I'm waiting for "99% natural ingridients". And then you discover 98% is just water. I aways feel companies that push this "ninety something percent natural" are fishing for idiots, because obviously most of the ingridients used are "natural" in one way or another, like water, oils, vitamins and such, they didn't drop from outer space (although might count as natural then as well), and if an ingridient is synthesized in a lab it doesn't mean it's bad, worse or harmfull. It's just marketing bull crap.

I agree because even tho other affordable brands are great and have been doing great for a while, I feel like elf’s dupes have had people really being like wait I don’t need to pay $40 for this glow? And then realizing that everything else they’ve made is a banger so now you got a bunch of people waitin for elf’s next affordable drop

Madara is a well known brand in Scandinavia. You can get it pretty much in every department store and pharmacy. It's a Latvian brand.

No, it's not supposed to smell yeasty lol. I think it has gotten contaminated at some point. Madara is on the higher end of organic cosmetics in the Nordic area. And that bottle Robert used is supposed to be a bit more lighter feel on skin? I think it's gotten bad.

I'm always seeing makeup from brands I've never heard of on Amazon and wonder if they're any good. So many RU-vidrs make videos titled "trying Amazon makeup!" but it's just Maybelline, L'Oréal and Rimmel etc. what's the point of that?! The eyeshadow looks gorgeous on you and I have to agree with you on the lipstick, in fact I am about to order one myself! 🥰

I bought the Ilia Skin Tint and proceeded to avoid it at all costs despite enjoying everything about it except for its nasty barnyard and bread smell, and I’d found it easy to ignore especially when I’d also discovered Korean cushion foundation in the same period of time

Have you tried the multi chrome liners from glisten cosmetics? Love them. I too love the brighter eyeliners but hadn't been brave enough to try one of the brands I didnt recognise. Love the Barry m ones as they last well and are cheap.

That langhami brand do a beautiful wet to dry eyeshadow duo chrome that really pops. The applicator is a bit pants tho. The eyeshadow pallet threw me back to the 90's, where you would get the pallet with a cardboard backing with poorly printed graphics and maybe the words 'lovely lady eyeshadow' and moulded plastic cover with a price sticker on it. Usually found in a dusty chemist shelf. 💜

I love the lipstick. It reminds me of my first "grown-up" lipstick. It was a frosted pale lilac from avon I snagged from my mom. I was about 10 I think. Good memories.

Beauty forever is a drugstore brand I used to buy at Afro hair shops as a team! They had my shade of foundation while most other drugstore brands were trailing behind, and it cost like £4 back then

I have found some absolute bangers on Amazon of random affordable brands! Like things that have turned into favorites! But it is always a massive roll of the dice, thankfully they’re always around 6 dollars or so 😊 And absolutely yes to the lipsticks! THAT reaction right there, Robert’s reaction tp the lipsticks, is what makeup is all about!! 💜💜

I didn't expect to see Madara cosmetics here! Their products both, makeup and skincare, are hit or miss, but in general I like it. They often do sales where they mark down products if their expiry date will go out soon (they are safe to use and no product is expired, but just a little too short for storing) or products if they have same label issues and they are not maybe visually perfect, but the product inside is fine. So less waste 💚

The eyes and lips are IT! Metallic lipsticks and glosses were and are my favourite things from the '90s. I bet that foundation has gone off. Those "clean" brands often don't have preservatives (or as many), and who knows how long it's been sitting in an Amazon warehouse. I think if you found any redeeming quality in it and bought it from the official store (someone else said they're a brand from Latvia), it might be better. Hopefully it didn't have any adverse effects on your skin.

Genuinely impressed by the eyeshadow palette. Love the first shade of purple you used. Also I think the lipstick is a win. It’s like gloss but not gloss. Love it!
