Yeh people stereotype the old fellas as all boring and brash but most of the men in the north like him will try weird shit so long as it isn't a rip off haha
Whilst two thirds of this corrupted world live in poverty & starvation, we are being blindly trained to become FAT BASTARDS, ultimately to FEED our distorted, financially orientated society with junk/shite food..!!!! Wakey, wakey..!
Love the fact he’s tasting Falafel wraps and Vegan Burgers rather than meat and chicken dishes, being fair across the board and trying out options available, goes to show a true critic at work 👏👏👏
Agree! Extremely likeable, videos go at a nice pace, and I'm fully thinking about getting my own table and chair set. I think the world would be a better place if everyone just randomly had pop up eating experiences
We've only just discovered Danny's channel these past few days and even as a vegan, I enjoy watching these episodes and thinks it's an incredibly refreshing approach to anything new. I haven't been vegan my whole life and I think it's wrong to tell people how they should eat so this is hugely refreshing. I think if you wanted to influence someone to vegan food, just cook them some great grub and invite them round to tea. His comments always seem so incredibly fair too. He seems lovely..
@@FreakHarryPotter I know what you mean but I think the best way to try to influence someone to veganism is to cook them some awesome vegan food, not dictate to what they should be eating as it makes people run in the opposite direction. I appreciate your passion though as I do feel the same x
@@Abspro50 so you know what I mean but you don't know what I mean... We're not dictating, we're just telling the truth. And if I could dictate, that would be right to do that in this circumstance. Animals are literally having their throats slit right now. We need to showcase awesome vegan food AND tell people why they should be vegan and we mustn't leave that out. Otherwise, all they know and see is "I can have vegan food" or "a vegan version" but they don't know why they shouldn't be eating the dead animals or milk or eggs or honey. They don't feel there's any reason necessarily to avoid animal products. No moral reason highlighted because nobody's telling them what's what = much more likely to carry on killing innocent animals. I rest my case.
Like the way you conduct yourself, very polite gentleman. Stumbled across your channel and now a subscriber. It opens your eyes to see how much food is cheap outside of London, almost half price. I think you should try a broad selection of food on offer from the place to show ppl what’s on offer etc, all the best for 100k subs
Absolutely fantastic programme. Always honest, kind and considerate. Forever yearn for the top rated meals! Thanks Danny, keep up with the terrific episodes. Thanks a million.
the 'pickles and onions' are most likely the kimchi, they're a selection of asian pickled vegetables, usually eaten as a side with meals. Love these reviews keep it up!
You should take your table and chair everywhere you go pal. It's well funny watching you set up shop not giving a sh!t. It should be a trademark for all of your reviews.
It's probably a beetroot bun. It's a "weird one", i think because you chose the kimchi burger, which is raw, fermented cabbage, with chilli and garlic, so it's spicy and vinegar tasting. When the camera cut to where you'd chosen to eat it, I laughed. I like your open-minded approach to trying vegan stuff. Keep it up!
So the big guy is tucking in to a Vegan burger while the slim young thing in the background Locks her lips round a greggs pasty. Meanwhile the bemused homeless guy wonders wtf is going on!
I'm vegan also; I live just around the corner from Arndale and I think 8/10 is a fair rating for Wholesome Junkies - not my fav but a nice meal all the same. Shame you didn't try the "This n That" just round the corner from you - £5.50 for a 3-vegan curry & rice combo with onion bargie - so good and filling and cheap. tbf there's a lot of places to get great vegan food in MCR town center
Good on you for giving it a go. Not sure about the raspberry bun though. Surely they didn't need to mess with the bread. Maybe try something else that's a bit more standard lol.
Your channel is brilliant! So great to see some delicious nosh and your accent is so loveable haha! Lots of love mate from a Kiwi in Aus :) Keep it up!
Danny I love the fact that you are trying that burger which looks absolutely delicious right in front of a down-and-out guy to your left. I bet he is drooling, like a waterfall
Curiosity Cola is very nice - the cinnamon/caramel flavours have been turned up a notch (in comparison to Coke Cola), but it is way too pricey! Curiosity Cola is £2 for a 750ml bottle (ASDA), which breaks down to 26.7p per 100ml. Whereas you can buy 2 x 3 litre bottles of Pepsi MAX for £3.50 at iceland - that's 6 litres of Pepsi MAX for £3.50 - which breaks down to 5.8p per 100ml. My rationale is always thus, "Is Curiosity Cola 5x tastier than pepsi max"?...erm, no. Therefore, although Curiosity Cola has a slightly better taste (as they use lots of sugar and turn the flavours up), the taste is not 5x better and therefore does not warrant the purchase over Pepsi MAX....imo. I think Curiosty Cola maybe aimed at the "want to be trendy" consumers - you know the type, the cola connoisseur market (pretentious people), who think they are above "regular" cola and that their discerning palette deserves something more premium. In which case, keep wasting your money👍
@@annonymous3948 in my local Asda Curiosity Cola is usually £2.75, it's only £2.00 when on offer which is when I usually purchase. Coca Cola is my normal go to and I'm partial to a Pepsi. Am I "pretentious"..... hell no! I just like to expand my taste buds sometimes and if that means a drink of Curiosity Cola or Karma Cola then so be it. We are all allowed to treat ourselves once in a while to something different. Thanks for all the info though.
Oh Danny you're the very best!! We need t shirts with now then guys and tastebuds sensation on!! You're so naturally funny with such a fantastic character!! Love how you say camera man a d you're always so polite!! Plus the most important thing your table and chair that you test every time you sit in!! X
Fair play to you for being open minded enough to try something new. Although I think you did try a falafal wrap in Leeds once which is vegetarian. However, I think I would have problems with a raspberry bun, having a sweet bun with a savoury filling is a bit strange.
Having good structural integrity to the bun is so important. So many places go for brioche buns which just fall apart halfway through, and you end up wearing it. I reject the brioche bun.
I don't know if you have the "impossible" burger there but if so you should try it. People say they cant tell the difference. Burger king currently has it. Also a brand called Beyond Meat.
Love & really appreciate this Danny! Especially as you are a butcher! I’m vegan (30+ yrs) but I love your videos from over here in Australia. Wish I knew about all the vegan joints when I was in the UK 3yrs ago. I would love to see you give different vegan takeaway joints a go maybe monthly? 🙏🏻 or meat free Mondays 😉 thank you for being you!
Fair play to you for trying it as a meat eater. There's plenty of vegan food which is is well tasty and doesn't have to be junk. I'd have that though once in a while. Forgot to sub last week - now subbed. Fave place in Manchester when I ate meat was the takeaway at the Chinese Bakery (Ho's) bloody loved the pork buns.
I'm not even vegan or veggie and I love Wholesome Junkies- their nachos and corn dogs are the best. If you ever fancy another trip to Manchester you should definitely go to Archie's if you haven't already, it's a Mancunian institution and they do gorgeous burgers and chips. I've never tried it but you might be interested in the burger with the jet black bun. And if I remember right at the one on Deansgate, there's a cobbled alleyway nearby where you could put up your table. Or at the one near Piccadilly station there's the Manchester Picnicadilly (actually what it's called) picnic area very nearby with a few benches. Either way hopefully you don't have to eat it off the top of a bin. Love your videos, you're a brilliant reviewer, always showing us different styles of food and different takeaways across the country, and it's always great hearing your thoughts.
Love the fact he is so open minded. Love Manchester. Have missed going during the lockdown. Love the world food store on the curry mile. Love stopping down there for a few days. Great Korean store just up the road too. Raspberry bun though. I didn't get that with a burger. Looked great tho 🙂🙂🙂 Danny using a bollard as a table 😁😁😁😁
I was only commenting the other day on his first Burger Video that I'm plant based, but would watch Danny smash any burger any day. And now I find this vid with a vegan burger. Dudes got it all. He could review anything and I'd watch it.
I’M VEGAN!!! I’m raising a vegan daughter and son, my partner is vegan. If you truly care about the animals, I don’t think the approach you used on me is helpful at all, you tried to shame me! Show more companion, we might get people more on our side then against us. You could of replied and said yeah I thought it was great, but have you seen Burger King have just Released a “chicken” burger and McDonald’s also has one if you wanted to try some other vegan food.
@@misss25brighton are you feeling okay hun. Have you tried a doctor? Try ringing first thing, mine is open for morning appointments at 8am and the afternoon appointments open at 2pm. Best of luck love
The guy that replied to me saying it was overrated deleted his reply after I said I was vegan. He was also vegan but being a dick about it, which I pointed out and he took off both of his comments as he wasn’t aware I was vegan. I don’t see why I should remove mine. You look as if you might fit into the dick Category as well. But yeah have a nice day love
@@garygardener2138 Suppose it could have been worse...he'd have been mugged for his watch and camara and the table would have been up on bricks in Liverpool.
Haven't watched it fully yet but bet it's the kimchi, it's fermented cabbage so not my first choice as a vegan. Meat substitutes are probably fair game though.
Loving your vids and as a vegan, I think that was just one if those really weird burgers. Trust me not all of us are out here eating raspberry Burger buns and it's making me queasy thinking about it. Also kimchi has a very weird taste, with it being fermented cabbage, so probably best to avoid that in the future. I hope you do more vegan takeaways as I think you're so sweet and these vids are great. If you're ever in Sheffield, there are some great places on London road to do some vids on (non vegan ones: amigos Mexican restaurant, rassams dessert bar, munchies, potato oven...) (Vegan ones: taco mex, cafe indus, mi dulce dessert bar, or one on abbeydale road called saucy, which is the vegan version of kfc) Hope your channel grows more so more people can appreciate your humour.
Hi Danny, there's another vegan restaurant 5 minutes away from here called V Revolution that does really good fast food, the meat substitutes are much more to the taste of my meat lover friends! You should definitely try there next time you're in Manchester, you can sit down as well!
Hey thank you for trying vegan! Bit weird having a raspberry bun though. I'd love you to try a more regular burger and see how they compare. The thing now is that some fake meats are so authentic tasting people can't tell the difference.
The only edible non-meat food is flafel combined with tahinah salad which is tahinah mixed with lemon juice, diced tomatoes, garlic, parsley, pickles and even some homous stuffed into fresh made Arabic bread ...
As a vegan I commend you for trying it, tasty food is tasty food and most meat eaters are 50 % vegan anyway as they love bread, chips, rice, onions, beans, peas, tomatoes the list goes on and on. I still enjoy watching your reviews as you have a good aura and personality about you
appreciate you giving vegan food a go, if you're looking for some serious falafel and ever in Norwich head up Moorish Falafel Bar. They sell really chunky wraps and chips for around £7.
Bloody Love you danny! This is my mrs's place it's amazing. It's absolutely not flavoured with raspberry the bun though haha just used raspberry for the natural colouring to clear that up haha
