The Ram gets its first mods! Mopar Mats: amzn.to/3oHLP45 Throttle Mod: www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=... Side Steps: amzn.to/33rbO45 Watch our other 5th Gen Ram videos: @TruckCentral
A grille guard, performance intake, performance exhaust, tool chest, bed rails, and maybe some seat covers. That’s cool having that mod for the pedal response, my 06’ Dakota is fly by cable so I don’t worry about pedal delay lol
I am curious if you are still using the pedal mod? I used a sprint booster for a week and i would get the code P0456 every time after a couple days. I tried it 3 times and sent it back for a refund and it has been a few months with no code so I am 100% sure it was the problem. Anyway did you have that with yours? Take care!
I have a pedal commander (different company, same concept) for my Subaru BRZ.. a lot of people hate on it, I see the same type of comments about the pedal max.. but there actually is a huge difference. You can retune the vehicle, but what's nice about these is that it's plug and play, and adjustable
I didn’t know that about the mats . My 2022 1500 Laramie night edition came with them, I thought it was a like a standard thing. Honestly it should be standard , I mean there is no reason why all trucks don’t come with all weather mats , regardless of make/model/trim. They are trucks after all.
The mats are really great. I love mine. I just wish they had cut the holes for the cargo tie-downs. I can't bring myself to cut holes into my brand new beautiful mats when I may never need to secure anything that way...although I imagine I will because the cargo area is impressive with the rear seats up and very useful space.
I too am going from Tundra to Ram, but under sad circumstances. My 2021 TRD Pro was totaled by my daughter and I simply cannot find the same truck for a reasonable price. Just bought a 2021 Ram Laramie that'll be here in a few days. I already ordered a Pedal Commander, console safe, Retrax XR bed cover and bed extender...same as what I had in the Tundra. Trying to make the transition as painless as possible. LOL!
NY 22 Lone Star came with those floor mats. Pretty good quality but there are a few spots I wish it fit tighter like around the back of the center console. But all in all good quality mats
The floor mats look great, but I will tell you that Husky is one level up. The edges stay firm, so it is a tight fit at every touchpoint. Additionally, the Husky mats extend past the threshold. Subsequently, there is no irritating pieces of dirt that get caught between the plastic piece and the carpet.
Mopar needs to make rear bumper deployable bed step for both sides not just the driver's side, especially since it's always alot safer to climb into the bed from the passenger side nearest the sidewalk not the driver's side which is right in the middle of the street. Mopar really blew it on this one. Please notify Mopar regarding this very real safety matter, thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
You know the delay is for clutching cushioning on transmission so it doesn't slap as hard. You will have premature wear/failure now that the modulation has been eliminated. There's a reason they do these things.
People know these things. Cars are sold and run at an optimal point for longevity and durability. But most people don’t keep cars that long nowadays and just want their driving experience to go up.
@@ic3man5 you’re right. I’ll specify by saying I meant that modding your car may or may not cause parts to wear out earlier then they would have with an all stock car. Cars, like everything is in modern society is made not to last, and to break.
Love the sport hood except for the rear fake vents. The pedal max can ramp of the throttle position all it wants. At the end of the day the ECU will open or limit the throttle opening and speed. That’s the difference between commanded and actual. The delay is to keep from shocking the trans as well as comfort ie no jerking. Only way around this is to crack the ECU. They’re snake oil just like a type of air filter will give you a few MPGs. Think about it the delay isn’t because you can’t push the throttle fast enough. So how would the peddle max help in theory?
Well it does! Only thing i can tell you is there is a MAJOR difference and you would have to try it for your self. there is no shocking the trans. nothing seems jerky, damaging or slamming. I mean yes there is alot more sensitivity for sure but again the dial will get it where its perfect for you! You can say what you want about the ecu but this definitely opens up so......
Does this make the mpg worse?? I'm not talking about now you leave every stop pressing the pedal to the metal lol... obviously that would. I'm just referring to highway mileage
My ram came with the mats and love them. Also ce with side steps which look in my opinion better than the aftermarket you have. I don't need the pedal max. Plenty of power
@@Brian-cf7dc i put in the sprint boost commander in my truck .been flawless for 3 years.has 3 settings.stock stage 1 and stage 2.bettet than the dial.5 min install.
Do the mats not come with Big Horn? I bought the Laramie sport and the did but I noticed looking at Limited model you have to buy the mats or see if the dealer options it. Kinda crazy they aren't stock in all trim levels with how nice they are.
Super old thread but I've had 2 bighorns(2019, and current 2022), and they both came with these Mopar mats. They are very nice, and protect better than anything I've used in past. Recommended👍
There is a recall on those mats for the driver side the gas pedal gets stuck on the rubber, it has to be cut out to prevent the gas pedal from getting caught up
Should compare the petal commander and the JMS system. I have a petal commander and after seeing this install. I believe the install is easer and interface is better with the petal commander.
Got my ram mats from the dealer for only $140 cdn. Had them on my 17 and now on my 19 ram great mats. Also had the peddal commander on my 17 that made my 0-60 a sec quicker. I now need one for my 19 lol. Btw where did you get the hood/fender decal? Want to get one too👍
Giulio Calvelli Lol. No no. I wasn’t talking about the stripes. I was referring to the pedal max. If you really want I can sell you some and send them to you But you’ll have to do some cutting to install them.
Just to be accurate, the pedal max does not "Remap" the ECU it modifies the throttle input signal. Remapping is not the same as in line units or even the OBDII plug in types of units. Just sayin. :)
well it claims to give better mileage as well. but its no different than any other "performance up grade" do you buy it for better mileage!!?? Its called performance for a reason
Would the JMS have issues with the v8 eTorque model? Since technically the eTorque is doing a half-wheel turn from dead stop before handing off to the engine
If you don't live in a winter environment in the north, sure. My guess is you live in Texas and have no idea how our salty winters mess up your stock floor carpet
Since Dodge and Ram are separate now then why did you put the dodge stripe on a ram truck? Dodge uses the stripe on the cars and stopped using the ram head and that’s why they use the stripe to separate the insignias !
@@enjoylife7030 Yeah, my son was born on the night they lost the wild card game to the blue jays when bautista hit the walk off!! Was literally waiting for them to bring him in to our room. Happiest and saddest day of my life LMAO!
I tried the throttle mod and I have to say, it's garbage so when I see these reviews of guys saying how great they are, I dismiss them completely. The mod installed easy and seemed kind of cool at first but it wasn't long before I got the check engine light and eco mode was completely disabled and the throttle response was sketchy. I called about it and was told that is just how they work. LOL. Really? Not for me...
