It's obvious Claire should have been the lead singer. She was weighed down by the girl in the middle. Even Claire on lead, this song would never been a hit. It's way, way, way too generic even by 90s standards. it was destined to be a flop. This group has no chemistry what so ever. It would have never worked regardless.
Claire and her two backing singers this seems to be! You can tell she had stardom in her and went on to better things as she has a great voice and stage personality. As for the video....how much were the extras paid to dance lifelessly - a £10 and a free drink at the bar? The song is a poor and cheap cover.
@@nobbynobbynoob Exactly, and TSD toured with many of the huge acts of the time, among them, Boyzone, Eternal and Pj & Duncan (Ant’n’Dec), trying to make a name for themselves - they even took part in the Smash Hits tour. This was Claire’s first big taste of fame and she admits she found it very strange when people began to ask her for her autograph, but she liked it. As you prob know!
Claire even knocks these 2 out of the park, just like she did with the members of steps, everyone knew she was always "Claire and Stepettes". Lisa and Lee were only there for eye candy.
