I love working out at home too. I have done the gym thing, but currently we are mowing a path around our 5 acres, it's very hilly and is doing a great job. Garden looks great!!!! I can't wait to plant garlic at my new place this fall, what a dream come true! Sweetest little family and I love the music.

Hey Jason, you should dry your garlic before cleaning off the the dirt.

Good crop of garlic... all you have to do now is hang it in a dark dry place and let it cure for 2 - 3 weeks then peel off the dirt and trim the roots and leaves off...

nice work on the garden! I've been to busy working and being a chicken wrangler with 34 baby chicks this year to tackle a garden...maybe next year. Farmers Markets come in handy, also my nephew grew his own garden so getting fresh veggies one way or another.

What a fun video!! I love watching the chickens pluck around your garden and grass as you three harvest lol. Be careful with weeds (unwanted weeds), they will eat up all the nutrients in your soil that your edibles need :) The garden looks beautiful. Have you guys experienced any hurricanes or tornados since you've moved to NC??
@freedomwoodgasandoffgridin8925
we just learned about lambs quarter this past week. have been harvesting from my land lords farm every morning after chores then take it home clean blanch chill and freeze in ziploc sandwich bags. 2 to 3 pounds a day

Your garlic looks wonderful!!! There are some interesting You-tube videos on braiding garlic once its dried. Would love for someone to tell first hand if a groundhog is good to eat, they are mostly herbivore or vegetarian (what's the difference?) I do believe? Another good video! Phil

the old timers here use to eat them all the time in a stew. they eat only grass and veggies. Not sure if we are ready to eat one though! thanks Phil!

Lambs Quarters, chenopodium albicans, it tastes like a rich spinach when cooked, or eat the tender leaves in salads. Great with butter.

I think you're supposed to wait till the garlic Falls over before it's done growing which is sometime in late fall

What do you think of back to Eden method
@SowtheLand
@SowtheLand 7 лет назад
Hi Annalise, I think that is a good method. Does take a while to get the soil like back to eden method. Which we are kind of doing that method. Meaning we don't plan on tilling again and we are piling on wood chips and compost each year. Do you do back to eden method? thanks for the great comments!

Sew The Land not currently something I believe I want to try, were currently renting an upper but fortunately we have containers for the very basic so it's better than nothing really striving to find a way to some land and get cultivating.
