This is coming from a true Mexican, I give you guys props for being open to learning about different cultures and not being afraid to try something new, and doing so respectfully. Peace guys
Hey Vato Locos wassup. You guys are firme. So next time put the Parmesan cheese on the elote and the Chile powder also. Horale. What’s up my Asian bro’s I’m just messin with you all. My kids are Salvadoran/Filipino. Keep up the great work
I'm Mexican and my husband is Vietnamese. He thinks our Mexican snacks are weird. But he's over here trying to make me eat chicken feet and spring rolls with cow intestines. No thank you lol
I'm an asian living in Mexico and I like almost all those refreshments :)) They are tasty. I hope one day you guys make a video about Mexican-Asians, just like the ones of Asian-Americans ;)
Yes, Mexican-Asians are rare but they do exist. The famous Mexican singer Ana Gabriel is part asian herself. Not to mention, an ex-coworker of mine was a this lady from Mexico City who was of Chinese descent. She spoke Toisan like her grandparents but had the heaviest Mexico City accent when she spoke Spanish. Not to mention, when she moved to NYC she was placed in ESL classes but would go take ESL classes with the Hispanic kids instead of the Asian kids. The Asian kids would give her the stank look but she identified with The Hispanic kids more and felt more comfortable with Spanish. Crazy, huh? Goes to show you the diversity of Mexico and Latin America in general.
Lol trust me I been to Mexicali, there's barely any Asians there lol compared to San Diego , and or California, there's way more lol plus u can't tell in Mexico cuz most are like half Asian lol
Nice Video, i love your food videos, and i am glad you guys are moving into different flavors and cultures. Latin food is so good and diverse, you guys should keep visiting different places and try more Hispanic food, this was funny to watch. And i am originally from Argentina, so is good to learn about Mexican weird food!!
Mad respect for you guys, thanks for doing a video on mexican refreshments! Hopefully one day you guys will do one on Authentic Mexican Food too! Looking forward to it.
Lol I Love this! I'm Mexican from the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles 626 so I grew up with a lot of Asian neighbors and best friends. I always tell my family, I wouldn't hesitate to give up our delicious Mexican food for BOMB ass Asian food. My family and I can't get enough of any Asian cuisine. We always have family dinners at a delicious Asian restaurant. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino. We're HUGE Pho fans. I'll give up any American or Mexican food for a big delicious bowl of Pho. Asians have the BEST tasting food.
I feel you lol !! i Love Asian Food Especially Korean and Japanase. Im mexican but dang they got some good ass food !!. i love korean food because just like mexican food they love their spice.
Love your reactions guyssss!! You actually go for traditional mexican food! (which is suuuuuuper rare in english speaking youtube channels) The thing that you called "unfried pork skin" is called "cueritos" and the "elotes on the cup" are called "esquites" (just FYI haha) I'm probably gonna stay up all night watching your videos! You are too cute and funny to just stop!!!
+Ximena Mk entendiste mal. Ellos dijeron elotes on the cob, y off the cob. Los elotes off the cob (o sea, fuera de la "mazorca" ) son los esquites que tu entendiste "on the cup" o sea "en el vaso". En todo México se llaman igual.
Try some good mole, tacos de lengua, tacos al pastor, tacos de asada, posole, tamales, horchata. Good food right there and for desert pastel de tres leches or flan ;) you don't have to it all at once, but try something different each time. :)
Menudo is bomb! Depends on who makes it. I can only eat my mom's. She spend HOURS cleaning every tiny little piece. Some menudo stinks and looks dirty as hell.
Hahaha this was so funny to see, I have so many asian friends and they're scared of mexican candy! This was so adorable to watch cause they actually liked it!
Try peruvian-chinese (chifa) fusion food! Peru has one of the largest populations of chinese immigrants and the largest of south america! There's even a whole branch of popular food dedicated to that fusion called Chifa. It combines the best of both cuisines and it's delicious! There are Chifa's in L.A and almost every peruvian restaurant in the USA or europe serves a few chifa dishes too since the influence is soooo big. Even one of the most typical peruvian dishes (lomo saltado) is the result of that fusion. Try it!
I remember having no idea what to expect when I tried Peruvian food for the first time, and it's so unique and delicious. Nothing beats a good plate of lomo saltado.
Abigail Graf Yeah I love it too! Because of my dad's job I had the privilege of living in a few countries around the world and one of those was Peru from 10 to 14 years old and I only have good memories and remember the food being delicious. When I went back as an adulto I was like 'yeah, I wasn't wrong!'.
I know about peruvian restaurants in L.A but I didn't know about chifas there!! That's awesome!! Chifas here (Peru) are really popular and the food is soooo good!
Cool!! I'm happy you try our snacks :) Also thank you very much for not make any racist "jokes" and just really enjoying the experience this is how you make a "Try food" video. Understanding and respect for everybody! :)
I'm so glad you guys went and had Mexican snacks! Are you guys thinking about going to an authentic Mexican restaurant or going to a friend's house who is Mexican and having some homemade food? If you guys lived in Houston I would totally offer my house and my parents cooking to you guys! In our house we have a saying "our food is your food" and I think most Latin American cultures have the same saying, because our food is just that amazing. lol ^_^ Have fun on your trip!
s/o to y'all for actually trying and finding a spot that actually knows how to serve it up. in comparison to many other videos where they just grab the first thing they think is "mexican".
iOZKERTV Yes but these were authentic Mexican snacks, not main dishes. I grew up in Mexico my whole life, and I have to say, that was the real thing. Never had bionicos, but that's probably from the DF.
I live close to el mercadito (a place with mini markets, outside stores, snack venders, and restaurants. all true to the mexican culture)... and they sell all of this and more! its so good. I go there a lot for the esquite (corn in a cup) and the creamed strawberries! yum yum! ^-^
Rima Torres i used to eat mangoneadas when I was little in Mexico too I'm 25 and they aren't that modern .tostilocos I feel like they are probably been out there for ten years
Every now and then when I feel bad about how things are rightnow for my community I come back to this video and feel so damn proud about my culture and knowing that some people out there appreciate it. Thank you for making this video and it makes me really glad you enjoyed the food. 😊👍
hahahahahaha loved it, these guys are awesome! I think the food was from different parts from Mexico because I didn't know like two of them. But their reaction was so good haha better than the Americans, most of them exaggerate everything
I'am Mexican and it was so funny seeing you guys try these 😂 Btw the "chamango" is actually called a Mangonada but I guess its can also be called that lol. Great video guys!
YESSSSS! This just made my day! Ahhhh! Guys, guys, guys I love that ya'll went out of your comfort zone and tried these hispanic snacks and refreshments. I also loved the guy who would randomly sing. I got to say though, you're pronouncing 'elote' wrong. The 'e' has more of an 'ehhh' sound in the word. So basically you would pronounce it as 'ehhhh-lote'. Other than that, I just love seeing asian guys eating Hispanic snacks/food and drinking refreshments, it's so sexy (to me). Asians and Mexicans do mix crazy shit together but at the end of the day that shit is BOMB! You can't go wrong with Hispanics and Asians. Parents are very similar too. Asian guys speaking spanish, fine by me. Loved this video, as well as all your other vids.
Mexicans and Asians do have a lot in common we mexicans also eat every part of the animal such as chicken feets, pork feets , pork and cow (beef) tail, intestines, stomach, and even the face example.[nana, buche trompa or machitos (which is the testicles of the bull) ... even Fish!! I remember that when my grandma fried fish at home a few of cousins used to beg us for the eye balls or the entire head, I particularly don't like that, but is pretty common] .. we do tend to eat a lot of rice the difference is that even our white rice is fried.(we have the orange rice, green rice or white rice) We eat a lot of beans (not soy bean but still beans) We have both tendencies of spicy food and even raw and dried beef (whick is kind a beef jerky). We eat insects like grasshopper, acociles and even ants and ant eggs. I' really do hate to break your bubble but Mexican food is not only tacos (I admit we eat a lot of them but its not the only food we have) AND HARD SHELL TACOS are NOT Mexican.
I must say I liked this video much more than the "BuzzFeed" one... And there's pleeenty of other food you should try, guys! Not just crappy refreshments :)
Panamá! Why doesn't your cameraman bring you to this amazing country? You can stay free at my home. Well, sorta(I might try to get some foodie knowledge off of you)... Tell him to tell you about sancocho, arroz con pollo, chicheme, ensalada de feria, sao(saus), mondongo, tortilla frita, guacho, patacones, carimañolas, bollo preñao,ceviche, rondón, chupe de mariscos, plátanos en tentación, tamales, bacalao, huevitos de leche, bienmesabe, pesada de nance con queso nacional, yuca frita, chicha de arroz con piña.... you'll love it! By the way, tell him at least he must have tried tamarindo, which is used in one of the things you eat here XD
This was lovely to watch, it's nice to know you guys enjoyed it 😊 there are lots of videos with people trying Mexican candies and such but it gets pretty offensive hearing their comments when they don't like something 😒😒
These guys are so funny xD , this is the first video i watched and i suscribed already. I can sense all the good vibes, and the singing dude is gold too hahaha
My mouth was watery throughout this whole video ^.^ I'm glad they took interest in trying some of the authentics. This type of food would go into the category of Mexican snacking 👍
I love this video so much! You guys should do another one because like you mentioned earlier Southern California has TONS of Mexican and Hispanic restaurants. You should have a Mexican with you so you have a better understanding of what everything is made out of or taste like just like how you do in your other food videos. So glad you love our culture! And I do agree that Hispanic, Latino and Mexican culture is EXTREMELY similar to Asian culture.
NaomiSato 1234 He can't really sing either lmao. I really don't like the cheesy little singing and things they do. However I do enjoy their food episodes and the information.
