Crickets actually taste alot like chicken imo, and when its in bread it gives it a wholegrain flavor. It's really good, though some people can be quite squicked lol, Tbf I can't stand the taste of cockroaches so I can see why, even though cockroaches do taste alot like shrimp paste.

@@lidianc5591 I was with you until the cockroaches bit. There are plenty of places in the world (including Hawai'i) that crickets, and other insects, are a super common food. I just personally can't get over how gross cockroaches are. I know for food grade roaches they feed them and its not like they're crawling over garbage and other nasty stuff regular roaches do, but I can't get the imagery of the standard roach out of my brain.

I'm sure a very small percent of people do have an allergy, simply because you can be allergic to anything, but an intolerance just means that your body can't break it down. Lactose intolerant people don't make the enzyme lactase, which makes eating lactose products varying degrees of uncomfortable, depending on the person.

A large portion of the world eat crickets and other insects. I mean, they're like a snack, but the point stands. Even Hawai'i has crickets and chocolate covered ants, and some places in the southern U.S. have stuff like that too. It's actually not really that weird.
