“Ball and Parlay” is a popular tune which has been played at Tuskegee football games since the mid 1980s. What usually happens when the Crimson Piper Band strikes up “Ball and Parlay” is that Tuskegee rallies and win no matter what. I'm sure there is a number of state representatives who are humming this tune before speaking to the nation. Tuskegee produce every genre of professionals operating today in a diverse mixture of occupations within its walls. The students of Tuskegee are living as one even though they are all formed in the diverse circumstances of difference. As the song says, “We ball and parlay, we get cronk everyday, that’s what we do, it’s the Tuskegee way" "Whether Its Sunny or Grey We Gonna Ball and Parlay Keep It Cronk Everyday That's The Tuskegee Way. So Take Your Seat Cuz We Live Marching Hard 8 to 5 That's What We Do Everyday As We Ball and Parlay." To be honest when I listen and see Tuskegee , I see a bright future, a future ...... might I say when we are truly exploiting the freedom we deserve within our land.
I gotta correct you on this one, that song was a rap song out of Houston,that dropped in the early 2000's. Skegee took it and made it what it is today. It wasn't done in the 80's, and definitely not the 90's. I graduated from Skegee in 96. The second song was done when I was there, it's usually the first song the band play.
