Today Im trying something I never did before. Tape-in extensions! deeperthanhair.com 22TiTania flat iron: deeperthanhair.com/22titania-... Shears: herstrandzofhair.com
You installed them very well for your first time!!! Just a helpful hint, leave a little bit more space between the panels. When they get a little bit of slack, they will start to flap on top of each other and could cause tensions at the ends of the panel. But it’s sooooo beautiful!!!!
This might sound silly, but I've been having a really terrible time lately. Health problems, relationship problems, everything that could happen has. I just have been so depressed and then I saw you posted this video. Something about your voice and these videos is so soothing and positive. Just wanted to say you lifted me up out of a dark space for a bit with this video. Thank you.
You are not alone sweetheart, keep pushing! God is in control! Sending all the love in all the lands your way! Something really silly that works for me is watching news bloopers as well, OMG THE GUT BUSTING LAUGH IS EVERYTHING! 😘😘😘😘😘😘
I LOVE the fact that you are willing to try new things, in front of all of us. I spent my career as a professional musician, and I always kept that same approach.... that I was always a student ready to learn new things! And the best people to work with also had that same approach. Keeping oneself humble is always best. And you do that beautifully. Speaking of beautiful, the tape in were stunning so great job!!!💖💖💖
Your model is super cute! She had such great expressions on her face. You did a FANTASTIC JOB. I love that you are humble enough to accept you could learn more and the intelligence to go for it so that you can add to your bag of skills. Keep growing!
I saw someone use the Pink Glosser spray to melt the adhesive, she said it was nice because the remover reverts the hair between the pieces of tape which can cause tangles while removing. She said the pink spray actually moisturized the hair and it stayed straight while the tape slid right off!
I know for some folks instead of doing tape in on the entire head, they’ll just do a sew in in the back and tape ins the front so you’re not dealing with all your being out and it also makes the hair fuller
Your life lessons always go beyond hair. Thank you for sharing the fail. Just more proof that it’s okay to make mistakes when you’re learning something new. I needed to hear this= Don’t be afraid to try new things.
You did an amazing job, Ms. Taylor. To me, the best part about the video was the opening. Being a student in a world full of Masters... that's an excellent title and mindset. This is why you're awesome at what you do! 👍🏻🙏
It's so good to see the level of trust you have with your clients/friends. I've been going to the same stylist for several years, getting a center parted short bob. He seemed to just have an awful time with it, to the place that it was like one good cut and the next not so good. He finally told me "you know this is a difficult style." I finally decided, hey, trust your cutter! and told him to put the part on the Left side. He gave me "that look" and asked me, "How long have you parted your hair on the Left?" "Since I was a kid." "So WHY do you always ask me for a center part?" "Because...it makes the cut last longer? When it grows out a little I shift the part to the Left..." Silence, tapping comb on the table...more of "that look." Then finally, "Sweetie, if you want a long-lasting short bob parted on the Left, just TELL ME that! I've had a heck of a time fighting with your hair because you trained it to part on the Left since how long?" *Blush* "Um...about 55 years, since it got long enough to cut when I was a kid..." I'm lucky he didn't cut that bob under my chin...from ear to ear! LOL
I can't help wondering what effect that adhesive on both sides of her hair will have in the long term. I guess I'm old (which I am)😄 but adhesives and hair sounds scary.
@@annainspain5176 honestly it doesn’t affect your hair at all.I have relaxed hair and they don’t affect it.Once you put oil on the tape they slide right out.
Kudos 👏🏾 💐 you did awesome. I love how even with a new type of install you didn't act like you knew everything and that you gave your suggestions into its care. I think it's honestly like gluing the hair in but better because no glue balls left. Thanks a million for being open and honest!!!⚘️⚘️⚘️🥂🍾
Her hair looks beautiful!😍😍😍 Love the curls and the cut layers! 💇🏾♀️💁🏾♀️ For someone installing tape ins for the first time, they look great!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽❤️💯
Definitely don't be ashamed to mess up on your first application of these. It seems like this would be something VERY difficult to do perfectly on the first try. Also, I listen to these videos every night. They're relaxing.
I love it! All the way around kudos. Cause in life we will never be an expert. Always a student. There is always something new we can learn.Wiser from the past. Absolutely awesome! She looked amazing!
Just turned 47 and started going gray at 18. Last year I stopped getting my roots touched up and I’m growing out the color. It’s liberating and now I just go to the salon for treatments and styling to maintain the health of my hair. Loving it!
Thank you for your honesty and being vulnerable! It looks beautiful and I’m not surprised that you did such a great job! I’m fellow hairstylist. I don’t do black womens hair because I’m a barber. If I did, I totally would want to do it like you! You treat the hair like it’s gold!
So glad you did this on your platform,I was wondering how this was done,as I have been seeing a lot of this lately.Thank you for always being so transparent, and taking us with you😍
Came across your channel by accident, I am an older white woman from the UK and have had many room mates, friends and colleagues of African or Caribbean descent. I knew there were totally different issues with their hair than there was with mine, but I never realised how different our hair was until I saw your videos. Thank you for enlightening me, I am in awe of your freehand cutting talent.❤
Gurl! She looks stunning! You did amazing! I love your commentary the most though! You make me smile and are so positive! I really love you and your channel! 🥰
This came out BEAUTIFUL! I would need to see the take down process but it also looks like a person could do this easily on their own hair! Great job, not even just for your first time, it’s just a great job all around.
I watch the video without sound and have to admit it's so relaxing to see how gentle your are with the hair and how precise and talented your are! Would love to have a hairdresser like you 🥰.
I'm so glad you did these, I always value your opinion. I want to try tape ins and since I'm very much a diy girl when it comes to hair I've watched a lot of videos as well. You did a great job!! 💜
You did a beautiful job. Plus , her own hair was already beautiful. She looks adorable! I never heard of tape-ins, so I learned something new tonight. Thank you!
This came out amazing! First time ever hearing about tape-in extensions, this was a new world for me, too, lol! She looked gorgeous and I love how thrilled she was when she saw the result. Be proud of yourself! 🥰
Hi Kee!! I’m still waiting for that special invite to your chair. 😬 As usual, you did an amazing job, especially being your 1st time. My little 2 cent tip: Along with a little space in between the panels, I left a little smidge of space on the ends of each panel as well. If the hair strands get caught, it can pull, cause breaking and be super painful. This also helps with a great sandwich sticking… meaning the ends of the sandwich being panel to panel.
You did a good job. After seeing the process I may try that and give my wigs a rest. You are such a people person and I love that you explain your craft to help us understand. I did relaxers on my hair for over thirty years. Now I am natural but not forever. I have to do what works for me. I am researching all the ways a woman of color can enhance her appearance. So thank you, I have been a subscriber for years. If you said it, I believe it. I have also unsubscribed those who rob subscribers and return little or nothing for knowledge. Your truthfulness is your standard you open and share your knowledge freely. Grateful I am a subscriber for life. Deeper than hair is true to describe your heart and love for your clients, friends and love ones. Thank you, thank you from one heart to another.
Had product that ended up being recalled damaged my hair 1 month ago. Was getting ready for the big chop. Ended up cutting damaged hair & putting in braids to get thru this. This might be my game changer for holiday switch up. Got my girls watching my reaction this.🙂 Love how you Always love on taking care of our beautiful hair first. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
First time to your channel. Love the fact that you are confident and willing to try something new without fear of judgement. Great job!!! Very impressed! Of course I'm all natural. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I love this, her hair texture is just like mine. You made me a believer for it to be your first time. I will definitely be trying it💜also that ring is 🔥
wow... the tape ins fit very well with her voluminous voluptuousness. i'm tiny and look like a string so if i got that kinda hair it'd overwhelm my whole self, but i love how it was done on her though. super job! super look!
Yes please show the installation process for natural hair. I’ve only seen these done on straight hair, I have natural hair and would like to try these. This was dope for a first time 😀
I think you did a great job! It looks really good, but I would love to see the maintenance process and the take down before I get tape ins. I agree with you when you said that you weren't sure if it was good for the hair. I don't want to cause damage or breakage. The model is absolutely gorgeous!
I specialise in blondes and extensions. I'm usually the one learning, so this was very fun to watch lol... Gotta say you did a wonderfull job for your first set! Didn't expect anything less as you always work SO clean!
Her hair turned out beautiful. You did great for the first try. It’s nothing like marcel curls they just give a different look to the hair. Thanks for sharing your process.
You're so transparent, I love it! A lot of stylists you can tell don't know what they are doing but they still pretend like they do. At least you tell the TRUTH! It ended up looking amazing. I don't know about tape-ins though, seems like that'll take out a person's strands out and thin the hair over time.
