Half of the NFL was tanking for Tua at some point but after injuries, bad coaching and no talent around him most started saying he's a back up QB. I never lost faith in Tua knowing the accuracy, eye manipulation and being able to read coverages don't just go away like that. Plus he threw the deep ball to perfection in college.

It really does seem that the purpose of media nowadays is more to gaslight than inform. I will say, though, that it remains to be seen what Tua will be able to do when he’s making $55 million a year and the Phins have to choose between his weapons and fielding a marginally competent defense.

I guess the question then is do the Fins help make Tua a top 5 paid QB or not. Tyreek's contract is up at 2026 and Waddle is looking for his 2nd contract by 2025. So it is up to Fins GM Chris Grier to decide where a potential deep playoff/SB window is now and how to navigate it.

@@terranceramirez4816 The idea that every starting QB should be paid max money is ridiculous. I think Denver and Arizona are doomed with the contracts they've given Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray. I'm as big a Tua fan as there is but I don't think he should get Mahomes money. Hopefully he will recognize that he's in a perfect system for him with a great head coach and maybe they can give him something like $30-$35 million a year on a 3-4 year extension so they can afford to keep the talent around him.

Mike McDaniel is legit it seems. Tua came into this season averaging 192 YPG, and he's at 284 YPG this year. Already set a career high for TDs in a season, his passer rating is like 20 points above last year, he's doubled his QBR from last year, and he isn't turning it over. AFC East is gonna be wild for a long time with him and Allen.

McDaniel IS legit. He consistently schemes Tua on pass plays to have an answer in getting the ball out quick while taking advantage of the speedsters at each side. Even against defenses with D-lines who are good at pressuring on pass downs. Fins O-line isn't perfect either so the execution and anticipation has to be on point especially with how much ground Hill/Waddle can cover in say slant routes.

@@sAmoan1979 Wouldn't really put him in coach of the year for that. As that has more to do with Grier as he's the on making those moves and was the one who stock piled all of the picks that allowed the team to make many of these moves. Sure Mike should be in Coach of the Year regardless for turning a team that ranked like 26th in offense to the top 3 this year but Grier deserves most of the love for the roster moves. Only guys that I can imagine came in just due to Mcdaniel's are Mostert and Sherfield. But it was Grier that made the trade with SF to get 3 first round picks that turned into Waddle, Hill and Chubb. It was Grier who signed Armstead and Conners on the line. Was also Grier who signed McDaniel's as the HC. So he 100% should win executive of the year.

In a way it eventually helps Tyreek because it shows even if they try and do take away hill and waddle Tua can still burn you elsewhere which again will open things up for Hill in other games, pick your poison, as long as Hill and Tua are healthy Hill is going to eat.

Tua also gets like a bonus ability by being left handed. Because the spin is different it’s harder to adjust to catching which can cause defenders to miss some interceptions.

Tua was one of if not the best tight window QBs in football his first 2 seasons. What do yall think he was going to do when he was finally in a better system with protection and weapons around him? It doesn't matter what defenses do because Tua is processing plays too quickly, spreading the ball around and making it look easy. Tua's attacking the middle of the field at an elite level. That's what separates the elite from the rest. That's confidence and insane timing and feel for the game. Cleveland tried to take away the middle and Tua just hit them on edges. As long as he has reasonable time to throw there's nothing defenses can do. Tua will almost always find the open man and quickly

What`s scary is the O-line are coming together, with Tua almost at the top of his game, good RB`s. A Def. playing real good, running QB`s hurt us Jackson, Allen, Fields but we won all three of those games.......DON`T LET THIS TEAM START BELIEVING !!! Chub at 63 yards and 33 came on one play.

Tua done something that has only been done once in a season and he did it in 6 games. He tied NFL record for most 300 yard games with 3 tds, no ints and 70% completion %. Dan Marino held this record since 1984 over the course of 16 games. Tua is on pace to annihilate this record.

Guys like JT are so rare when it comes to Tua. All Tua believers want is people who can pick apart the film through a pure lense. He was fair in the previous couple years with his analysis. When he saw bad he called it. But now he can appreciate and acknowledge the good thats showing up on film. Before Mike McDaniel Tua had no offensive coaching staff to really help him out. Flores is a defensive first guy but his first OC was strictly for Fitzpatrick (he didn't think Tua would start then) and last season he had 2-3 guys supposedly working the play calling. In some games even Flores got involved there for bad results. So it shows the importance of having the right environment for the talent (along with other talents) to truly develop and evaluate them.

Something you don't see "a lot in practice" if you haven't played the game or only played at HS level or HS and FCS as I have.. do we see that a lot at the major college level? I think arm strength plays a major part in him missing that first throw. A strong arm allows you to be a tick late, not have your feet set and still rip it in there. It's a margin for error guys like Tua just don't have. Idk if he can make that deep Flag throw on a line and beat the safety. Maybe, but it's not a guarantee which is partly why I think he didn't throw it

People refuse to admit that QB play is MOSTLY mental! They see unreal talent like Lamar or Allen or Fields and swoon, which creates entitled arrogance from most of those with such extreme physical gifts. Plus they had those talents from grade school and it creates a personality that insists on being paid at the peak of that elite mountaintop. TEAM players appreciate the talent they need around them and will share the money as well as the spotlight. Tua does not fake humility. He was raised to be a good man. It is fun to watch him succeed when most HATED him!

He's was always elite. Landed in an organization that didn't want him and hip injury that needed healing - Tom Brady Deshaun Watson trade rumours. No OL and zero running game, a HC that hated him with high school coaches as his OCs. 2 years removed from his hip injury and he's showing everyone why he was supposed to be the #1 draft in his class.

J.T., don't know if you watch much of these guys or have any interest, but Commanders coach Ron Rivera said he has not decided on Taylor Heinecke or Carson Wentz as his starter if Wentz is ready to come off IR. Wentz was 2-4 as a starter when he was injured and Heinecke is 3-1 in relief, including the win last night at Philly. I thought an evaluation of the play of those QBs, which one you would start and why, might be an interesting topic for a video.

Product placement is crucial. And there is not a single qb in the NFL with better product placement than Tua Tagovailoa. And you don't complete throws like that "swap" play to Waddle at the sideline, without arm strength and product placement. If either of those are lacking, that ball goes back the wrong direction for 6. The DB wanted to break on it, but he didn't have an actual chance to do it like he thought he was going to.
