I hope that guy got paid. I can't imagine trying to put on that performance, especially knowing it's for a video game given the less than blockbuster status of gaming at the time.
It's funny that the most famous advice Hayao Miyazaki gave to animators, "Don't watch anime; go and observe people instead," was said by a side character in an FMV game years before he said it.
I definitely remember MODE being much better about rewarding negative/aggressive responses. The main one I think of was the poet/writer lady who tested you by showing some obviously bad writing, and called you out on trying to hit on her if you went green. I think the the issue is that the average person usually prefers if it you're nice to them, so you need a bunch of screwballs like the MODE cast to really take advantage of both sides of the mood bar. Still no real reason to pick blue, though. Maybe in the inevitable MODE spiritual successor.
LOL, that was the first question that popped into my head when I saw the link. I went to the WayBack Machine, and I could not make heads or tails as to what this company did; Pharmaceuticals, I think... not really sure.
