I am 100% for kicking with jeans on, if you train to kick with jeans on. I will however say, even if you kick with jeans on, don't throw a roundhouse kick in cowboy boots.
I'm hours late to the party, but I recently had a realization: Karate has become so ubiquitous in popular media that my 6 year old son, despite REPEATEDLY reminding him that I train in Muay Thai and BJJ, always asks me when I leave for the gym: "are you going to do Karate again?" Anything with punches and kicks, regardless of my insistence that I have NEVER formally trained in any type of Karate, is Karate to small children. It's ALWAYS Karate! Same with my son's friends and classmates, I "do" Karate as far as they are concerned. So yeah, I will endeavor to be a shining example of your original discipline, Sensei Seth. I will not let you down, you have my word.
"don't kick with jeans on". This is why I wear jeans that are so stretchy; they may as well be joggers. Also, I wear joggers. My rule is that if I can't randomly squat in them, I'm not wearing them.

Idk if its this but when i heard the kung fu sound I thought everybody was kung fu fighting and those cats were fast as lightning in fact it was a little bit frightening but they fought with expert timing.

Its the groan that gets ya I've been kicked so many time by my students I started to wear a stronger cup but my niece was the worst one she would take out a lot people she faced in events here in OK.
I learn and practice kenjutsu with real sharp blades as my teammates. We learn a lot about area control. Watch before the cut, practice aua cut in safety ways. After a lot of practice (years) we start use our sharp blades for these things. Most of the accidents comes when you take out your sword or when you put it in the saya, cause your attention is not good enough or just your concentrarion level is lower after your fight but... the fight finis after you leave the area, the warzone!

I walk out with my Gi on all the time. Every now and then a weird kid shouts "Hyyyaaaa!", but I just laugh at them. Doesn't bother me. I park right outside the building, so I'm only out there for a minute at most. I live literally a 5 minute drive away. Plus, I'm in the UK, so the place I train is a general assembly hall. No showers or anything there.

That is true that spinning kick looked really good actually for someone who doesn’t seem like they’re training. Unless they do and they were just messing around but then seems like falling on that thing seems unlikely. Maybe he has untapped talent there and doesn’t know it.

The first one with the Marines is actually very real, it's called a diffused strike in law enforcement and it's a strike to the brachial plexus nerve cluster. while that is an extreme example it can actually knock someone out with very little pressure. You strike to the brachial plexus which is near the base of the neck. It's safe to do if you want to test it, but watch where the person might fall.

You can actually kick with jeans on, but it has to be a freaking stretch jeans. And you better try to make splits with those jeans on at home bevore you go for the fancy stuff 😂😂😂
6:05 so we had this one idea... there is this one event, where you go for a swimm in the aare (river) in late november... so idea is, that our group goes in the kimono... so just a group of blackbelts swimming in the kimono while it is -5°C outside...
2:08 I've practiced TaeKwonDo in jeans before, and did not lose my balance. I practice enough kicks, that my legs are strong enough to rip my pants instead, lol. I do not recommend doing kicks in jeans. However, I did find a pair of jeans on amazon that allow for the same flexibility as TaeKwonDo pants (Lee's Extreme Motion).
6:05 I usually have Muay Thai right after bjj so I never wear my gi outside of the gym but I will OCASSIONALLY wear my Thai shorts at the store on my way home. Maybe change into my gi pants at the end of work to save some time
