Trying to BREAK PAR with a Full Set of HYBRID Irons 

This is the one I've been waiting for 😀 looking forward to the results Edit.... agree with you on the wedge shots. Last summer I switched to Cleveland Launcher HB Turbo hybrid irons, very quickly I decided that PW should be the shortest that I could work with and kept my smithworks wedges in the bag for the exact reason you mention. Edit 2.... 100% agree with your analysis on the hitting into wind scenario. For me that was just a learning experience and I know to club up and then just swing easier to get the distance. What I would say is that all the shots I've seen you hit didn't look the best version of Lee that I've seen.... but the results were usable on what seemed to be a pretty tough day.

I’m a little confused, why not use them the way they are supposed to be used lol hit a driver or hybrid when you should and play the irons like normal

Great video, game looked good (bar that last put) shame the putter let the clubs down, I've been using the Wilson Launch Pad 2 Irons now for a few months and they have been an amazing choice for me, it did take some time to adjust to the power and how hot the shots come of the club face, but that just meant plenty of range visits to gauge my stock distances. all in all very happy with the clubs.

Over all you played well Lee. This should be a good series

This should be a fun series! With how windy Whitsand is you're going to have to learn to hit everything lower, particularly your moon ball driver! 😆

Nice one, Lee, good playing in less than favorable conditions. Thanks for the demo of the launch pad irons. Don't think I will be switching this year. I put the Wilson D9 irons in play last year.

Some very forgiving irons, but they would take some getting used to. Looked like you got around with them well, Lee.

Why wouldn’t you bring your woods. Would you break par jousting using outer iron from 5- to GW?

it would be nice if you were playing your normal irons and the ones you test in the same time, this would give some better comparison IMO.

What would you have shot with your clubs 5-GW on this same day?

You should do more hybrid iron set reviews just like this one nobody else is doing them.

I have thought about buying a set of these but I am concerned how tey work with chips and pitches. Your demo has helped me decide that are probably not for me. Thanks!!

Lee is that a stock shaft you are using, if so, which one is it?

I had them and sent them back, the 6 iron face broke on the first hit on the range. They are hollow, total junk

I game the original LaunchPad irons and won’t use them around the green as they are too lively off the face.

So, it was a one part series 😂

Unfortunately the Launchpads can’t make the shot for you.

Would you ever take 5-GW with your normal clubs as a review . Seemed a bit pointless. A comparison should be like for like surely ,

Why try break par with hybrids when you throw away your driver and 3 wood. Seriously just replace your irons with the hybrids instead - then tell us how many strokes they cost you!

A bit of artificial test. No would go out on the course without a driver , 3 or 4/5 Fairway. Meaningless test.

Hope you can keep this series going - good idea. 👏🏻 One thing though, 145 yd into 2-3 club wind, high launch 8 iron? 🫣
