part 2: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fko42-l_Grw.html edit: y’all. the “i cannot win” comes after the monologue is finished lol. and it’s in part two, so no need to keep commenting about it :] monologues included come from: “lying to have something in common” “fantasy high” this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZW3kw_P7Tvo.html “don’t trash talk nyc” “yes or no” from game changer
I'd look into Fantasy High season 2's deliverance on the subject of Ribbon Dance and Athletics against Ally in the rescue of Adaine. If I recall, it's a shorter rant, but might serve for the start of the video.
Brennan is obviously a master, but can we all just take a minute to appreciate Zac Oyama's ability to interject with utterly inane comments like "whoa dude" that are absolutely perfect?
Zac has some of the best comedic timing I have EVER seen. He is able to say SO much while saying VERY little. His interjections as "Skip" in A Starstruck Odyssey are fucking incredible!
Not just funny, but that comparison is actually pretty great. That dude isn't his warts, they're just a symptom of his sickness. Just like I'm not my anxiety/depression/ADHD, they're just symptoms of my sickness (rather, symptoms of my brain being physically different but whatevs)
Honestly, I think it's funnier to imagine him breaking into a full on monologue in the middle a sketch meeting, while someone else is forced to write it down.
Brennan describes things so weirdly yet so accurately. Even when it's not scripted, he can come up with the most unexpected comparison or insult that is just 100% accurate.
Not gonna lie, I thought this was going to be a single monologue that continuously gets more chaotic, and I was curious to see how far he could go with six minutes.
If he had a whole six minutes to build up, he would start talking about sandwiches and end up ranting about the fundamental constituents of matter being a conspiracy to trick him into massaging God's nipples.
@@charmainearongay6448 Calroy Cruller! It was such an incredible, almost Shakespearean villain's monologue. Some of Brennan's finest work, and on re-watch you can see it so carefully seeded throughout the campaign it leaves you going, "That fcking cake mother fcker!"
I think Zac's perfect timing with the casual "woah dude" in the last one really helped spur on Brennan's dramatic flair and give it a beautiful little spark to get him almost shakespearean in that monologue
You cannot train yourself to perform the task, you must embrace the fury of a burning sun when faced with any minor inconvenience, lash your temperament around it, and be prepared to pop off at a moment’s notice. He’s truly peak New York energy.
I just temporarily shutdown the part of my brain that says “don’t say that” and that’s worked for me so far, of course sometimes it’s hard to flip that part back on.
@@Zom13y See, this is exactly it. There’s a phenomenal power in rounding on a social situation with a crackling “No, you know what? I’m fucking saying what’s on my mind.” energy. Brennan restrains this at all times, and his rants are just people giving him permission to let it out.
it is very moving. idk if this is your first time seeing it or if you’re a dimension 20 fan you probably are but if you aren’t watch Fantasy High Adaine’s story is incredible as someone with anxiety
The gameshow portion at the end had me dying of laughter. That tirade was so unhinged without being incoherent, and the fact that everyone else was laughing made it so much better
Not really one for edits, and I don't even remember leaving this comment. I'm very surprised at how much traction my innocuous little comment here got. I think it's actually my most liked comment of all time. Kinda cool I guess
Brennan's Sweaty Almonds monologue is possibly the most relatable thing ever 😂. I too, am a paper white, constantly sweaty, being. I eat roughly a pound of almonds as often as I can get them
The same as I, but with those horribly buttery mini Club crackers that *have* to be perniciously decimating my arteries one delicious bite-sized snack at a time.
I am most unfortunately, also paper white, sweating constantly, and require constant snacks, but I am allergic to almonds, so I instead go through one single dark chocolate chip at a time
Can we all agree that Brennan is the best addition to CH ever, like ever! This man's range of acting is so professional and authentic. Damn, movie companies hire this guy!
So what do you think the rule is Brennan Brennan "I CANNOT WIN" Sam "That's correct" Brennan "So do I get a crown now" Sam "unfortunately we only have two crowns" Brennan "DAMMIT"
"I would gladly walk on broken glass with bare feet, rather than have a conversation be a lil weird for even a single second" I felt that in my soul😆😆😆
Jokes aside, Brennan's biggest problem as a DM being that he needs to talk and eat from the same hole is incredibly impressive. I'm still trying to figure out how to account for power disparity between characters.
It will never happen, but if for SOME reason a live action adaptation of Baccano (an anime set in 1930's America) is ever made he needs to play ladd russo because I think he's the only human on the planet capable of pulling that man off.
I love how Sam is clutching onto his podium for dear life during the last part. Knowing that if he lets go, he's going to die from laughter. Because Brennan... CANNOT. *_WIN!!!_*
So I'm a ginger like Brennan and I can say that one of the reasons why our hair changes color is due to the weather. When it's dark and cloudy our hair gets lighter and when it's sunny outside for extended period of time it tends to get darker. Why does it do this? I have no idea, but it happens.
jawbone delivering these somewhat dramatic lines of “having panic attacks is NOT a character flaw” and then IMMEDIATELY switching gears to “so anyway i was sucking off this guy” is fucking wild
@@he.said.teenjiejer The way Brennan used that exchange as a way to cure Adaine of her panic attacks (which, in a bit of slightly meta-referencing, Siobhan _had_ put down as a character flaw, iirc) was beautiful.
"Having panic attacks, that is not a character flaw you understand me you are not a coward you have a medical condition" How dare you bring me to tears with exactly what I need to hear sometimes
Ever since that episode of gamechanger I've been waiting for the perfect chance to say "I've solved your labyrinth, puzzlemaster" in context. The moment will come some day.
Drive-Through Worker: Would you like fries with that? Brennan: Let me tell you something about your meal deal… Drive-Through Worker: *sobbing* Please no I’m begging you
“I don’t want to have to come for whatever midrange zip code spawned your country mouse ass after I look up how to roast it in the encyclopedia of places nobody gives a shit about” It is a shame how situationally specific this is, because it’s the best gd burn I’ve ever heard
HOW? How does his brain do that shit? Like… did he know where he was going when he started the sentence? Or did it just keep growing and building as he went along? I can’t even write something that good with a whole-ass day to think about it.
0:38 is still probably one of my favorite Brennan moments. Absolute brilliance, and Siobhan plays her reactions amazingly too there's _no way_ I could react that calmly and believably like she did.
I absolutely love Brennan. If he ever turns up to be a shitty or creepy person I seriously think that will be the last straw in my life and I'll be depressed for a long time. With everything going on in todays world, I just can't take anymore awful people, and I really need Brennan in my life.
The fact that we’ve met his fiancé and she also turns out to, from my POV, to be a wonderful person means that we’re safe from any Brennan horror stories
Brennan did a four hour long podcast on 99 questions and in it it’s expressed that he lives his life to do the most good for the most people and if that isn’t the most selfless kind thing in the world I don’t know what is
The thing is that I'm pretty sure he's safe; he's admitted to being a bully in the past, but looks back on that with deep regret. Plus, if he were, he'd be *dangerous as hell* but everyone around him seems to really like him.
as someone who had their first ever severe ass panic attack last night, hearing Brennan's monologue about panic attacks again was actually really comforting
the change in cadence (I think that's it? Idunno who cares you probably know what I mean) at 4:00 is really awesome, if there's one thing Brennan amazes me with, it's his character acting
Grab the popcorn. I have hours of Brennan monologuing logged inside my brain, so I know even just 6 minutes of it is enough to leave a first timer with such laughter and awe that their smile would widen from ear to ear. Can't spell slaughter without laughter, and Brennan is proof, cause this man kills it every time :D
It must be a little scary to have any conversation with Brennan cause he could just burst out and monologue for no reason. Also the light creatures before the Skekses and UrRu wet the Urskeks
Literally I ran a session last night and forgot to eat any of the snacks I brought (also dinner but shh). After hearing Brennans snack monologue, I feel vindicated
"Unless it had been RIGGED FROM THE BEGINNING" "Whoa, dude" rofl Brennan is amazing and Zac always hits in with those 1 liners which supports him beautifully. Fantastic pair.
I really want to see him in a movie where he plays the character that was assumed good for the firs quarter to third of the film, but ultimately has a psychotic break down and it becomes clear that he was the bad guy the whole time and becomes a joker-like person, but like maybe a little more unhinged
I have no idea who this person is but seeing them operate in such lofty circles as the presence of Matt Mercer, you know they must be a master this was gold
The urSkeks tried to purge their imperfections but instead split themselves into the skeksis and urRu. Honestly, the lore in the background of the dark crystal was super good. Too bad the show didn't get renewed.
The lady across from Brennan made the grave mistake of taking a sip the moment he started talking - and then Brennan took great delight in watching her try to both not inhale it or spit it out from laughter for the next 2 minutes straight 🤣
Whether you find him funny or you just think he is a really good dm; one has to admit that he is tremendously talented at improve and acting. I kinda wanna see him in a show where he plays a serious-ish irishman, maybe something like Gangs of New York.
I have had so many urges to comedically fly off the handle on a whim in my life. Occasionally, I've indulged those urges. It is difficult, not thinking of yourself as a total fucking weirdo, when the entire room seems to agree. And I have been told, reassuringly, by many people, at many times in my life that it is okay to be weird. Brennan Lee Mulligan is the first person in my entire life, who did not tell me through prose or song, but SHOWED me, and the rest of the entire world, that it is, in fact, okay to be weird.
Ive never been able to describe how I do social interactions until I heard "i would rather gladly walk barefoot on broken glass than have a conversation be even a little weird for a single second."😂😭
I don't know why, but for some odd, undescribable reason, Brennan describing NY rats laying eggs in open knife-wounds gave me the largest belly-laugh i have ever had in my entire life.
