That intermission was honestly more disturbing than 'humorous', it sounds very unsettling like someone was being 'hurt',, Nonetheless I still enjoyed watching your video, it was very soothing.
I know, it sounds super worrisome and the first times it happened I contacted my landlord. But it’s three college girls living above me and they always do that at night, I think they just drink a lot and get super loud😂
Wow, I thought these were children running around and being yelled at. Knowing these are probably drunk college girls is somewhat more reassuring. Still, hope they are alright and not getting into physical fights! But overall, a lovely soothing colour swatching there haha
L. R. Hi, I just wanted to say that I am the lucky owner of several of your paints and I absolutely LOVE them! I have ordered from you a few times now and will definitely be back for more. Thank you for creating such beautiful paints for us to paint with!
3 things : The watercolors look so cute, they even look edible LOL Your neighbours are crazy and sadly I had some like that in my building I don't know how this is even possible, but it seems like I have a crush on that painting
Bless ur soul for reviewing handmade water colours. They’re so appealing and it’s so awesome to be able to see how they work ( since they are a little more pricey ) , but also it’s super helpful to those sellers. 🌸
When I heard the intermission, I had to pause the video because I genuinely thought it was my own neighbours. They're a young couple with a 6 month old baby and they constantly party. my housing units don't share a landlord (each place is individually owned) so we don't have anyone to complain to. We did make many reports to the police during this pandemic as gatherings in my country is banned for the time being but they kept inviting people over and having parties. They're fine when they're sober but holy hell do they piss us off when they have loud parties, slamming doors, screaming etc. Our houses are connected by a wall, so literally everything they do, we can hear and feel (e.g. house shaking from door slamming). This is coming from a 23 year old who enjoys a good party but unlike them I'm more considerate of my neighbours around me. *small rant over haha*
I LOVE her style of using watercolors and I wanna use more of it too cause I feel like I'm too heavy and perfetionistic myself haha!! She's a role model to me :D
I have to recommend “In Liquid Color” for those who want to learn and be entertained as they are instructed about paints and pigment properties of watercolors! Denise even has palettes at DaVinci paint company! I would love to find out your opinion of her Earth friendly palette? She paints wildlife and loves earth tones too! I enjoyed watching your video and hope that you experiment with these and other watercolors too! I just really enjoy watching watercolor painting videos, and you are a joy to watch in your videos !
what a charming little watercolor set! I really love seeing handmade products where the amount of effort and skill that was required to make it really shines through. It's amazing what people can do. Same with the painting you made, it's lovely! Might save up for a set of these paints for myself, especially after you spoke so highly of them; I trust your artist opinion lol
I checked her shop and ooooh man she has some beautiful cool/muted tone pallets 😩🖤. But ooof I feel you on the loud neighbors before I moved I heard the family always screaming and I could hear their kids run around I’m so glad I moved lol
Thank you for promoting small businesses :) Im also an etsy seller (4 shops to be exact) and a positive video like this will make a sellers shop explode! AND BEAUTIFUL SKETCH!!
has anyone suggested mission gold watercolours to you? Particularly the pure pigment sets? They are renown as vibrant professional quality watercolours that don't granulate or move around much. You might get along with them well if you want to transition to traditional watercolours more.
Your painting turned out so gorgeous honestly!! 😍🥰👏🏻👏🏻 I love the lighting and layers that you did so well.💜 These paints that you picked are seriously beautiful looking and I actually have the Mayan green from Poems and it’s genuinely one of my most favorite colors ever! 😍🎨 So dark and moody but lively as well! 👌🏻💚
I would love a video about learning more technical watercolor skills. I have been trying to learn as well but have no idea where to start. Beautiful painting btw :)
heyy I’ve been following you for a little over two years now (i think) and i just wanted to tell you: you’re such a big inspiration for me and i started watercolour painting after watching your videos ^^ The painting in this video turned out lovely, as always, i love how you lay down colour (especially for skin tones) Hehe 💞💞
Savannah how do you like your paints? I'm thinking of ordering some but several in this thread said they look chalky? Was that your experience? They look absolutely stunning to me....
Handmade watercolor can sometimes be good quality despite being less expensive. The only thing I cant stand is when they name the colors like they are eyeshadow pallette such as "Frost Vanilla", "Red Velvet". Idk I just want the color's name to be more informative like normal watercolor not some cheesy madeup names.
Same. I don't like lifting either. I have the white nights watercolor and it was frustrating because of the lifting. But I changed to winsor newton and it lifted less.
I think it would have been best to remove the audio during that "intermission", it wasn't necessary for the video and as you can see by the other comments, was really off-putting to many people, myself included. I'm sure it must be very annoying (you hearing that in your home) but I can't imagine they're having a great time either.
There are some artist who loves silence like me, although I did not admire the intermission maybe that's just me but the art is priceless. It is beautiful!
New subscriber!! Edit: I am getting the kuretake gansai tambi watercolors there were supposed to be here by now but a few days ago, I got a message that it was returned back to Japan because of the current situation. I was so upset!! But thank goddess it's coming by the end of May!! And I'm so excited!!
I’ve had plenty of inconsiderate neighbours before, and that didn’t sound like the ‘fun and drunk’ kind of screaming, it may be wise to in the future keep an eye on things, especially during the current lockdown - domestic violence has sharply risen globally (you don’t have to be romantic partners to be a victim of domestic abuse). I’ve lived near plenty of women, especially young, that I would frequently hear screaming, sobbing, and yelling, and whilst they ‘seemed fine’ typically whenever I reached out to them it would turn out to be domestic abuse and they felt trapped. Most people would do nothing and just find the constant noise annoying. So please, be more empathetic to your neighbours and see if everything is okay. Other than that, the handmade paints look absolutely gorgeous, and your painting is stunning, it’s always relaxing to see you painting portraits. 💛 Have you considered doing portraiture of some other subjects? I feel like your loose and feminine style would work great for children’s portraits, as they tend to have the same feminine and rounder features that women have and it wouldn’t be too far out your comfort zone. Sorry for the unsolicited advice, just thought it’d be nice to see you branch out a little 🙈✨
God bless you that you did something to help those women. I used to hear stuff like that when the bar was pen around where I live, but I thought it was mostly drunk people.
Hi Sara! Do you have an update on the limited palettes you created using these paints? I'd love to see a video on how you organise and use your watercolour collection ☺️
I don’t understand why everyone thinks it sounded like beating screaming? Like if you’re getting beat the screams are much shorter and tear filled. That was obviously “we’re drunk and having fun” screaming.
You know, I think more texture in your paintings would add some more visual interest especially when you work with what happens naturally with the paint.
What are the individual containers (not the tin) that the watercolours come in made out of? I'm trying to be more sustainable and looking for better watercolour brands.
Almost every company dealing with pan watercolours use plastic. Lol I have never seen anyone NOT use plastic. Pans are almost always in contact with water and rust will harm the paint. There are just some things you can’t avoid.
