It would be good to see you Danny visit Japan and see what the Japanese make of you, when they see you sitting down with you’re table and chair in downtown Tokyo. 🇯🇵
I feel like Japan and Korea would love seeing Danny sitting outside a restaurant just enjoying the food and culture. And like someone said, if he can do it in the middle of NYC and LA, he can do it in Japan/Korea etc. Also, sorry for being a year late on this one - I'm catching up on old videos since I only found the channel about a month ago :(
I think that guy was insulting Danny. I couldn't hear that guy clearly but I think he told Danny that he has a big gut and that Danny looks like he's stuck in the chair. That guy's body language is another indicator of his bad attitude towards Danny. Danny handled that guy's remarks well and that guy just moseyed along to insult some other random stranger.
@@wmtrader I turned the volume up and listened to it a few times. I don't think he was throwing insults, but he was a little condescending and trying to act like a badass.
@@Linda7647 at 12:00 guy goes " kansas?" as if wondering if danny is from kansas danny says : "you like me? how are you doing? all right? yeah good?" guy says" Stuck? Stuck?" like an asshole danny replies just: "yeah yeah.." Guy mimicks him. That guy was a straight up asshole, he probably hates his life. And tbh he shouldnt even be talking shit when he is literally the same size as danny..
Now then Danny, sending you and your family tons and tons of love all the way from India! Absolutely adore your personality, you're a proper gentleman at heart and a kindred spirit. Could you please try coming down to the Isle of Wight sometime an have a sundae near the costal cliffs? No one in the world reviews our island and it's the best place in the world. Cheers, I love you!
3:05 Thought we had fallen into Twin Peaks for a second there! That was so nice of the guy to give you a fresh hotdog just because the topping had slipped to one side. There's a guy who takes pride in his work!
$38.80 for 3 hot dogs and a bottle of water before a tip? Unless those japanese dogs were flown in on flight in a first class seat, that's quite a rip-off.
Hello Danny, its nice to see you over here spreading your positive vibes.A little education on Tipping in the USA, Tipping in the last few years has gone insane, everybody that serves you food or a drink wants a tip, its pure Greed nothing more. The only people we are expected to tip in the food industry are Restaurant servers, the reason for this is they are legally paid less than minimum wage, so the tip makes up their hourly wage, a good server gets a good tip and a bad server gets less, its that simple. All fast food servers get a decent wage, they do not need to be tipped, passing you a burger or a drink does not earn them a tip, its a cheeky soft rip off, some of these coffee stands are paying over the top fabulous wages and benefits.
Danny, you have to come to tour Canada. you can try lobster sandwiches on the East Coast and them come all the way west to Victoria on Vancouver Island and try some beautiful west coast fast food... Let me know if I can help out lining up a sponsor for your trip
And then there are the Halifax donairs, cod tongues, and the shawarmas of Ottawa. Reputedly more and better shawarmas here than in Beirut. Many of our restaurants are run by Lebanese. I know you love donairs and shawarmas, Danny. Montreal bagels and smoked meat. Naniamo bars, indigenous bannock. French Canadian meat pies (tourtieres). Poutine (chips and gravy on cheese curds). Butter tarts. Nun's fart pastry.
Ain't no way anybody from England is going to Canada the state of that country is horrible, we don't care about covid you lot need to stand up to the bullshit
As a Geordie that's been living in Leeds the past 10 years I'm amazed at your communication skills 😂 It's a hard life in Britain, never mind communicating abroad!
that's one of the reasons i really like watching vids like this U.S. series because you can hear how dramatically different the accents are. i knew a guy from argentina who learned american english as a second language he said the first time he heard a british accent he didn't even realize it was the same language!
It's awesome seeing you checking out the area where I grew up. I wish I were there to show you some of the lesser known places. There are some hidden gems that a lot of visitors don't know about.
To be fair... I think Danny isn't used to the Nori - it is very very salty and takes some getting used to, and it obvious Danny hasn't. If Danny had been accustomed to Nori it might have been a higher score (although I agree the price was likely high, and yes I know its touristy area).
The Tour is a great idea Danny it's hilarious seeing the blank look on these American faces. Also great to see takeaway style food from around the world from the POV of a British chip shop enthusiast. Find me a killer fish supper in every country even if you have to go to a hotel or a fancy restaurant. I want crispy batter, huge fish, chips and a dipping sauce, and a little something to wet the whistle!
looking good Danny 😜 But not sure if you noticed that in the USA that you may get five ones instead of a fiver, that's so you can tip using the ones lol
Love you top bits Danny but I think you score was a little unfair, the service was fantastic, the prices are about what you would pay in say Covent Garden so considering where you are the prices were not that bad, I think to score on your personal preference rather than the quality was a bit harsh. I mean if you order seaweed and dont like it isnt really that fair. Sorry mate.
This man needs to loose weight! He has ballooned up beyond recognition! It’s probably comforting eating since Carrie passed away. My heart goes out to the kids. Come y’all let’s champion Danny’s health! I’d love to get as much support as possible because at this current rate it could be game over Danny! #dannygethealthy
OMG Priceless Danny….. I almost died laughing with you and the poor Japanese guy bringing you the hot dogs 🌭 I think he was afraid of you 🤣🤣Keep going Danny and crew these videos are hilarious as always ❤️❤️
I was born and lived most of my life in the United States and I never in my life heard of tipping at a street vendor you're only tip at a sit-down restaurant what is going on?!
That is absolutely bang out of order that the server mentioned tipping let alone showing a screen right in front of you to tip. These people should be paid fairly in the first place
Bit different to England matey,at least you get to look at the views and not just the gorgeous women lol, enjoy yourselves lads, this is fantastic wish I could afford to go.
It would be great if you can some how find a English fish and chip shop but apparently America as loads I've seen them on RU-vid and apparently it meant to be and taste the same but for an American they aren't going to know any different but if a Englishman goes walking into one you will know how accurate it looks and tastes.
Sitting here in Futtsu-shi, Japan and a 31 year Japan resident, my partner and I found this hilarious (not laughing at Danny!!)! Both of us were sitting here saying in Japanese the equivalent of 'what the hell is a Japanese hotdog?'! There again, why not! Food is innovation! However, why the hell they haven't corrected their sign to be 'Kurobuta' (literally, black pig= 黒豚) on the one that is misprinted is beyond me, but oh so typical! The top one is wrong and the one below it is correct. Good luck to them though! You really should have gone for the 'tacoyaki combo' though! 'Tacoyaki' is a very well known Osaka street food. Found now all over Japan, especially at street vendors at festivals etc.. It is octopus in batter and rolled into a ball as the batter hardens.
Hey Danny Boy... Big Hello from Costa Del Leeds, In West Yorkshire! Great tour btw. Can't beat a true Yorkshireman in California... When you come back to Costa Del Leeds, if you need a bit of company on one of your takeaway visits, I'd love to join you... I'll have my Onslow vest ready and bib as one is a bit of a messy eater. Keep up the great work! Darran from all the way from Costa Del Leeds :-)
Watching this video series, seeing the totally ridiculous prices bordering on rip off, has put me off going to USA 🇺🇸. 25 dollars for a sandwich, or 10 dollars for a tiny amount of fruit is crazy. Wouldn't be so bad if they made it into a fruit smoothie with loads of ice , but the prices are stupid. On top of that, most pla es EXPECT a 20% tip on top... What we are all waiting for is for Danny to go to a smokehouse for ribs, sausage, smoked brisket and steak.. thats what WE want to see, or at least I want to see!!!
I guess tipping culture takes you getting used to. In the States we would never tip somebody at a stand like that or a food cart. Unless they bring it out to you.
North Carolina native...I get it. This is a total by product of the subpar administration in our White House now. Will not get political. Enough said. The US folks would love to have you visit.
you need to do a little more thinking. that katz deli sandwich can literally feed 2 dudes or 3 girls. this hot dog is on SANTA MONICA PIER, a large tourist spot. you wouldnt tip 20% at this place most would tip $0-$3 max. at the hot dog stand mcdonalds still sells $2 burgers. there are happy hours and specials and places in every city with $2 beers and $6 appetizers
I've been to Japan many times and I have a lot of good things to say about Japan and the Japanese, but friendly isn't one of them. Polite, yes, but genuine friendliness, nah. They're all about business. They opened up for tourism years ago for the tourist dollars, but, if they didn't need those extra tourist dollars, they would rather still make it hard for foreigners to enter their country. They like to keep to themselves. They're not really hot with foreigners, and thats saying it nicely.
Danny I'm goin through a lot of shit at the minute, my heads absolutely fried, but whenever I watch your videos mate you make me laugh and for 20mins i forget about the outside world. Them poor lads dint understand a word u said it fuckin cracks me up everytime. God bless you mate. X
Those Japanese lads were permanently confused. They had no idea what you were saying and just made educated guesses as to what you were asking and answered accordingly. Funniest video I've seen from our Danny in ages.
That was funny! You didn't see the sign that said it was the end of the famous Route 66. The fruit salad tates better with lime and the spice. That was jicama you ate. It's supper yummy cold and with lemon and hot sauce! 😋
In fairness, anything that needs strong tastes like lemon and hot sauce added to taste 'super yummy' clearly doesn't taste very good in the first place! 😂
