Watch this video to learn the proper set up and use of the original TRX Suspension Trainer. Review proper height and length adjustments by exercise, plus learn how to attach your TRX to a sturdy anchor point.
Although 9 years old, this is the most comprehensive and understandable of the suspension system set up videos I've seen on the site. The only thing missing is the X mount bolt in solution, but there is probably a specific video on that.
Thank you guys, this video is extremely helpful. The lady at 3:33 is very competent at these exercises, she even shakes less on the pushups than the guys. Thanks for being so comprehensive, I think you covered a lot here. All the best : )
Guys be careful, I LOVE TRX but when I use it on my dorm’s door, after unlocking it🔓, it takes me 10 mins more and maximum body strength to pull my door open again🚪. Great video and animation !
if you go to 1:07, you'll see that there are 2 carabiners. The suspension one at the very top, and the main carabiner. You can hook the suspension one to the various levels of yellow strap, but not the main carabiner. I could see how that could be confusing the way they showed that.
Hi, I just bought this used. It's in good shape. All that it came with was the handles and what appears to be the anchor. I just set it up and it seems to be working fine. I'm wondering if I can send a few pics somewhere to confirm nothing is missing? Thanks!
The recommended 6' height for the bottom of the suspension anchor is based for what user height range? I'm about 6'4" and find it too low. As I use it with other people who are shorter, raising the anchor point is not an easy option
maybe reupload in 1080p? :D anyway thanks for the guide. i borrowed the TRX without any instructions from a friend. and i want to excersie not hurt or even injure myself :)
Dude, that's Crissy Field in the City! Nice... What is the difference between the "Fitness" grey straps and the "Strength" Yellow straps I have seen at Dick's Sporting Goods? The grey ones are $100.00 and yellow is $150.00 They both have the same stuff according to the packaging.
The TRX is not compatible with regular height doors unless the only exercise you want to use it for is suspended push-ups, which aren’t nearly as good as regular floor push-ups.
Kind of annoying that a handle on my 2009 military trx started cracking and falling apart in 2017. I did get about 8 years out of it, but would have hoped for even more. I weigh about 160 and always stored it inside.
surprisingly, I don't think it was even that (although it's possible). Just seemed like after 8 years the plastic hit the end of its useful life. The plastic on the older ones doesn't flair out at the ends like the newer ones, so they're probably more prone to fatigue and slightly cutting into the nylon too. I bought a new 'pro model' on sale a few weeks ago, and also found an online coupon code that knocked off a few more bucks. Was still like $181, but hopefully will not need replacing anytime soon. Wouldn't surprise me if they have a better sale around Christmas. Definitely search for trx coupon codes and try a bunch if you buy one.
I would never set up the TRX band to where if someone Open the door and came into the room down to the ground you would go. It is always best to set these up on the exterior of any room, whether indoors or outdoors. You cannot rely on having the door locked. Because the doors gonna be unlocked from the other side.
