@@zaraannett3119 I actually slice it and freeze each individual slice in a separate plastic bag. If I know I'm going to have one then I just take it out and let it defrost on the counter and it tastes the same. If I'm in a hurry, I'll pop it in the microwave for a few seconds till warm and eat it. It's the best way for me to ration it and watch my caloric intake.
I love this format! Please do this again. I personally loooove the birds nests and it's great with the Thai sweet chili sauce! Next time get the Japanese fried rice!
Ooohhh their Japanese Fried Rice is my jam!! Before I add it to the wok, I sauté some minced garlic, onion powder, and red chili flakes in a little bit of oil or water. Then I throw the rice in and cook it up. 🤤
Yeah and Indian food is known for having spice, so I would think for the most part, people who don't like spicy food won't like it... Haha. But I love spice and have an extremely high spice tolerance level, so I don't know what it's like to eat "mild" Indian food because I always get it really spicy😂
Just FYI. That chocolate sauce was probably perfectly fine. Most shelf items are good way past their "use by date". It's easy to waste food because we often buy things on a whim and then forget about them. You can look up individual items but if something smells and tastes alright there's a really good chance it won't kill you;)
Aww I wish y’all did the soyrizo! It’s my absolute favorite! I definitely recommend making a just egg and soyrizo burrito. Delicious!!! Add Mexican red rice and beans and avocado omg the best.
That pesto is sooooo good. I also love soyrizo and the cashew fiesta queso dip. Put them together with some pasta and veggies for a chili Mac and cheez of sorts. Oh, and the masala veggie burgers are my favorite! I think the bird nests are too oily personally.
Ooh the black cherry and dark chocolate one?! My mom and I love that one! My mom isnt vegetarian by any means, but she prefers vegan ice cream more than regular ice cream
I'm going tomorrow, my family isn't plant based, but we do want to try to eat less dairy products. Do you recommend the ice cream they tried or the soy vanilla to try first??
Sima Kassem unfortunately I haven’t tried the one they had in the video. while the soy creamy definitely doesn’t taste like regular ice cream, it’s really smooth and has a rich vanilla taste! the cherry chocolate chip one kind of tastes like a frozen yogurt with light cherry flavoring - not too overwhelming and has lots of chocolate chunks.
I saw the Calabrian chili pepper sauce in the haul and immediately thought “oh no! That is too spicy for jasmine.” I use like 1/4 tsp at a time because it is spicy but it has such good flavor. I add it to pasta, mac n cheese, and to sandwiches.
I love the Trader Joe's Vegetable Fried Rice. I always have some in my freezer. Not as oily as a lot of other vegan frozen foods at TJ's. It is great with nori sheets and gochiujang sauce or paste. BTW Don't forget to sneeze into your elbow to stay safe!
So excited for this video! I'm going on shops about every two weeks and always stop at Trader Joes, I bet I'm going to have to add a few things to my list!
I practically lived off the Jackfruit Curry for 4 months, I love it. I thought it was funny that you found it to be that spicy, lol. Maybe if you tried mixing it with the rice. I've never tried it the way you guys were eating it. I've always mixed it together.
When I was hiking the PCT I brought Annie’s boxed dairy free mac-n-cheese. I poured the dry noodles and flavor packet in a ziplock baggie. After breakfast I put the dry noodles in a plastic jar with hot water. By lunch they just needed a few minutes cooking over my pocket stove to get soft. I added the cheez powder and stirred, then added sriracha from a travel sized packet. It became my favorite go-to backpacking lunch.
the frozen falafels are so good, also their Garlic Aioli Spread is my favorite spread they have omg soooo good, especially on their remade pizza crust as a "white" pizza. MUST TRY
@@lenora-yoder no, that's different. This one is a white spread next to all the hummuses and dips. Clear container with purple lettering. Says vegan on it
The vegan tikka is so good. Can't wait to try their turkeyless burgers and other new products. I'd also recommend their Thai gyozas and Japanese Fried Rice 👌
What cheese is that on the burgers? It melts so well! First time watching your channel. I already subscribed 😊 You two are so sweet together and just so real. Can't wait to check out your other videos!!
I love this video!!! I don't mind the quality at all. And I liked that it kept going and going and going!!! Loved seeing all the options in one video!!!!!
Yes! We just found the tempura cauliflower and it is amazing! Jasmine might not want the sauce because that does have a little spice, but besides that, it's amazing!
I love the birds nests, I put them in a 400° oven with a little bit of oil for 15 minutes on each side to Chris, and then I dipped them in vegan sour cream.
Omg you guys are seriously MIND READERS!!!! I've been obsessed lately with Trader Joes and have been planning an epic shopping trip!!! This was such a happy coincidence and a light to my day! Ugh I LOVE YOU TWO!!! Thank you for all that you do! Btw - Trader Joes has a GREAT podcast!
This was great!! Added some items to my grocery list 👍🏻 next time try the vegetable nests in the air fryer if you have one - I bet that would get the perfect texture on them
yesss 28mins, how awesome! i really enjoyed you trying all the products:) i live in germany so i don’t have access to a trader joe‘s but it’s so much fun just seeing you guys share your opinions. keep doing your thing 💚
Some of our TJ faves: 1) Chili Lime Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips. They're AMAZING and addictive, so buy 3 bags at a time. 2) Barbeque Popped Ridges -TJ's version of Pop Chips 3) Tandoori Garlic Naan in fresh bakery section. frozen ones not V. 4) seasonal sugar cookies from bakery section 5) Everything But The Bagel Sprinkles - great on Avocado Toast 6) Soy Chorizo for Taco Tuesday w/ authentic corn tortillas, your fave fillings and topped with vegan Cilantro Lime Crema - O M G.
Nice video. I love Trader Joe’s. Check out the Japanese stir fry rice, teriyaki tofu, and the buffalo hummus. They also have a really good autumn vegan soup or chili (can’t quite remember) with butternut squash. It’s over near where you got the vegan Mac and cheese but it might be seasonal.
The mango sticky rice rolls, orange chickenless morsels, and the vegan mochi are the besssssst TJ products. And the umami and chickenless seasonings. My husband and I literally drive 2 hours every few months to stock up on our TJ favorites.
Great video! And I totally trust your judgement on foods and have tried many things after seeing your videos. I’m curious about the soyrizo and would love to see a video about it to see what you both think.
omg i’m obsessed with so many items from TJ’s !! i recently bought some of these items, like the jackfruit curry and tikka masala and i can’t wait to try :))
Don't take this the wrong way, but you guys apologize, made me feel a little normal (I do it a lot too.) You guys do a fantastic job, I love how honestvyour reviews are. Also you guys come off so genuine, and make it less scary for me personally to go vegan. I'm working on cutting dairy out, cheese is my only weakness.
Hi predominantly shop at Whole Foods. But because of you guys I have to make it to Trader Joe’s. I think they may have some better options. Struggling Vegan here. Thanks guys
You guys have to try the cauliflower gnocchi but don’t cook it how the bag says. Pan fry them or air fry them. So bomb with their kale pesto and sun dried tomatoes
Your mac and cheese comparison is the reason I now keep Amy's mac and cheese stocked in my freezer. Sometimes I add a little extra shredded of whatever vegan cheese I have on hand. That stuff is bomb. And my two cents, true mac and cheese shouldn't contain squash or sweet potato or the like.
I grew up eating Chicken and Dumplings as a kid and the TJ’s Vegan Mac N Cheese reminded me of the dumplings. It definitely didn’t help with my Mac craving! That Jackfruit curry and the vegan cashew fiesta cheese are two of my faves there!
