So Aislinn, if you have been using it for a month, how many pumps would you say you have gotten out of it so far? How many more does it have do you think? Because like you said it is a big investment upfront. Love to see what your continued thoughts are as time continues, and when you get to the end of the 1st bottle.
Hey Aisling, fellow heavily processed hair girl from Australia 🌈😊 I’ve been using K18 in my hair for close to 6 months now, I was a model for the product when it was released here in Australia. The rep recommends adding a spray of water to the product and lather up before putting on your hair you shouldn’t need anymore then 2 pumps with your extensions 💜 I’m still on my first bottle also! I still use heat protection afterwards but that’s it my hairs back to growing like crazy 🥳🌈
I’m coming up to my 6th wash with this, can’t believe how much better condition my hair is, if you’re undecided on dropping the cash on this, this is your sign, buy it you won’t regret it!
Ooh thank you 😊 I have bleach damage and my hair is so bad but I really want to give this a go! The price was making me hesitant, so to know this has definitely changed things! I’m excited to try!
@@rachaelbusby3940 honestly my hair almost feels like a different head of hair, they also have smaller sample sizes if you wanted to try the product out before you buy the full size and you really don’t need much at all as the product goes a long way and it is also very concentrated!
The best hack people don’t know about this product is after you apply and wait the 4 min, you use your normal hair mask/conditioner. It adds the moisture. Heavenly!
Yesss, a follow-up is DEF needed!!! As soon as you showed the "after" when it was blowdried, I noticed the shine RIGHT away! $75 is ridiculously expensive!!! I love how that turned out. Still loving the hair colour!!!❤❤
L’anza healing treatment! It’s about half the price of what you used - and you can get a travel size for around $15 or less to try it out before you purchase the full size.
DUDe, I bought this stuff from y hairdresser and it is LIFE. My hair was destroyed from me bleaching it myself and this stuff has saved my hair. All my friends want it now. Expensive but SO worth it. You can get it cheaper if you have a license.
Kerastase has an overnight repair that works wonders. It's kinda pricey but well worth it. One or two pumps on my thick curly hair and in the morning it's soft and much more manageable. Great for 2nd or 3rd day hair.
It’s the 8 hour hair mask. It smells amazing and is great for 3rd day hair…. But if you’ve straightened your hair, it WILL curl it or undo any styling you’ve done.
I’ve been using it for around a month now and like it! Still don’t know if it’s worth $75. I use it with all my xmondo hair care products let my hair air dry and it feels really nice 🖤
Sally has a a product called Ion Repair renewing night creme. You put it on at night then style as normal. The ingredients are very similar. It's around $7 last time I checked. The one thing I don't care for about it is the consistency/texture of the product but it works
**pump flies out** Aislinn: “Did you see that!?” Me: “that’s like $5 you just lost!” Aislinn: “that’s like $5 that just shot on the fuckin floor right there!” 😂
Honestly $75 is WILD for such a small amount. You can get a gallon of olaplex for cheaper 👀 I usually use olaplex bond repair and leave in treatment (along with my other hair care products) and the difference in my hair is amazing
Yyeessss so glad you did this! K 18 has been catching my eye but I just can't justify $75. I would love a follow up vid :) ❤ love the color!! The fade out is gorgeous 🧡
I can really recommend Shu Uemura, essence absolue oil! I don’t know if it’s available in the US but have a look if you can order it online. It’s the best thing I’ve tried and I’ve tried EVERYTHING 😅
Haven't even finished watching yet but had to take a second to say damn this makeup though! Your makeup is always amazing but something about this look is just wow! A little different and I love it.
I’d like to see you try the fanola bond connector sealing cream - it comes in a bottle and in a tub (the tub is 1000ml and is currently $35 on Amazon - super sad bc when I bought it it was like 60. The tub lasts a long time - it’s been almost a year and I’m still not halfway through.) it’s an in shower treatment and really helped my hair when it was falling out bc of over-processing (my fault), so it would be really cool to see you try it!
i use Garnier fructose moroccan sleek oil treatment on my hair and also on my daughter's bleached damaged hair and it has helped so so so much!!! and its like 6 bucks and a lil goes a long way
Hi, I used Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner it had similar results it made my 3 year bleached hair silky and so soft, and it is not expensive I think it was $9 for 8oz. It is more like conditioner, you have to wash it off but I really recommend it!
I know you don’t wear your hair naturally curly but I REALLY want you to try the Curlsmith bond salve. That’s what I used on my bleached platinum blond hair and I love it but I don’t do nearly as much to my hair as you do.
I've been loving the Redken All Soft Mega leave-in if you haven't tried it before. I usually just use a pea size for my shoulder length hair and a quarter size for longer hair, and it makes my hair feel soooo soft. I personally feel like my hair feels just as healthy as it was before bleaching xD.
I love your videos , especially when you don't follow the directions 😂😂😂 says use one pumps and continue to work in the tips and then Move up and you immediately start using more and start at the root . I love it
@@AkaAislinn thank you for your video. I have had one of the toughest day in a long time. And that one comment about wasting 5 dollars on the floor made my night and made me smile . You have the same sense of humour as me. Thank you so much aislinn xxxx
I can attest to this stuff. It is LEGIT! I use the spray for pre services and the cream for after but it is amazing. I hope they come out with additional products. Olaplex is amazing but I am allergic to some of the ingredients so I can't use it 😔 😢
I think the price is reflective of what’s in it I use a lip balm from dermalogica that’s £25 and there’s only 1.75ml. That has peptides in it too. Also this product you’re using comes in different sizes with different price points
Before I went to get my haircut the first time, I had major breakage and had to get my hair cut to the length the breakage was then my hair started growing incredibly fast, I just recently got my hair cut again to a shorter length. I’d like to try k18 very soon when I get the money, I’m not to worried about the price, if it’s amazing it’s amazing lol
I sometimes use Ion Reparative Leave In Spray. I found that it makes my hair feel really soft and looks so nice. I just do my normal shampoo & condition. then after i get out the shower, i spray it on my hair, and massage it in. x3
You used way more than I do (I was scared about making it sticky, the instructions kind of warn against too much) and I’m wondering if I should use more. I suspect I may get a better result with more pumps. I also use the K-18 spray when I bleach my roots.
Hmm I'll stick with Aphogee products at Sally's. 2 step protein treatment, keratin restructuring spray, 2 min keratin treatment, or texture treatment. They're all good.
There's a smaller size for a lot less money, but it depends on how much hair you have and how long it is, since I need just one pump for my current hair length.
This looks amazing! I recently started using the Revolution Plex range which is much more affordable and I find that makes a big difference to how my hair looks and feels. I buy the pack of four products which contain an bond building pre-treatment, shampoo, condition and styling cream. You don't need much of any of them and my hair loves it. I think I paid £28 (UK money) for the four products but I've had them for ages and still only half gone. I think it's their "dupe" for Olaplex but I've never been able to afford that so I can't compare
I just ordered the 5ml travel size of it. I can’t get myself to buy the full size if it’s not for my hair. I love that your hair responded to it so amazingly so why wouldn’t mine?
I've never used K18, but I did use the "It's a 10" Products the last time I had a chemical city from bleach (5 years ago) The salon I went to advise the spray and miracle cream and while they are a little pricier that Aussie or something like that they are very reasonably priced for salon products and for sale in several stores now like publix, Walgreens and walmart etc. I'd love to know how it compares to the K18.
Was literally thinking I need something like this for my hair and wondering how much it was. Once she said the price I instantly switched to my hair doesn’t need it haha
Its the same price as olaplex and as someone whos been using olaplex for a year this seems way more economical for me ! and olaplex while expensive is already so worth it
i LOVE THE K 18!!!!!!!!!! iworth every cent i mean it. we have it where iwork so i get to buy it at cost price, and i would still buy it if i had to pay full retail .. it;s expensive but you use so little
They claim they are the first ones with this technology but it sounds a hell of a lot like olaplex to me. I definitely believe products that have the technology to repair the bonds in your hair, like olaplex does, actually do work. My hair is proof of that. 2 years ago I had a double process bleach to remove the mahogany brown color I'd been dyeing my hair for years and it super compromised my hair. My hair felt crunchy near the top of my head, which I just thought was hair spray from being styled, I spritzed it with water and when the hair got wet it just wiggled up on its own, was so strange seeing my hair wiggle up like a worm, turns out that crunchy feeling was all the fried ends of my new shorter hairs growing in. So I immediately did an olaplex treatment and left it on overnight. When my hair was wet it felt super gummy and looked like ramen noodles. After about 4 or 5 olaplex treatments over the next couple of weeks and lots of deep conditioning, my hair finally felt normal again. It totally saved my hair. So I definitely believe they can work, but I just can't see spending 75 dollars on such a small amount of product, nope nope nope. I'll stick with Olaplex.
@Danii H I'm just going by what she said in the video when she was reading the box. She said it was the first product to use it. I had not looked into the product at all, it just sounded like it did the same thing as olaplex with what she was reading. I just looked it up now though so now I know it's not exactly the same but it is similar. This seems to be a better fix than olaplex from what I just read as it actually repairs the inside of the hair permanently vs just temporarily gluing it back together like olaplex does.
You can get better results with Aphogee 2 step protein treatment. I didn't see a lot of scientific backing for K18's claims, even after reading the research articles linked on their site as well as other independent sources. In addition, the main peptide can be found for purchase online in its raw form and added to Andalou Naturals Stem Cell Conditioner for a cheaper, more superior product. This definitely seems like a hype product to me
So im actually more curious about the shampoo you used to get your hair to fade that much in one wash! Would you say it strips faster than head n shoulders?
