Love the reaction of the Newcastle No 11 who tackles Smith when he is kicking the ball. True sportsmanship and recognises brilliance even in the opponents.
Very hard if nobody actualy knows the rules, refs and commentator alike.Scoring a try - a player in touch-in-goal who is not holding the ball and pressing downwards is a try.
@@user-fz7yp3xk6w Clearly he caught the ball in flight and grounded the ball whilst holding it. So it does matter very much if he was in touch in goal. He wasn't so the try was allowed. If he had not caught the ball and grounded it by pressing down on it then it would not have mattered if he was in touch in goal.
@@clarke1319 I don't know which one of us you were replying to. But as far as I'm concerned, I don't care if a replay proves my team have scored or haven't scored, as long as they do it quickly. When the video ref first came in I was all for it. They used to have a quick look to check and that was it. Now it seems like they want a program of their own. On many occasions you can clearly see the result after the first replay, but they still insist on looking for more angles - Why? Yes, there may be some occasions when they need to have a look from a different angle, but they still do it even if you can see the players whole body from the first angle. I also think the ref is going to the video too often now. Make a decision for goodness sake. Mistakes usually even themselves out over the season anyway.
