Danny as far as price you are correct about Vegas. Everything used to be cheap here because it catered mainly to gamblers and the casinos offered the cheap food , drinks etc to get gamblers in. Now that it is a huge mainstream tourist , meeting and convention destination everything is a big rip-off.
It's called greed. It happens all over the country in any situation. It's been going on for a very long time. Some people give it a polite name: "Inflation".
The same happened in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. A big tourist attraction that still brings in load of people, but everyone got greedy and prices of everything soared to being ridiculous. Milking it to all it is worth and the tourists get gouged.
Danny getting the full Vegas experience: high prices, trendy "recommended" spots that are actually LA franchises, indifferent service, weird people, mobility scooters rented by people who don't need them... Once Vegas stopped being for gamblers and started catering to LA people who want pool parties, hipster food, and the "baller experience," it's become kind of an overpriced mess.

Travels all the way to Vegas...to get L.A. hot dogs 😖 You need a food guide on your next USA trip. Tacos El Gordo is where it's at. So many buffets! Prime rib for $20-25!! Excellent Asian cuisine not far from the Strip. Gordon Ramsay, Bobby Flay, Martha Stewart all have restaurants there. Also, Campos in L.A. is B-level Mexican food at best. Juniors for BBQ in NYC?? I mentioned this before the trip, so many great places to eat in Vegas not in the middle of tourist traps, but nope, went to the touristy places rather than where the good food is.

I'm not sure who's telling him to go to some of these places! I bet all those folks that told him to go to an L.A. hot dog spot were from L.A. Half of everyone you see is from there. There's a very good BBQ spot 10 mins off strip called Rollin' Smoke. Popular and highly-rated. I wish he'd take time to reply and comment on his videos.
He was in his van when he gave the tribute to the Queen at the start of the video. So he must already be back in the UK. You will have to wait till his next US tour.

Danny, or anyone reading this please who has experience with Hotdogs in USA, can anyone tell me if they are like the sausages like a proper sausage - similar to German ‘wurst’ where the sausage has texture & amazing taste, or are they like the big hotdogs that come in a jar, in a salt water brine, the ones that need no chewing, resemble a dog’s lipstick? (Sorry for that - hopefully someone will know what I’m on about). Many thanks in anticipation - I’ve wondered for years.
We have a few different styles of hotdogs. Most are the jar type that you're referring to, which are mostly made with subpar parts of the animal but some hotdogs are high quality and have a nice snap when bitten into versus the squish that the jar ones you're referencing have. But some are 100% beef, turkey etc and not filled with fillers. We do have brats, sausages and kielbasa but it's usually mentioned on the menu or catered to a certain area based on tradition. 99.9% of the time when you hear "hotdog" in America it does mean a squishy lackluster flavored filled casing though.
Hot dogs and sausages are different but both are good. You can eat a sausage by itself but you wouldn't want to eat a hot dog by itself. But when you put a hot dog in a bun with good mustard or chile on it (or both) it's very good.
best simple hotdog, nathans in coney island but in LA on the street people sell cheap hotdogs with all the trimmings, very tasty. Flavor profile is not like a wurst or brat, less taste of sausage and more of a beef flavoring. Natural casing hotdogs are top tier salty deliciousness with a snappy bite. In the USA, the hotdogs do not come in jars like other countries but in a plastic case with very little brine and found in the cold section of a supermarket. Depending what brand you buy, the best flavor comes from 100% beef, nothing else that is mixed with chicken or pork is good.
I love seeing Danny living his best life! And TBH 2 Five guys hot dogs with all those toppings could come up to about/around £18-£20 quid in the UK...But overall both expensive
When you go to Vegas you go to an out of the way eatery off the strip and you won't pay these tourist trap prices. I'm sure London has places like this too, every city does.

I might try a hot dog from there the next time I’m in Vegas Danny. Food was a lot cheaper in vegas 10 years ago but because of the incline of tourists and not gambler’s the cost of food has reached ridiculous prices.

For real hotdogs go to Denmark , After your back from the US a Euro tour would be great. Bratwurst in Germany, Mussel and frites in Belgium , Real Turkish Kebaps, Hungarian Goulash in a bread roll.
The U.K. hasn't really embraced the Hot Dog as much as it should have done. It's more of a food that they sell in stands outside football grounds as much as anything ⚽
