My dad did a similar thing about me going into programming vs being a lawyer like he wanted. He always said computers were just a phase and that I needed to get a real degree and a real job. 😂 Now I make more than he ever has made and he is in an elderly home alone with no one and he begs and cries for me to see him. I just laugh and hang up. Don’t be a dick to your kids or you’ll be alone in a cheap retirement home getting fed gruel and shitting yourself.

What do I think? Your dad doesn’t know what he’s talking about, you’re clearly talented. As for your talent, you’re really not anything special (that’s coming from a person who can’t draw even a proper circle) why I said so? Because I’ve seen people do way better, your art doesn’t really scream unique to me, they’re many out there that can do the same and many who can do even better( way better) but hey guess that’s just life. Again, you’re talented but in the sense of uniqueness and ‘overall talent’ you’re mediocre.
