Yeah, I think most people are. Honestly, I’ve never made a white gravy with flour and oil for anything. I think it might just be cultural thing tbh. Most AA’s that I know always do brown gravy’s I’m sure there are some exceptions though.
Personally, I added mine after bc my biscuits are made last and I don’t want the onions to be too over cooked to a point where they start to disintegrate. However, make yours the way you’ve been doing it 😅
If you’ve ever been to the south, especially in a black household, we do NOT make white gravy’s. Look at any smothered dish made in a AA household it’s never white 😅. Make yours how you want it though you won’t get no judgement from me.
@@lifewithmarq I live in the south. I never had a red gravy except tomato gravy. It may just be the angle. I was born and raised in Texas. We have tomato gravy, chocolate gravy, mushroom gravy, and brown gravy made from drippings. But this looked different that's why I asked.
