has happened to me in the history of my life. This is the first RNR video that I’ve seen that you show your face and you look EXACTLY the way I always imagined. Amazing.
I'm so glad I got to see them live soon after Dreaming In Black and White came out. So glad to hear both their new stuff and their classic stuff in their set!
The lonely position of neutral is the definition of nostalgia for me and is in my top 10 favorite albums ever. I’m usually very picky about rating albums but I give this album 10/10 along with toxicity, untouchables, hymn of a broken man, and dirt
I discovered this band when they opened up for Korn back in 2002. I love them right away! Favorites are "Running from Me" "Someone Like You" "The Reflection" and "The War is Over." I still listen to them to this day.
their entire first album is great. i talked to their manager at a show.. they were supposed be to play OzFest, but the Record Company made them go in the studio to record the 2nd album, and it was plagued with problems and delays. they lost their momentum.
Only knowing Downfall, when my buddy raved about this band I shrugged them off. I gave in and listened to the first album and I’ve been a fan ever since! Great vocal work on so many of these tunes!
I first learned about and saw Trust Company when they opened for Korn back in the early 2000's in Wichita KS. I was really impressed with them, although I and most people were there to see Korn. I did make note of them and bought their CD the following week and loved the whole CD. They have a unique style. I always wondered what happened to them. Thanks for the video explaining about them.
I was hoping to hear about the connection with Flyleaf. The first lines of 'Fully Alive' are about Kevin's wife, Layla Palmer after a horrific traffic collision'. "Telling Laylas story spoken / about how all her bones are broken" There's a story behind how Lacey Sturm (nee Mosley) knew Layla and why this event moved her so much. I'd like to hear about that.
I fucking loved this band...1st album, incredible...2nd album, also incredible....3rd, also incredible.. ive spent alot of time listening to their music.
Loved their first record... saw them live in Kansas City in March 2003… Met the guys after the show and told Kevin how much I loved “Hover”... The irony! In fewer words he did say they wanted to release it. Great show, Great guys, although the bassist came off a bit snobby.
I was 11 when I discover this band. WWE had just released their PPV theme song for survivor series 2008 and it was Trust Company - Falling Apart. I fell in love with the song and continue to listen to their other music and became a huge fan. Still to this day I listen to all three of their albums on Apple Music
I remember getting their 1st album in 02. I was 14, I was just about start high school and I remember the album was so good. Of course I was sold with downfall, that’s why I got the album at my local target lol. But it’s a album I still listen to 21 years later today. The voice and Riffs drew me in. Couldn’t get into the other albums sadly. Just didn’t hit like the lonely position of neutral.
Trust company is SOO good. They r one of my dad’s favorite bands of all time and became a family favorite. The lonely post it’s on of neutral is literally GOLD. Every freaking song. I literally saw they r playing at Inkcarceration this year and I about freaked! I wanna see them sooo bad. Almost saw them for $13 back with my dad and sister in mid 2000s but fell through unfortunately, Still waiting for a new album cause I know will be gold.
I saw them live at Rock on the Range in 2011. They put on a good show, but what I remember most is how so many people had signs for them to play downfall.
I got to see them open up for a tour of disturbed and korn in like I think early 2002 and it was a awesome show all 3 bands kicked ass that night in ft.myers Florida I hope they can put something together
