Fun fact: While Sans dunks on you if you try to spare him in geno, you can actually spare him if you intentionally miss all your attacks. You gain the act “back down” at the end of the fight and a unique scene. It aborts genocide of course

What gets me about Harry's *eradication* is that you can't spare him after Larry gets pushed. He WANTS you to kill him

I love how Sans is pretty goddamn unpredictable in this route, he's always keeping you on your toes, even if you've been exposed to the fatigue of his fan works considering how popular he is, of course. Just when you think you've seen it all...

they way larry and harry act before their fight and how you have to push one off the cliff is genuinely haunting to me

I love how the ruthless route does not treat ACTing like a paperweight.

I love how people in chat are saying “KILL THEM, KILL THEM ALL” and when there’s dialogue explaining what they were planning to do after the human is defeated they’re like “shayy why would you kill them? They were gonna live a happy life, you’re so evil!!!” *ain’t that ironic?*

I just realized, the swap of Flowey this whole time was with "that freak that just watches it happen"

Oh my fucking god, I just realized, the cardboard cut out was missing from the papyrus scene, that’s how he used it in the fight

"are those shurikens?" They don't realize that they skipped a lot of the fight in the pacifist route because they donated a bunch to the spiders lol

I love how brutal the larry and harry fight is the fact we have to push larry of the cliff to take advantage of harrys loss of will to live

Harry and Larrys death was so emotional and it gave me an idea that if there was a chance to fight both skeleton bros at the end of this route, it would end the identical way.

I’m starting to think… In Undertale, all the bosses die in one hit, with the exception of Undyne and Sans. They’re the only ones that put up an actual fight. However, we’ve seen in Underswap that both Asgore (who’s in Toriel’s place) and Sans (who’s in Papyrus’s place) both had actual fights. This makes me think that both Alphys (who’s standing in for Undyne) and Papyrus (who’s standing in for Sans) will both not have actual fights, and will die in one hit. This’ll be interesting.

I love how crossbones changes so much from the pacifist version of him to the genocide. He’s funny and goofy in the pacifist but serious, angry, and concerned for all around him in the genocide.

I’m honestly pretty excited to see “Alphys The Almighty” (what I prefer to call swap alphys version of the undying state) in the next section!

I really love this games attempt to keep the character's personalities intact despite their different circumstances, I generally don't like underswap takes because they get the personalities all wrong. I especially dislike underswap sans because in their attempt to make sans more like papyrus they create an obnoxious, humorousless immature blob that lacks the charming characteristics of either sans or papyrus, but this game sidesteps that problem all together by keeping the majority of both brother's personalities intact while swapping their roles, sans is now the one going out of his way to get the attention and praise of other monsters (and being more successful) while papyrus is trying to be both supportive but also make sure his brother doesn't get into too terribly goofy situations. I thought alphys broke that trend by being something wild different but even that seems to be a ruse, she's playing an act like any well written alphys should, I imagine she's probably obsessed with European stories and imagery in this universe instead of anime and her attempts to replicate that end up making her look like a bizarre blend of a james bond villain and stroheim from jojo's, it's actually genius.

Fun fact - if you only battle loox and pick on them each 3 times you can be love 7 before asgore

I'm mostly desensitized to these kinda runs in Undertale-related stuff, I'm just not a very emotional person when it comes to storytelling in games. But something about Harry and Larry's death actually gets me. I'm not holding back tears or anything, but something about how you kill these cartoony guys gives me a sinking feeling inside.

im absolutely ADORE the Ruined Knight because Whimsalot is THE best monster in undertale (also the Ruined Knights have such a banger theme)

There is a way to spare Crossbones, but you have to let every attack run out causing them to miss, then when at the end of the fight, go to the act menu and select Backdown. There's some interesting Lore you get at the end for it.

my first playthrough i intended to do a genocide, but i felt bad from papyrus and sans' warnings, so i gave up, so my first playthrough was the secret 'middle' route between neutral and genocide. it was really heartbreaking, and when i continue the game when the rest of it comes out, i'm definitely not going to kill anymore, i'm a changed human, damn it! path of redemption!

the larry and harry fight was really depressing, man. they figured out how to live when facing the human, but they were really unfortunate to be standing also right at the edge of the cliff

Minor thing but the bar for the journal going from yellow to gray just means somethings been updated in the journal and once it’s viewed/checked, it’s grayed out.

There is a secret ending with sans fight, just miss attacks on purpose there is a special akt option at the end

It was entertaining watching Chara completely roast everything about Asgore's house.

Trick for anyone struggling against sans here:atack at 1:55:47 can be easily avoided, all you have to do is wait 'till the box will start to push you from the beggining platform you jump as high as possible, then use the dash and hold an arrow in the directon of beggining platform, that way - if you time it right (which isn't really hard) you get de facto free atack

I actually didn't know this game ONLY used first person for the narration, so when you mentioned that I was like "What?". I completely (somehow) missed you named your pacifist character "Shayy" so I just thought this is what happens when you name the character "Chara", cause there's special dialogue for selecting said name. I love being blind

6:49 whoever said "No early LV2" is factually incorrect, when I tried to replay ruthless route because I think I forgor something Asgore didn't stop me at first, only AFTER I landed the hit on the first Froggit did he come in, sadly I didn't hit the perfect center so I was just a single hit away.

You can hit the first froget IDK what I did differently and there was different dialog as asgore failed to block my stick

you can do a evacuation route on this game on multiple ways but the common way is sparing asgore on a genocide route and will give a new boss for starlight
