Great video. Just installed this on my 2022 Rebel with black interior. The red ignition button offers a little color contrast in an ocean of black leather. This videos method is much easier than trying to access through the lower access panel. I will say that having tried both methods that the method mentioned in this video is the easiest. Albeit, not as easy as he makes it. You have to have small hands and be a little on the slimmer side to fit under the steering wheel as well as have tiny hands to reach the second tab on top. Don’t bother removing the lower access panel! The angle is has for the ignition button is nearly impossible to reach because of all the wiring looms the block access.
15 years ago I probably would have pretzeled myself into whatever position was needed to reach up there. But now-a-days I just removed the kick panel. It's a few extra steps and minutes, but easier on my back and I didn't jave to lay on a dirty floor board.
Cool, if ya wanna red one I guess. I would do this if the factory switch failed but not just to change color. That's just me though, nice these are available for the ones that do want it.
Greeting, Great videos I enjoy them alot.I'm wondering on a Fiat 500 sport manual trans I need to replace the left differential seal do a really need that special Chrysler tool to do that job? I thank you
Is there something different with the 2023's? I don't have a way to get my hand on the switch. There's so much in the way blocking it. I can see it, but physically can't reach my hand to it.
More then likely it would considering this switch is used on many different models from Dodge/Chrysler/Ram. Best way to find out is to pull yours out and compare it to the picture. I do know there is another version that is longer so you would just have to make sure it is the same.
