there's a first for everything... right? this is my FIRST TIME trying an epilator!! pain is definitely 20/10 but should I do an update in a month? if you want to try the epilator, I'll have the link here: rstyle.me/+SFZ6PIcAwRtMTIQrlw...
I’ve been epilating my underarms for months now. The first time hurts the worst and after that I barely feel anything. I have very fast growing hair so I like to do mine every other day for maintenance bc it hurts less when you’re just doing a few hairs at a time. It has gotten rid of a lot of the darkness underneath my arms from shaving which is good :) also don’t go so fast. Go over spots a little slower so it can properly grab the hairs and go against the grain :)
I've been doing this since I was a teen (plucked by hand using tweezers) and I barely have any hair under my armpits. You should keep the epilating up. It costs so much less and it's actually a fun process to do on my arms and legs xD
Ive been using an epilator since 2009, I can tell you that the 1st time I used it, I was just like this hahaha now I dont even blink, you rapidly get used to it. I really love it, the skin gets super soft, and the hair stops growing in some areas. I
I've been using epilator for 9 years. If I let the hair grow for longer than 3-4 weeks, it's still hurt quite a lot. Doing it more often is the key to reduce the pain since the roots are not too sticking to the pore. I think.
You need to prep your skin first by putting a little bit of baby powder. It will absorb any moisture/sweat making the process faster because the epilator will be able to grab the hair more easily. I only epilate my underarms and I just want to say that you do get used to the pain and the baby powder really helps!
do you have recommendations for a good machine? cuz i used to use a certain one but it broke and when i bought a new one it would just hurt me (i do have pain tolerance but this one's just too bad) and it doesn't even pull any hair!!!
Looooove the epilator. I see the pain is less painful in some time before my period not when i have pms. Also it helps doing it while showering the water helps to calm it :) also the longer hair i have the bigger the pain xD but!!!!! I stay smooth for like 3-4 weeks and overall less hair is growing each time 😍
I used to epilate under arms and legs back in hs....it was just wayyyy tooo painful and always got irritated. Especially under the arms...kid u not my skin got caught for 2 secs in it and i had a panic attack. Never again 😅😅
theres an easy way: shave and then 1 daylater epilate the tiny hairs that grew back. then next day few more will grow and then u epilate agin. this way u will always only pull little hairs and it wont be painful
I’ve always wanted to try an epilator but starting with the armpits is insane. I would personally start with legs. And then when I go to armpits see if I can have an assist to pull the skin taught to make it more bearable before going full throttle
I would not recommend using the epilator for your underarms until you have trained yourself to handle the pain. An easy way to do that is to start with waxing strips, it removes the hair in one go. But if you do use the epilator, trim down the hair to make it like 2mm long, and push down the epilator onto the skin. The epilator you are using has a little spiky guard that kinda helps with prepping your nerves to receive pain. Overtime, it won't hurt as much. I use it for my arms, underarms and legs below the knee. I am training to start using it on my legs above the knee but that area is wayyyy too sensitive for me.
OMG I WANT U TO TRY THE LUMI?? HAIR REMOVAL THING I BEEN WANTING TO SEE IF IT WORKS AND MANY OF MY FRIENDS HAVE BEEN WONDERING AS WELL (btw love u sm alisha been ur huge fan since like 2015🥹💗)
The underarms 100% get easier after you do them enough!🙏 Can now do them in like 5 minutes with no pain. Literally never going back to shaving my armpits. Ever.
I have epilated my legs before but it has never been worth it. Hairs are definitely coming out but there is always hair that will not come out no matter how many times I go over them, meaning I still have to shave. Afterwards my skin is so irritated from the epilating that is gets red and bumpy, so not smooth at all. I seriously do not know why people would want to use an epilator - seems like a lot of work and pain for something that only makes my skin look worse after hair removal than it did before.
I remember my mum telling me to use an epilator when I was 14 and started shaving my legs because it’s what she had done for years and has hardly any hair. The pain on my legs was enough to decide I would stick to shaving my armpits instead of using an epilator 😭
JUST USE NAIR😭 less painful still removes it from the folicole and last longer than shaving just don't leave it on for longer than 10 minutes i usually leave it on for 5 which is really all you need
@@babylmb THAT IS TRUE although i know nair does have sensitive options! But if they have sensitive skin idk what pain removal tactic would be the safest since an item that rips hair out of your skin seems like it would be very painful even for the toughest skin😭
@@Bella-wz9xw yeah I guess so lmao but it works differently for everyone and I guess some/mosh get used to the pain and are able to increase their pin tolerance after using it a few times
Just use baby powder after that, it soothes the irritated place. Been doing this for years and the pain kind of goes away the more you do it. The hair grows slower, smoother and if you use laser after 24h the hair and skin get waaaaay lighter. You won't even notice that the hair is there..that light. For a record, I am way whiter than you and I have dark dark hair alllll over my body
@@Smaugette she can afford it. Either way it’s better. I haven’t shaved in years! Best decision I’ve made was to do laser treatments. There are some places that can make it affordable. I used to work for one of those places.
