Sam is such an underrated automotive youtuber, the adventures he goes on and shares with us, the story telling and vlog style is top notch. Been watching for years now and definitely think he deserves more views at least. Cheers
Not really underrated Has 500k followers, his own podcast and always getting perks from companies within the industry. Give it a couple of years if he keeps at it and he'll be 1mil plus subs
@@seenthroughglass It's disgusting that there's a GT3 on Autotrader with 100 miles on the clock for £265K. Too many are seeing cars as an investment tool instead of a pleasure tool (yep I said, a pleasure tool!)
You would make a great gt3 owner Sam. Been harrassing dealers for over 2 years and did manage to secure a configurable slot…. But wont receive my ordered car for another 8 months because its a pts manual touring and apparently they need to wait for microchips to be manufactured by hamster wheel power. However, its unlikely i could realize “oh goodie, id like a gt3” that i could get one on the spot, without paying some crazy markup. I agree these cars should be driven but the line is deep and unfortunately full of flippers and collectors (and less drivers). Hopefully you can get one now at a fair price because youre famous, or maybe get in line for the next one now
If he doesn't do it very soon the one eyed trouser snake with the new Mrs Sam will get busy and little Sams will arrive putting the kibosh on any cars let alone a GT3.
Some of your best content is when you’re not as focused on the cinematography and your passion for what you’re driving shines through. Collecting your 360 still stands out to me, not because of how it was shot but because of how excited you were.
Great video. Can’t help the British weather. It is what it is! Hope someone gives you a build slot for a 992, and you share the discussion you have to have with Vicki 😉
Cool drive! Before purchasing, how about, extending this agreement with Porsche GB? Perhaps a short term lease, something a bit creative, to continue the STG British Isles exploration tour? Meaning to say, rewatched STG Drive The World video compilations, such a good car travel and people atmosphere.(and Porsche appreciation) Thank you. And, is it time for the Autumn motorcycle riding lessons?
Sam, I live on the Welsh boarder and have a lotus exige s and know where all the unreal roads are. There are some truly great quiet roads. When the weather is good it’s ace!
Old military road northbound through the Cairngorms !!! Maybe not as many twists but awesome undulations and corners (with no cars and no speed limit - 70 of course)
Sam, you be really proud of yourself. The quality of your videos are top notch. The B roll shots are stunning and you really tell a story in your own unique and humorous fashion. So many of your colleges push out (except James) do lazy videos. Love the travel video in the UK. I know you like the European stuff but for the UK viewers it’s much more realistic for us to jump in our cars and experience these drives than the ones abroad. Great work Sam. You are my favourite Cartuber.
Great video Sam. I agree with your decision to post more content with less production value. You will always crank out epic videos because that is your nature. That said, I think you'd do well to sprinkle more videos like this one in between the epic productions just to up your views. We enjoy your content.
Another fine video Sam, loved the wider interior camera shot you used, allowing us to see the manual gearstick being used, and enjoy the complimentary engine sounds with it! 👏🏼
Great driving roads are always the ones the locals know about, I live in the Peak District and people come for Snake Pass and the Cat & Fiddle but it’s not often I use them it’s just one traffic jam much better off the beaten track that aren’t ruined by harsh speed limits.
I done these roads on a motorbike 3 weeks ago in the sunshine. Absolutely amazing.. I did it downwards as I could see further around the corners. Lots of amazing roads in Wales. Evo triangle, Black Mountains , B5474 , Cycle path 81 and many many more all are much needed roads to visit. I'll be uploading some POV vids when I edit the videos.
This trip once again tops your already exceptional production value...it's absolutely lovely! As is the car. You're definitely doing it justice with your videography Sam!
Another great video. Sam you are my favourite automotive RU-vidr. So down to earth and like to Tony said in an episode of the podcast, you never buy something f that is beyond what you can afford which I really like. It makes your content more authentic 👍
You need to get up to the North York Moors and drive the road from the A171 Guisborough to Whitby road over Blakey Ridge to Hutton Le Hole. It’s brilliant. Evo use it regularly for road tests. Close by is also the B1287 between Stokesley and Helmsley. It’s known as the Yorkshire TT and is brilliant. Both run for about 20 miles and don’t have a 40 limit. There are other great roads around there too.
Being inspired by many motoring journalists, I went to visit Wales in summer 2019 and went through these roads. I don't own a fancy car, just a simple Citroen Xsara with a revy 1.6 16v, petrol engine but it's still a good enjoyable car to drive and I absolutely loved my trip and pushing my car through these roads. And I think driving can be fun in any car as long as the road and the journey is enjoyable... I may live in France where there's some extraordinary roads but honestly the UK got a lot of special ones. I miss Wales, I'd love to come back (with Scotland + Yorkshire Moors as a to do list)
Your content is always the best out there. I think you should always release what you film as I'm sure even what you class as your worst work will be 100 times better than what other people make
Sam hope you have better luck obtaining a build slot for a 992 GT3 than we have here in the US. Hopefully your popularity as a great content provider will help!
Sam. This series in the GT3 has been fantastic. Absolutely love that engine and if it was me who was able to get one then it would be the touring version for sure in manual
I have a suggestion for Porsche to start to offer a new optional extra, after watching this video - offer a smoke generator with an outlet against the rear wing of their high downforce models... So that drivers can watch the aero effects in the mirror!!!
I knew you’d come back to that road 😃 Yup the speed limit was in place when you were there last, not many people stick to it but with cameras rolling you have to. Regularly when I go up there am there are car clubs from all over just driving the road, last time I went there were a load of nutters attempting to drift the hairpin which was entertaining
You should check out the Bike Shed in London. Similar wibe to the coffee/bike place you're in here. But a bit bigger. Nice video as usual though. Keep up the good work.
to be honest i live fairly local to the black mountains and on a good day you can get good fun use out of the your car as everyone does it anyway, great video though loving the gt3 content
Another great video! What a car. Why don't you take Tony's GT4 PDK for a drive (not as if he's driving it, he's just the flipper), it would be great to hear your thoughts?
grabs a cup top off? needs a custom red bull holder.. and pink Floyd Animals on the stereo. You'll zig zag away in the Porsche of the day occasionally glance to see no rain.
Crap weather & speed limit or not, amazing road & great video! On the car: Still a bit ridiculous that you can't "just" buy a GT3 if you want to (I'd prefer a Touring, though).
Thanks for highlighting the catastrophic speed limit! Why can they do that?? Just so they can increase the speed fine revenue? I really hate this idea that drivers do not need to take responsibility and judge a safe speed using their own observations. Rather than nany-state speed limits, there should be much more encouragement to take an advanced (iam/Rospa) driving course… sorry for the rant! Great content!
Richard, no offence to the Welsh populace, but their government hate cars, and car drivers. We live about 3 miles from the border and things change so much when crossing it. Much lower speed limits, restrictions and you name it, the Welsh highways commission do their best to destroy any fun on their roads. There are stretches of road where you can have a hoon, but not for long. Forty mph limits where the national limit is easily safe... why? So people cannot have any fun. They say, 'It's to protect lives'.... which is a load of sheep poo.
@@BobH809 over the border in Scotland many the 30 mph limits on the A68 (the main route to Edinburgh) have simply been swapped for 20 mph limits … I’m all for 20 mph where it’s appropriate (eg a housing estate, through the shops etc) but this is just a blanket application even though the road is wide, visibility good. Some parts of the 20 mph limit don’t even have any houses nearby…
