Hello from Michigan! I'm about 30 minutes north of the Detroit-Windsor border, and about 45 minutes away from Frankenmuth! I loved that this box included lots of Michigan treats as well! I'm proud that our state is home to several delicious beverages, unique dishes and treats! Vernors is a way of life, we use it as medicine when our stomach is upset and it somehow does the trick! You guys must experience summer in Michigan at least once! From Frankenmuth to Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Mackinac Island, Ludington, this state is truly a hidden gem. My family is actually from Canada, about 40 minutes south of the border, so I've experienced many things in this box from both sides! Although there are some things that are good in Canada, I prefer American chocolate hands down! You need to try Sanders, Lindt or Ghirardelli.

Hi from Canada! I consider Bits and bites as the Candian version of Chex mix. You can't get Chex Mix in Canada (or at least where I am in Ontario) so I always stock up when I go to the US. Chex mix is one of my favourite snacks so I prefer it, but Bits and bites are good too! The original flavour is the most common. :)

I'm only just watching this video now so I'm late to the party, I'm from the UK, Norfolk to be precise and me and my nanny collect damson plums every year together, then make our own plum jam from it. It's so good on toast but even better swirled in rice pudding. The jam part of this video was so nostalgic for me. Love your videos so much and much love x

newfoundland (new-fin-land) population is largely british/scottish/irish descendants, the accent, the home made food recipes and the snacks sometimes reflect that! hence the tunnocks :) also my nan sends me some homemade damson jam to me in ontario from newfoundland every year, it is my favourite :)

Always interesting seeing what Canada gets from the US and vice versa. Hawaiian Punch was a staple in my house growing up (the green one was my favorite). Ps: try more emphasis on the New in Newfoundland. Its like Newf-in-lan. When in doubt, say places fast. Lol 🍻🍷

I’m American and grew up along the Canadian border...we used to get Jersey Milk bars in the summers when we went across to the beach. Fun memory!

I'm from Windsor Ontario!! it takes 20 minutes tops to cross over the border. I also wanted to mention its super common for people from Windsor to drive to Toronto as there is much more to do and see in TO!! I go really often.... love your vids!

It’s new found land...not Lin, where I live an island in the North Atlantic just across the sea from. The UK

The trip from Detroit to Windsor takes just a few minutes - by Detroit/Windsor Tunnel that goes under the Detroit River or by Ambassador Bridge. The customs checks take longer than the drive itself. I'm about 30 miles north of Detroit. We joke that we live north of Canada. You can also get to Sarnia, Ontario, Canada via the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, MI. It is about a 45 min. drive north of Detroit about mid-way up the thumb of Michigan.

From Windsor On, loved this video. Totally agree with you about Symphony & Hershey. Before Covid we could get through the tunnel to US anywhere from 15mins to a hour depending on what events are going on in the US. Bridge usually takes longer due to all the Semi-truck traffic.

Cheetos mascot is called Chester Cheetah they use his name Chester in other snacks like the corn puffs

Hershey’s are only good for s’mores, everything else should be Cadbury 🍫

Those Lay's Dorito chips are great and I like the Funyun flavored as well. The Muddy Bites are 1 of my new favorites. They are a little expensive but worth it. Love your shows Alex and Kate! Back in the day, the Jersey Milk wrappers did have brown Jersey cows on them. I'm from Nova Scotia and here in the Maritimes when we pronounce Newfoundland,it sounds out like Newfandland with no pauses. Keep making those wonderful videos! :)

Walkerville Brewery is in Windsor Ontario where J.P Wisers and Canadian Club whiskey is brewed. Both breweries are located in the neighbourhood of Walkerville which was settled by Hiram Walker! Also Windsor is a short bridge/tunnel drive to Detroit. I also believe it is the busiest international border crossing.

Its about a 15 min drive from windsor to detroit over the bridge...and if you go north of windsor there is another town called sarnia and they have 2 bridges connecting to port huron michigan...then the next crossing is niagra falls

Hello from Michigan! I live in Detroit and can tell you that Windsor ON Canada is only a bridge away from Detroit 🙂. Windsor is just across the Detroit river. The bridge is the Ambassador bridge. Sarnia ON Canada is roughly 60 miles north of Detroit and you can cross into the US via a bridge crossing the beautiful St. Clair river. The bridge here is the Blue Water bridge. The US city you cross into is Port Huron, Michigan 🙂

English, Irish and Scottish treats are popular in Newfoundland (Newfoundlander here :D) because we were once the oldest British Colony, until we gained Dominion status in 1907. Then we joined Canada in 1947. Most of Newfoundland culture and language is still very British and Irish as are most of our people with small populations of Spanish, French and Portugese from the old fishing days and of course we cannot forget our indigenous peoples the Mi'kmaq, Innu, and Inuit.

You should plan a trip to the Calgary stampede, it’s 10 days in July every year (besides this year). Each year they come out with new and unique carnival food! Last year some of the new items included deep fried ice pops, flamin hot Cheeto corn dogs, cotton candy mini doughnuts, rainbow deep fried Oreos, deep fried twizzlers, and with the raise in popularity a lot of vegetarian carnival options are being offered!

Windsorite here! Driving between Windsor and Detroit is about 15-20 minutes if the lines at the border aren’t crazy! A lot of people cross daily for work, errands, etc (groceries, gas) and a lot of people have friends and family on both sides!
