It's not designed to stop you getting wet. If you don't understand the dangers of coupling and uncoupling and how it killed 29 drivers last year then this system is clearly aimed at protecting people like you.
What if you have to hook in at angle, because there's no room in front of the trailer, to reverse straight? Will you have to ask someone to pull the trailer out for you, because you can't hook in?
