TUCCI Delmonico's New Sister Restaurant Opening Day! Best Italian Food in NYC?

The owners and chef behind New York's most famous restaurant, Delmonico's, are opening an Italian trattoria in NoHo, so we had to check it out! The menu is almost entirely new, but features some Delmonico's favorites like the Delmonico Steak. But if you think an Italian restaurant would be a little cheaper than a steakhouse, you're in for a surprise!

Quite an honor to be the first people to reserve and the first ones to enter on grand opening night! The food looks amazing! Thanks so much for sharing!

CA Here. Luv you guys reviews. Man, for the prices, the portions are small. Glad we have you guys out telling us what we are "missing!" This is meant to be compliment.

Thanks! Yeah it’s definitely rare to leave an Italian restaurant hungry, and we ordered more than most people probably would. We pick places we’re really excited to try but when they’re not as good as we expect at least we can let others know!

We’re so lucky to live in NYC where you can find an excellent hole in the wall Italian joint. Granted they’re pretty scarce in Manhattan these days but 25 years ago they were everywhere. My neighborhood in Queens has several. Italian at that price point is just beyond my budget. Spoiled I guess with NY, NJ, CT surrounding us in NYC… too many great old school legit spots with entrees in the $20-$30 range. The price on those meatballs alone made my jaw drop. Plus… cooking excellent Italian at home is simple if you have the time.

Couldn’t agree more. Prices like these need to be earned and I think it’s pretty telling reservations are easy to get. There are so many amazing Italian restaurants around at much more reasonable prices!

@@travelfuller Hi, Even after having subscribers and good content on your channel, the video views are not getting good. Hash tag, Title, description, end screen, SEO needs to be well optimized in some of your videos. Do you want to increase your channel subscribers and video views?

Just a bit surprised no pairing with a wine. Still the food looks so interesting, tasty plus welcoming atmosphere. Yeah pricey but so what its not like everyday & it's uniquely new. Tanks for the review. Did you two get your picture taken being the first in or some door prize? lol Cheers from sunny Florida (BTW, temp is currently 80F & very sunny)

The drinks were so expensive! We opened a bottle right when we got home haha but no!! No one acknowledged that it was opening day or that we were the first reservation at all. We kind of thought someone would at least say thanks for coming, especially because we were the only people there for the first hour! Haha lucky you, it’s 55 and sunny here so not too bad

Will: I totally agree with you that there are a quantity of very good upscale Italian restaurants in the 5 boroughs that are serving excellent food at better prices than Tucci & larger portions! Most of those portions looked like Childress size, LOL! Agreed the dishes were very good but not at ☆☆ Michelin prices😢 I just saw the NYT 100 best listing! WOW😅 Kristen, your jacket looked so elegant! Great Video!

Great Italian is definitely easy to find in the city so I probably wouldn't go out of my way or spend the extra money to come here. We've only been to a few on the NYT 100 best but hopefully we can start trying more! Thank you!

Looks good but those prices!! $44 for chicken parm and no pasta on the side, and the meatballs were almost as much as the octopus!! This was a great review and you guys killed it as usual! 🥰
@travelfuller

I know right! You could make enough chicken parm and spaghetti to feed at least ten people for that! Haha thanks!! 🙏

Good review, that lasagna was the most pathetic I’ve seen and the price, with a city filled with Italian restaurants, this would be the last one I would eat at.
@travelfuller

Thanks! Yeah they're charging more than most Michelin starred Italian restaurants without having earned anything. It was pretty disappointing to be honest

Too small and too expensive in our opinion. Feel like you kind of have to build up to feeling like a Michelin star restaurant
