I wanted to say thank you for showing that veil, my sister is getting married in a few months and she ordered the veil you tried after I showed her this video. It's awesome, and huge, and it looks way more expensive than it was. So thank you, you saved her from spending a small fortune on a veil from a bridal shop!
usually other youtubers in these kind of videos can be so abnoxious, they're always like 'ew omg' before even looking at the item, i just really like that you give every piece its chance and actually TRY to make those things work keep the good work up!!
well some people are used with expensive clothes only and can afford all sorts of luxurious and designers clothes, and then feel like it's beneath them to wear cheap materials. In my opinion, getting a cheap wedding dress is not a tragedy, I mean, you would never wear it again...
So. As a former bridal consultant there’s, actually a lot but, in general a few things you(any bride anywhere) need to know about bridal gowns. There are different “colors” of white but this is how they’re broken down: True white has a bluish tint(honestly flattering for few skin tones. Mostly only the darker complected or those with olive undertones). Ivory is a lighter white(which compliments most skin tones, recommended for fair skin absolutely over true white). Candlelight is more yellow color(typically more of an antique color, not as common). Then there’s champagne which depending on the designer can have yellow, gold, ivory, or blush undertones). Also make sure you read what the description of the dresses. She tries on TWO PLUS SIZE dresses. So obliviously they didn’t fit... in general bridal gowns run about two sizes smaller (David’s bridal gowns run differently because they design them themselves) gowns like Moro Lee, Casablanca, Allure Bridals, Calla Blanche ect. Run small. Most online stores make gowns in China based off a picture they saw and that’s why it looks so different in real life than in the picture. I just want any and all future brides to be informed of bridal gowns, I totally understand budget and that you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for a gown your only going to wear for 6-8 hours tops (depending on your bridal ceremony and reception of course). I just don’t want any one to get screwed on a gown and have to find a replacement which can be heart breaking. I saw it all the time when someone bought a gown off line and it didn’t work out like the picture. Also. The sheer fabric is called chiffon. It’s very common in formal/prom gowns. And the puffy dress, the outer layer is made out of organza, it’s textured light weight and gives your the Disney Princess Bell look!! Lace up back dresses are called corset back. Just a few small things every bride should know. Cute video though!! Oh!! And usually cathedral veils like that one are AT LEAST $350 so that one is actually a AMAZING deal!! Kudos!!
My daughter is getting married in December and the variation in sizes was interesting to say the least. She tried on a lace Maggie Sottero gown which was beautiful on her. She ended up getting a Morilee gown which is said to run small, but fits her like a glove. The one issue we ran into was the gowns being in one length. Only select designers offer different gown lengths, so her gown needs to be shortened. That is also something to pay attention to when buying a gown.
Angela Walker usually depending of which Mori Lee gown you get it should come in 3 different lengths but sometimes shops don’t advertise that so they can make more money off the alterations which can be expensive.
@@merebear1728 Thank you for the reply. It is good information to know for sure. The dress she got came in one length unfortunately. The shop is owned by a family friend who went above and beyond trying to help find a gown like she wants in a length for someone 5' tall. The gown is exactly what she was looking for, and if it came in shorter length she would have gladly paid more for it. She initially made an appointment at the wrong shop, and you are correct they did not even mention different lengths being an option. The reason she started looking at Morilee is because the length options on several gowns. You'd think shops would give that sort of information considering more brides are opting to buy online now. Our oldest daughter is getting married next year, and she has been looking for specific lengths and sticking with designers who offer shorter lengths. She is not wanting to spend as much as my youngest did on her gown, so she might end up having to just get it shortened after buying it. The difference between a shop interested in pushing the gowns which are popular and one who wants to make the bride happy are huge. I can't even imagine a more different experience between the two shops in town. The bridesmaid gowns are also by Morilee and they did offer different lengths and carried the gowns in the full range of sizes. It was truly a great big help!

I worked for a small business who’s father owned the store before he gave it to his daughter. I believe most business that are locally owned offer the best business because they’re genuinely excited for the bride. Plus they don’t usually get commission off the dress sales so it’s all about the customer anyway! I’m so glad your daughter found the right dress and bridesmaid dresses! From someone OBSESSED with cathderial veils, that was honestly such a good deal. They normally run upwards of hundreds of dollars depending on the material!

Charlotte Spitz The waist area looks nothing like the picture and the length of the very top layer of the dress is too long. It isn't short like the one in the picture. The material is completely different too. It doesn't look soft, thick, and comfortable like the picture. But this dress definitely looks better than I expected.
I questioned the purpose of these wedding dresses the entire time, but I then realized that not everyone could afford to spend a thousand or two thousand euros/dollars on a dress... Glad that you showed them to us and maybe someone will find it useful and not just entertaining.
Miranda Melodie Miller right! Someone commented on here saying women shouldn’t be getting married if we can’t afford a dress. Well excuse me I don’t have thousands of dollars to be spending on a dress. Even the clearance ones I seen are still around $950. I got rent and bills to pay lol.
I feel like you could pull these off as a semi formal event but definitely not a wedding. The quality is barely decent to horrible. You pay what you get though.

Not everyone's wealthy or can afford an expensive dress. That doesn't mean they don't deserve to marry and feel beautiful. Just because I myself got born into a privileged family means others did. Every bride should find a dress for their special day :3

These would be really helpful for theater productions. When I was doing costume design, I always had to either DIY wedding dresses or try to find decent ones from goodwill.
For my wedding my mother in law bought 28 dresses on Amazon and I tried them all on. I picked one and she sent back all the other ones and got her money back. I ended up getting my dress for about $25.
Wedding dresses are good for halloween! If you are not going to return them, you should donate them to girls that can't afford them.It's a veil and train in one.

Mia is definitely not the right person to try on Indian wedding dresses. An Indian fashion youtuber would be a better choice because they actually understand what's required of Indian wedding dresses and so will be able to critique them better.
Lol. 😂 Unrelated, but the crinoline she bought was so bad. She should have gotten 5 or 6 hoops instead of 3. I wore one with 6 hoops for my Quinceañera. And also when she said the second dress was so puffy when my Quinceañera dress was 5 times bigger. 😂 I loved the video nonetheless. ❤

I asked that about the bathing suits and she said that she donates them. That said, swimsuits are generally not refunded, but a wedding dress might be.
I personally think the idea of buying online wedding dresses from companies like this is a good idea. Most of the time you might consider the fact it might be cheaply made but if you're having a small wedding I think this would be perfect! ❤

Taylor Rae The definition of expensive does tend to be one of those things that are subjective, but no I don't shop at David's Bridal because I wouldn't spend more than $80 on a dress that I'd only wear once. But since they do have dresses that range from $100 to $2,000 I was thinking maybe she could go to the store and try a dress from different price ranges and review if they do get better with a higher price tag.

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but the Beach dress that was to big, it actually said in the add "plus size" I don't know if you saw that, so it is for bigger bodies like mine forexample. So without the flower I would give it a 10, because it is pretty. If I ever get married that would be a dress I would look for. :D
@@ruby-zr7my actually plus size clothing from asian countries can begin from small but not based on asian frames. And sadly plus size in asia is very different than European or american plus size. I am not sure if this is the case here of course

I wasn't dogging on her, I was trying to help her figure out why it was so big. I also didn't "just" make the comment, I made it a month ago when the video came out. Also reading carefully is important, in a lot of contexts, and one of them is online shopping.
it says plus size because they offer plus sizes for the same dress, it says S-5XL so she probably got the S like always. It's a thing most of these sites do so people can find it more easier.
She actually gives the disclaimer for why she is having issues with the concealer She is trying different self tanners so her color changes daily lol On that note, I have grown to love her bright eyes I think she looks angelic ✨
