What makes you so sure that God is trustworthy? This may seem insignificant to some of you, but it meant the world to me. I recently moved and I was supposed to drive 3 hours to visit some relatives. That morning I woke up so sick that I couldn’t get into the car. I said “Lord why am I feeling this way?” I thought ‘Father, I am supposed to see my loved ones, why is this happening?’ Then I thought that maybe He was getting my sickness out of the way so I could enjoy my visit and not be ill when I’m there. I rested for the day and left at night. I felt so much better and was able to see my lovely relatives the next day. I just thought this was so loving and I am very thankful!
i gave birth to a beautiful girl on monday, & it was God’s design & purpose for her to be adopted. my youth pastors from when i was 14 took her home yesterday. it’s an open adoption, & God definitely had His hand on the whole process, from finances to the people involved. i’ve been so honored & blessed to be a part of this story. anyways, i say these things as background information, because i have been getting waves of sorrow because i miss her & feel a sort of empty space around me because she’s not here. this topic of trustworthiness in God’s Word is exactly what i need to hear right now, so thank you. & to those who have read this, please say a prayer for me. i don’t regret my decision at all because i know it’s God will, but i am dealing with a longing i have never felt before.

When you said “there are times when we feel like our soul is Longing for god” I connect with that sooo much because I have those times when I catch my self slipping or thinking about something I shouldn’t be and I just long to hear gods word instead and be filled with his thoughts and praises. Luckily amen podcast is one of the vessels to help me be filled in gods word instead of being eaten away by other thoughts that aren’t necessary.
Hi guys, I never comment but I really want to today for some reason😂. You probably won’t even see this but man I just want to say I thank God for y’all. Thank you for allowing God to use you to teach truth here on this platform. I am a 21 year old black man who is trying to understand and apply the Word in my life on a daily basis. I’ve been a baby in my faith for years and this channel along with Voddie Bauchman and Allen Parr has matured me to have more confidence in the truth of our saviour. I used to be so involved with the world seeking acceptance by doing things that are against God and seeking evil without even realizing it but your channel has always been here to remind me to stay focus. I recently have been separating myself from worldly things and deleted all my social media. And man that’s hard as a 21 year old😂 if I’m not seeking God, then I’m seeking the Devil and you guys taught me that. Love you both so much and I pray that one day, God allows our paths to cross. Also could you maybe do a video on biblical manhood because I’m single snd I’m so afraid of not being a great husband and father one day prayfully if God ever sends me a woman. I don’t even know what I’m suppose to look for in a woman because today’s society corrupted women especially around my age so it’s hard for me man and I’m tryna trust God with it. Hello Mr. Berrian, I hardly ever respond to other's posts but it's imperative I'm obedient to The LORD when HE instructs me...hence my post. I was inspired by your post, especially as a young man...admirable. RC Blakes Jr. has an amazing YT channel filled with Biblically-based content: A series of videos (he has a book also) for men, Kingology...healthy masculine manhood. He also has a series for women, Queenology. Again, they're ALL rooted in Scripture, interesting content, & has helped me tremendously as a woman tapping into who GOD created me to be. Some men follow & watch the videos he has for women...they're that insightful and good. Hopefully, this puts you on the right path. I'd advise above ALL to take this suggestion, as well as your heart's desire to be a healthy, Godly man, to The LORD JESUS CHRIST in prayer and ask HIM for HIS guidance & direction and I believe HE Will lead you accordingly. There is a boy in my class who calls himself a man of God, but his actions contradict his speech, he loves to humiliate with his extensive knowledge and intelligence with his classmates and seeks harsh political and religious discussions. I'm having trouble keeping my patience, I have to listen to the revolt of others with his actions, besides that vanity corrupts, seeing the size of his ego I started to numb myself, being a being that is not me. I try to ignore it, but he seems to enjoy the attention and the clapping... Thank God and thank you for the marvelous podcast, I completely love it. It is a relief after days not reading the scriptures and praying because of torment. Love you guys, God bless you❤ 💖.
The enemy sometimes uses your family to persecute you, and as you said we're always persecuted, even in our minds the enemy persecute us. We have to guard our hearts in the word of God and keep looking at Jesus.
My husband and I went on a vacation recently and I noticed a woman glaring at me on the airplane. She seemed so disturbed by my existence although I was a complete stranger. I didn't read much into it but I love that you all brought up about modern day persecution. Darkness cannot comprehend the light of Christ. My husband and I ended up praying for her after we left. I get my food taken away from me and asked to leave their store I am told I can't go into clinics I am been told I'm crazy and they want me on meds I was put in a bar que pit to burn I have been beat till I thought I was dead but Jesus Jesus I wish I had real christians around me
You are all doing an amazing job with all of your podcasts, and you explain the Word so well. It is amazing how much God has gifted you to teach and explain His Word. I love the stories you share and how they connect to The Word. For me persecution has been as you said, slight. People celebrating pride month, when I share The Gospel, people react to it like it isn’t The Word of God. Friends don’t agree with what I stand for, but His Holy Spirit gives me so much strength and joy in the midst of it. Great job and continue doing God’s Will.
hi lokelani and alex! I think it would be so helpful to women and teens if you did an episode about the woman’s role in the church. I am personally struggling with feeling less than a man when it comes to involvement with christianity, but i know that that feeling is wrong. Hey guys, love the podcast. I have definitely seen persecution- many mock me all the time at school, as I am the only student I know of who actively preaches. I am relentlessly mocked by my peers and I can always tell in interactions that they believe they are better than me. I have had many directly insult me online and in person, and I hear reports from my friends that many talk about me behind my back, one person even calling me "deplorable". I am thankful that you guys understand that the devil works implicitly in terms of persecution- he wants you to be ashamed of the gospel. Thankfully, I could never do that to Jesus. You guys are doing amazing work, helping to inspire and guide Christians across the globe, which especially in modern Western society is desperately needed.

I pray for you and your family every day, because of your pure and simple reading of God's Word, just like 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 says. As Jesus has given us the Authority of God by His death and resurrection, and as He has supplied us with the Power in His Holy Spirit, and by this power and authority I pray that God's Healing BE on you and your entire family. Just as God said "Light, BE" in Genesis, I pray God's Health, Prosperity, and Success BE a covering over you. Amen. ("so be it" or "Prayer, BE!!") And just as The Word says in 1 John 5:14-15 that we can be sure that God hears us, and if He hears us, we can be sure that He will answer. BE well. BE whole. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. 24:00 Sometimes it looks like these things: - Being in class and not having anyone to talk to because I want to guard my heart from evil people. - People who I thought were friends saying things behind my back: At dismissal at school, there was a group of people (some of which i thought were my friends) who were talking together and my friend happened to be in that group. It came up that a person in the group said something about me standing against the wall by myself. Someone then said something about whether they should go talk to me or not because I was alone, but then someone, in a mockingly way, said, “Nah he’s not alone, he’s got Jesus!” (The only reason I know that happened is because my friend that was in the group ended up telling me about it. And though the person who said I was not alone because I had Jesus wasn’t wrong, they meant it in a rude, malicious way.) - This isn’t necessarily persecution but I feel like I’m the only one doing this - talking to the kid that nobody else likes. It gets difficult especially since sometimes they are hard to love. But Jesus tells me to bear with them, so I try my best for Him. Please be praying for my faith! ❤️🙏🏾
Wow. I’m in high school right now and I feel like God is telling me to separate myself from my group of friends. You’re an inspiration for your obedience to him, and hopefully I too can listen to his voice and sever those unhealthy ties that are drawing me closer to sin. Take this with a grain of salt because this is just an opinion and not scripture (if you can find opposing scripture that’s great, God knows much better than I do). But I would say that you don’t have to isolate yourself completely even from speaking to people in your classrooms. If the conversations they have are sinful in nature then it’s best to keep away from them and do as you’re doing, but if you just chit chat and make small talk it’s certainly not sin. Regardless, you should pray about it and see what God has to say. God bless you brother, continue to seek God! Pray for me too, I need some of your zeal right about now I ain’t gon lie 😅
Great word! It’s so crazy how you said even in churches we find people plotting for the downfall of others, and it just made me realize that persecution can also be lived inside of a church when it’s members look down or mock others as more spiritual( or taking the word of God too serious) because one carries himself in a way that it’s always looking for God’s approval and not after peoples approval
Persecution Examples: People deliberately mocking Jesus in front of you because they know how much you love God. People gossiping about your belief and always challenging what you believe in.

I use to attend a Christian school for 4 years in middle school, then recently I moved to a Canada with my mom and start at a new high school that is not Christian, and it feels God has taken me out of my comfort zone, where I never felt that annoying or uncomfortable, when talking about my faith or living it out. Last month and yesterday my school had an sex education class, where they were encouraging teens to commit sexual immorality like porn and saying its normal, I couldn’t believe ears and I asked the teacher if I could leave, and she let me and now whenever I they have those classes I just leave, even though my new classmate look at me different now than from the first day I started school. Especially because they follow me on my insta, where I share the gospel a lot. It’s just hard getting used to this new environment, where I feel exposed sin and keep praying that God will guard my ming and heart, cause I don’t want to indulge with them, but i also don’t want to judge them . PLEASE PRAY FOR ME TGAT GOD WILL USES THIS SITUATION TO SHAPE INTO WHAT HE WANTS ME TO BECOME. Often I tell myself Just like the Israelite God has brought me to the wilderness to prepare me and so I can get to the promise land ready.
I have been going through a very dry spiritual spell that also affected my 16 year old son like God is not answering and have no desire to be in church or read his word or pray and I am even going through doubts . This is the worst persecution I ever encountered

I face persecution at my work place because of how I often share things about my church, gospel on Facebook. They come as subtle jokes like "oh its the wanna be holy". And mind you they come from my friends who are Christians themselves. It gets uncomfortable alot.
Hey great video on free will (something I’ve been asking myself), I need some advice from a fellow believer. So in 2020 I came into a more deeper belief in God and Christ through tik tok and was totally against it because of the fear it put in me but I stayed just because I was afraid of hell. As a result I learned and found out more about God and thought I had a relationship with him and that I was saved but I wasn’t and I knew I really needed to take him seriously and repent. Before I knew I wasn’t saved I tried hard to fix myself and obey God but I never felt I was good enough and it was a burden. Towards September 2021 was when I found out I wasn’t saved. December 2021 was when stuff went downhill. I was sad every other day, and was desperate for God’s help but couldn’t let go of my life. Since January till now I have procrastinated on should I repent and surrender everything to God or should I just not. As a result I have experience mental blockage( and a serious pain in my head) because that’s the only thing that’s been on my mind for four whole months (literally I can’t make this up) and it really left me mentally unstable to the point where I couldn’t get my school work done, feel feelings anymore, it was awful like if I was Present in time but wasn’t really there. I came to a conclusion that if I’m going to be a better person for myself and my family ( because of having only one thing on your mind for 4 whole months you kinda tend to block everything and everyone out) I need to just let God and Christ go all together because I obviously don’t want to repent and surrender. I know that is the unforgivable sin or either reprobate but I’m so emotionally hurt I could really care less. So I tried it for a day and I just love Christ to much to let him go completely and am too scared to go into this year without him because stuff is getting real. But I feel I just need to move on. but when I stop thinking about God and the whole repentance thing I feel so free and like I can have feelings again. Its been about 3 days now and I’m more sure I want to leave but still hanging on a thread and not even sure if I can come back to God. What should I do? ( Not just the obvious “repent ,pray , have faith, trust” trust me for 4 months I tried this. I’m really tired and just want to move on in life. I’m so mentally messed up, I think I might just have to reject Christ because I can’t do this. What do you suggest I REALLY do? What’s safe? Follow Christ or freedom to reject him
Hey, I know u were wanting advice from the Amen podcast, but I thought to chip in a bit of my thoughts. I don't know the situation your going through, nor do I know what you're struggling to surrender, but truly, life, hope, and peace is found in Jesus. He is the way that leads to life, and every other path leads to death. And if u desire to choose Him, and choose life, He WILL help u overcome any sinful lifestyles ur trying to break. It's not in our own strength. Otherwise why did Jesus need to come haha. The fact is we were slaves to sin, slaves to our flesh, but Jesus came to die and be raised again, so that we TOO might die to our sins, and have new life in Him!! And so it's in His strength that we overcome. He never promises that it will be pain free. In fact, he tells us to follow Him, we must pick up our cross daily and follow Him. That's painful. But he PROMISES that whoever loses His life for His sake, will find it. Life is in Him. The devil is trying to convince u that life and peace is found apart from Christ. His grace is sufficient for u to overcome. The word of God is a sword - so I encourage you to use it whenever u feel like it's all too much. Philippians 4:6-9 might be agood place to start. Also 2 Corinthians 12:9. Jesus is worth it. I'll be praying for you ❤️🙏
A black man who is in his 20s trusting in God will get persecuted in these times. According to culture im suppose to be BLM&LGBTQ, listening to rap etc but I am not. SO persecution is REAL here on the mainland yes siiiiirrrr

I noticed Lokelani’s account was following some inappropriate stuff but I also knew that she rarely used her account based off of the last time she had posted anything. I did not assume anything bc accounts are hacked all the time. I am glad you were able to sort everything out! Y’all have taught me so much about how to persevere through affliction as a Christian.
