I'd like to point out that in the latest Without a Recipe, Eugene actually ranks lower than the turkey, which is the stand in for Ned in that episode, meaning Ned constantly getting last place in the first two episodes of the season was just pure coincidence.

I love how Ned was literally “an elephant in the room”. Also, the 800lbs means something: In American English slang, an 800lb gorilla (which appeared in the next episode) means “a powerful group of people who can’t be touched and don’t listen to rules”.

Yes. They've combined the 'Elephant in the room" (the thing we aren't talking about but should) and the '800lb Gorilla' which was first used as a political term as in something difficult to work with, like another politician who has the opposite views from you.

So painfully iconic, I know some people think it's petty but I say that if you've ever dealt with a narcissist you'd understand how GRACEFUL and mature the rest of them were honestly! The final shot with all the random folks on the elephant's back is hilarious, it looks like the sitting one may be Ned, almost looks like Greg Abbot mopping lol, but anyone know the significance behind it/who the tiny people are? I'm so impressed with how well the editing team did with getting a whole moving person totally out like in the kitchen with Keith where the background doesn't look obviously disturbed behind the elephant, and then adding the humor in too. Also I didn't notice how annoying Ned was until it's just Keith, Zach, and sometimes Eugene and Kweisi!
