The VIN on the block is a bit more than the last six of the production sequence. It will have the division (2 for Pontiac), year (8 for 1978 model year), N or L (Norwood, OH or Van Nuys, CA) and then the last six of the VIN which is the production sequence. They started stamping engines and transmissions with partial VINs around 1968.
I know the location of 3 one owner Trans Am's. I've kept in touch with the owners for years, but none of them are willing to sell. 😡 '73, 455 auto Trans Am, '75, 400, 4 speed, '78, 400, 4 speed, T-top car. I really want the '73, the owner Jane, and I used to be neighbors.
great car, bit of a letdown with the video of the `resurrection` --- not very well done, the narration would benefit from preparing a script - it was too amateurish - especially when the presenters seem to be talking between themselves, its a video guys, its the viewers who need the audio. The song at the end was dreadful, the owners pics were awful, all in all you`d lift your subscribers 1000% if you attacked these a tad more professionally. As a past owner of a `77 SE - 1 OF 212 made - I enjoyed the video, not enough to subscribe, and thats what you`re striving for yeah? subscribers.,
