I graduated 28 years ago, married 19 years ago (I just turned 46 ) but I watch these because I love her honest fashion reviews, she always looks so pretty in the dresses, but most of all I love her sense of humor. And I like watching a fellow Canadian girl!
Forever 21 employee here! We do sell outside labels other than the in house brand, and not just for dresses! It's more common online as it provides more variety and you can tell it's an outside brand if the original price ends in $ .00 USD rather than $ .90 USD. Also most of the time it will say online exclusive somewhere in the description. We do sell other labels in store as well such as ambiance apparel for some of our basics. We will never sell another store brand though, like American Eagle or Pacsun. But I have seen brands like ambiance in stores like Burlington and other discount stores. Hope this info helps! Edit: the second "strap" on the red dress is just hanger tape to keep it on the hanger! not straps 😂
*The comment section* 5%- talking about her wearing heels instead of socks 5%- saying Mia is beautiful 10%- why am I watching this I don’t have a prom anymore/I’ve never gone to prom 80%- ThE rEd DrEsSeS sTrApS aRe FoR a HaNgEr
Dang that sucks but that's cool that it had pockets. My prom dress didn't but that would be cool if it did but it just wouldn't have worked with my dress
I think those extra straps on the red dress might be the ones used to hang up the dress. They get tucked in while you wear it though ☺️ just my thoughts. Love your videos Mia! I literally just want to be your best friend.
I'm way past my prom (all my kids are grown), but I love watching your prom dress series. I've watched them all & wish you had dozens more. I could watch them every day! So, yes, please keep doing them & do them year round. I think most of your subscribers wish there were many more. They're so entertaining!
This is so funny because I actually bought my prom dress from Forever 21 last year and for prom this year, I decided to get one of the dresses from Mia's Amazon prom dress video. Both dresses fit me perfectly and I didn't need any alterations!
Mia, I am 30 years old. I have zero reasons to watch these videos but I LOVE them. I don’t know what’s wrong with me but thank you for making them anyways lol. 🌺
i just realised her mom was helping her put on the dresses and if even she didnt realise they were hanging straps, maybe hanging straps are very uncommon in canadian brands?
@@lrizzard I'm in Canada. Never heard of fabric hanging starbs. Hanging straps here are at the armpit and are those clear plastic ones. Never once seen straps that are the same material
I get so emotional watching her because she actually takes feedback from her fans and tries it out. Mad respect. By no means should she change to please anyone but she truly cares about what makes the fans be able to benefit from these videos and she always tries to improve to be able to be more helpful and educational for her fans. I love Mia. She needs to be hyped up more, she’s such a genuine person and unproblematic. Why can’t all RU-vid’s be as good as her? She deserves all the hype
When I was in high school, I got my prom dress from forever 21 for $30! I got so many compliments and everybody said my prom photos looked like wedding photos, haha
Hey, I think I’ve watched every single fashion video on your channel EVER. I have noticed that you haven’t done one for ASOS yet, their ASOS design range is really interesting and I think you might find some killer pieces!❤️
I know I'm not the only person who knows that red dress has extra "string" on it.....for hanging up. was waiting for the edited Mia to come on and say something. lol but nope 🤷🏽♀️
Congrats! Look at Wish for a veil. O got mine for $7+$2 shipping ($9 total) and the retail equivalent was $120 at David's Bridal. It was stiffer material, but unnoticeable if you don't touch it. Wish helped me save a lot on the little things that mount up.
Omg , a few days ago I was on forever 21 and saw they had a prom section, and sis all I could think about is mia . And today on April 26th... SHE UPLOADED IT. I’m sister shook y’all .
yess!! i got my junior year prom dress at forever 21 and I’m getting a dress this year for my boyfriends prom! (i’ve been graduated awhile) but i’m soo excited
Prom season in the US, most girls start shopping right after Christmas and through January. Prom can be as early as only 1-2 weeks after spring break (so mid-late March) or as late as the beginning to middle of May.
I had no idea what she was saying but this is hilarious. Since I've read your comment I had to rewind it 3 times laughing my ass off. Shes clueless and so freaking funny!
@@conniedeshazo3031 You are straight up trash. Like, what the fuck is the matter with you? "...tries so hard to be grown up..." she's 20 years old, she owns her own damn home, she makes far more money than you, and on top of that she does this shit for fun. "Doesn't even know how to hang the dress up...." Most dresses have see through or "plastic" straps for the express purpose of hanging them up. I've never seen dresses with stiff hang ups like that, and I'm much older than Mia.
Eli Foxx Hold up.. so because she ‘earns more money’ than others, & apparently ‘owns her own home’ (what’s her mother doing in the video then?) others can’t state that she’s immature / naive for her age? Wealth doesn’t bring kindness, humbleness, maturity or happiness to someone’s life. You can’t take money to the grave either. People are quite entitled to their opinions just as you are, but if you think speaking to others who think differently to you in the way you just did makes you remotely mature or ‘kind’ because you ‘stuck up’ for someone you’re very much mistaken.
Eli Foxx And by the way.. common sense should have kicked in regarding the straps. The image online clearly shows the model wearing the dress with just 1 strap on each shoulder, something should have kicked in at some point; ‘ah, those are to hang the dress up with !’ No idea how many dresses you’ve owned in your life, but a lot of dresses I’ve owned have the same colour or thicker straps to hold the dresses up with so you aren’t damaging the garment.
A lot of girls start shopping for their prom dresses in Sept/Oct/Nov! I think part of the reason is the excitement of starting their last year of school and partly because ordering in from a dress shop can take a few months (then there's alterations...) So really the height of prom shopping season is in the Fall/Winter before the graduation happens.
Amelie Weber seid wann haben wir überhaupt einen Ball in Deutschland ? xD außer dem Abi Ball bzw Abschlussball habe ich so einen nie mitbekommen zumindest nicht auf meiner Schule
