@@BlucklesTheGlitchidna I actually think that it is just because there are 8 characters, because later games stay loyal to the lore and have only 7 Chaos Emeralds. So many started thinking that emerald was a fake, and that actually has kinda sense, since fake emeralds can be built and are really similar to the ogs according to SA2. Another game that has more than 7 Emeralds is Sonic Spinball, with actually has 16 of them. Even if the other emeralds can be defined "fakes", I don't really count spinball as canon, because it's actually set in the SatAM universe.
@@AndyHappyGuy In the Original, put Sonic 1 with Sonic And Knuckles Cartridge, allow you to play like 134,217,728 Blue Sphere Levels- And Sonic CD, that one I don't quite know why, then again, some of these as a secret is kinda neat, to be honest.
@@BlucklesTheGlitchidna I'm not counting the blue spheres minigame, I'm talking about all the unused special stages. If I'm not wrong all of the three mainline classic sonic games AND sonic cd have unused special stages.
@@AndyHappyGuy Well, actually, these Hidden Special Stages are only in Sonic 1 & 2 Remakes, the originals doesn't had these. So maybe the devs behind the remakes just adding these for fun. CD's one, well I found this quote. "According to a former Sega Europe QA Tester, an extra Time Stone was to be collectable here. When collected in addition to the previous Time Stones, "S" TV monitors would appear where the ring TVs were previously located. When broken, the player would morph into a gimped version of Super Sonic, which would simply grant them invincibility and greater speed. The graphics would not change." Sonic 3's one, I don't know, but maybe it's just added in either for fun, or those were for testing, but the devs being lazy to remove them, who knows.
@@BlucklesTheGlitchidna but instead I did a Sonic 1 2013 Easter Egg vid because my Sonic 2 2013 had crashed and it had too many ads so I thought of doing Sonic 1
