i used to have the fastest lap at malaysia in f1 2017 and it took me 2 weeks to get that perfect time, and then when i was trying to go a few hundredths quicker, I learn that some guy on his 5th lap beats me by over a second

Hi TRL Limitless, love your vids! Massive F1 fan, trying to improve my track skills although I am still using an Xbox controller.. But feel I have much more potential regardless. I notice a good setup really improves my lap times but I'm aware that I don't fully understand how setups work. I get the basics, high wing values for tracks that require more downforce like Monaco, high differential for tracks like Monza with massive power straights etc etc but I'd love to see a video of a pro like yourself explaining your though processes behind how you alter your setups, especially with suspension values. I really need to learn but there's a lack of resources out there that explain it for humans. Would love if you could explain in your way, feel like a load of us could really benefit from it! Much love and congrats on the channel growth, Jon

I would take notes from the vids, because he gives some hints. Also, Project Cars 2 has a very cool system where "you talk to the engineer" and he gives some advice. Most of all you have to understand how you feel the car "am I lacking braking power? Am I locking too much? Do I suffer from oversteer or under? Does the car have straight line speed and then doesn't corner properly? Do I lose the backend" Knowing that is half wya through there. I'm also on Xbox controller, and you can be really competitive if you invest the time and effort

I think this car's handling isn't too realistic. The 2009-2013 cars had amazing rear downforce, but this car's rear end is unstable and always wants to step out.

I think you miss a point here. The cars in this specific era had fantastic rear downforce, but only at higher speeds. The blown diffuser doesn't work in slow corners very good.

I'm not driving manual, but small tip. You don't always need to downshift to 2nd or 1st gear. You can get the corner done in 3rd and if you're brave 4th gear as well, you will exit and pass the corner much much faster.

On F1 2018 people used to stick to the barrier from beginning to end, and had like 1:03 of a lap, now it's kinda patched but some still abuse it unfortunately

The setup taking two attempts to load is caused bc you are too quick from the timing screen to the setup screen. It takes a few moments to download and apply the setup, but you are already at the setup screen when it finishes downloading, so it can't apply it. If you were a bit slower at switching screens, it would be fixed.

I remeber my first time playing f1 trying Australia. I had a fastest lap of 2:01. Now I can get a 1:28. I only started playing 2 weeks ago. It’s just trying to get used to muscle memory I think
