@@DazeOfFraz on game pass you get standard edition which includes Kassel-Wurzburg, South Eastern High Speed and Cajon Pass and training centre. If they're not visible check if they're available to download.
@@tooru9288 that is correct, people do generally get paid for their products. If you had a route in TSW2 that same route is free in TSW3 after you buy TSW3 with one exception "New Journeys Expansion" and that is intended to be released later. Tell me if you go to the supermarket and buy and apple, do you expect them to also give you a banana and an orange for free?
Good tutorial. In terms of journeys: If you havr br class 31 and 20, Tees Valley Line will have 3 journeys: Default, br class 31 specific and br class 20 specific.
Is there a way to run to a timetable schedule as though you are working for the day? I find myself having to go onto Free Roam after finishing a route to see what the next service is but the last time I did this, no route came up. The service codes don’t appear to have a sequential element so I’m having to work out the time I spent on the last service and partly guess what the next job will be. Hope this makes sense.
@@trainsimulatordriver Thanks for the response. 👍🏼 I tend to do this and make a note of the next service if I’m switching off for the day. Would be nice though if Dovetail gave the option of a ‘working day’ timetable.
Thanks for all the useful videos, I have a question on the new TSW3 menu - When you download a scenario from Creators Club is it meant to appear in the main window along with the standard DTG scenarios or do you select the game from inside Creators Club. If it's the latter than why is CC so unreliable still!!! and even when its working after downloading a scenario I don't always get the opportunity to play some scenarios, I'm not sure if it's me or DTG. Thanks
Hi Simon, thanks for the positive note on my content. The downloaded scenario will appear in two places, it appears under my subs in creators club. When you open it there it will have a play button. It will also appear under the list of scenarios if you open the scenario list after choosing a route. Note they'll only appear if you have all the required content installed. When you're looking on the online hub make sure the required content icon has a green tick on it. I think it's been fixed, but in the past if they needed a particular livery and you didn't have it they wouldn't appear.
@@trainsimulatordriver Thanks, this is as I though, I struggled to get scenarios on TSW2, I had to uninstall BR Class 52 DLC to stand a chance of seeing some scenarios, however; with TSW3 Im not getting any downloaded scenarios imported into the game menu.( I have all required DLCs) Ive raised a ticket with DTG but would like to know if other PC users are experiencing the same problem.
@@simoncox9551 I've only had the issue in the past when I didn't have a custom livery, I've not had such issues in TSW3. I'm happy to try a couple, give me a couple of scenario names and I'll see if I can get them.
@@trainsimulatordriver Hey Paul, so I just found a load of old TSW2 scenarios in CC Scenario planner must have been imported during setup, think a mixture from old TSW2 CC and ones I downloaded from TSC website. Embarrassed to say I've never made any of my own yet. However, I still can't seem to install a new TSW3 CC Scenario into any menu. If I create a new profile, I assume I can always switch back to my old one, I'm wondering if it's worth a try to see if it behaves any different.
@@simoncox9551 Yes they will have come over during import. Anything you're subscribed at the time of the upgrade will also appear. Subscriptions are tied to your Dovetail Live login not your in game profile so they should appear for any profile. Note should :). I would suggest logging a support call via dovetailgames.freshdesk.com/support/home so they can help you resolve the problem that is affecting you.
Are you on Xbox? If you are check that the Xbox has downloaded the rest of the packages. Xbox is a little different to the other platforms as it treats the core routes as DLC to be downloaded separately.
L,OL I can't even get into quick play I'm on PS4 . I've got the deluxe version, I've downloaded cajon pass , and the other DLCs that came with a bundle on PS store. Can't use them.
@@herecomethelizards2 I've not had that drama on PS4, when you are in the main menu and you go to the trains, then route, what do you see in that menu? There's help for all platforms at dovetailgames.freshdesk.com/support/solutions
what I don't like about train simulator games is that it gets boring after you start moving, especially if you're playing in US, I think they should put more traffic, more red lights, changing cars a lot or something like that, I know that it's a simulator but idk I mostly just get going and then exit the game, or just disregard the speed limit and try to go as fast as possible without derailing
Sounds like you want to play commuter routes, they are more face paced with lots of stopping and starting. The really long US freight runs certainly aren't for everyone unless you like starting the train going then going and watching TV for a couple of hours then come back at the end :).
For other simulators? I play Railroader and Diesel Railcar Simulator and very occasionally Trainz. I'm looking forward to Century of Steam when it comes out - if it lives up to its promises its going to be great - the first proper simulation of steam.
I have a important question, when i want to register to Creator's Club, it text me "Unable to sign in right now". I tried it like 4x times, but its same. Do you or anybody know, what to do?
@@SlyStarling alternately did you buy the TSW3 upgrade pack on Steam then this might help dovetailgames.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/80001067290-train-sim-world-3-buyers-guide
VR would be cool but it's such a small market they've said it's very unlikely. You can set the weather to match your local weather before you run a service if you like
You get three routes, if I remember rightly currently it's South Eastern High Speed, Kassel Wurzburg and Cajon Pass. The routes usually change each year or so. CP has two freight locomotives, KW has one passenger and at least one freight and SEHS its actually hard to say what's installed by default because lots of things layer into it. Have a look at the steam page (doesn't matter if you're not on PC) as that will cover the contents properly for you.
No the base game comes with a selection of routes and trains. There are various starter packs with various combinations. Look in the store for your platform to see what is available for you in your region.
Looking at the various sections they are displaying 4of4 completed for the training. But the others have 0of0, no locos , or routes.. The game seems empty, also when I switch users it says wireless controller disconnected? It doesn't do that with other games. This is on an original PS4, would that cause this?
You've never been able to create routes in TSW, you might be thinking of TSC. You can create scenarios, go to Creators Club from the main menu then you'll find scenario planner and livery designer.
Is this a game like flight simulator 2020 where you can drive trains through germany or usa for example? Or is it just a few routes for each country? How much routes does the standard edition have?
All TSW2 routes should work fine with TSW3 but you may need to manually download them see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VuwhZmT6I5Y.html you don't need to pay for them again just find them in the store and download
@@railfanningisthebest as long as you stay on the same platform all your TSW2 content is available for TSW3. The core routes are DLC. They'll be downloading after the game or you'll need to download them manually depending on your platform and settings. dovetailgames.freshdesk.com/support/solutions
On some platforms even the core routes are a DLC and download separately. You're on Xbox I guess? Go into manage the game and find the DLC and tick it to download once it finishes it will appear in the game. Note you need to fully exit the game for it to show up.
Visit training centre. Each train has simple tutorials to get you going. They'll walk you through setup and driving. When you're ready to level up take a look at the tutorials on my channel here.
Like any game you pay for it. The base game comes with a selection on DLC depending on which version you buy. After that everything new that comes out is an optional separate purchase.
I see other people are having problems with the simulator. I've completed the 4 training sessions, now I can't get any further. Quick play doesn't open , Routes , Trains, Tasks doesn't work . I'm on PS4 ?
There are two ways into free roam, either just choose it under the "to the trains" by choosing a route then free roam; or when you finish a service or scenario the end screen should have a return to free roam option so you can find another train
At 2:17 where all the trains are and you choose a delivery I have no options come up to choose from and it’s really frustrating me. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong ?
@@trainsimulatordriver PS4. I can get to chose the trains timetables but the one train I’ve downloaded I click on it and no timetables appear or anything so it makes it unplayable. I can only play it in the tutorial.
@@trainsimulatordriver thanks for the reply and yeah you are exactly right. I downloaded the train LMS Jubilee Black and I can’t access it due to no routes. Do you know how I can fix this? Thanks again.
Can anyone help me please, when I click on go to trains all it shows me is a Class 66 TTC, but when I go to store it shows I have the bakerloo line and the German line already owned, can anyone please tell me how I can drive the trains/ routes that say I already own them 👍

@@ArenaBreakoutGamplay mods of that kind are PC only, there are in game livery mods that do work on console, look on Creators Club from inside the game
You should be able to pick any train that you own and it will run on its home route. You can use them on other routes in Off The Rails mode if you build your own scenario. Start from "To The Trains" then pick one of the red ones you want (assuming you own any) then choose the route you want to run on and the service and off you go.
It won't let me select a route thing. I select timetable, I select train, then nothing. It only allows me to get to the train selection menu. Also, even though it says the free routes, when select view details, it takes me to the store and forces me to lay for them
It’s disappointing that you can’t place items like in Trainz simulator. I wanted to make a loop around sand patch grade to always be able to run around the tracks and never reach a dead end
Hi Erik, the scenarios run with combination of train and route so you need both to play them. Can you give me more of an idea of what is happening step by step?

@@alvaropermadi you're welcome, I'll have new tutorials for tsw5 soon. Remember to claim the free upgrade starter pack on your platform between sep17-oct-17
That's easy. Look at the time table, find a train that's going to the station you want and the time it will depart then choose "on foot" from the timetable menu and walk to the train and get in to ride. Most of them let you sit in the seats.
There's no official guard mode in the game, but on several recent trains you can do it. You can either start on foot (to the trains, choose the route, timetable then on foot) and get on a train and do it, or start in a train and give it up then take over the doors. Midland will have it. The revised Island Line and Glasgow both have it.
